How to install flash player on my Mac, completely new to Mac!!

I took my Macbook Pro into the store and they had to delete everything and then reinstall the OS and all my data. I have not had any problems redownloading various applications, but no matter what I do, I cannot install Flashplayer. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, opening the installer directly from the package, etc. There is no version of flash currently on my computer, but still, I cannot download and install it (even an older version).
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have installed the latest OS update and Safari update, as of 13th May 2012. Flash player will not install.I select the yellow download control from the Adobe site, a grey screen is displayed and nothing happens. There is no record of the application downloading. Under System Prefeences there is not Flash Player icon.

I uninstalled FP a few weeks ago because it was crashing Safari 5.0.6 on a regular basis. This morning, I ran the flashback security update sent out by apple a couple of days ago. I decided to see if that update might reduce the flash crashes with Safari + Flash Player, so I have been trying for hours to install FP 10.3. I go to the correct Adobe page and follow the instructions. Nothing happens. The tiny spinning wheel in the internet address line does not stop spinning, even after 30 minutes. I have thoroughly reviewed the adobe pages dealing with installation problems to no avail. Â

I've tried everything to get this thing to install, but after downloading nothing happens. I have no flash player on my Mac. I've spent hours trying to follow Adobe instructions, but I'm just going around in circles.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an iMac and a Mac Book Pro. On the iMac, Flash Player works fine on Youtube, etc. EXCEPT within Facebook. When I click on a video within Facebook it appears to load the viewing pane but the video never starts. No error messages. I have reinstalled Maverick OS/X, done a clean uninstall/reinstall of Adobe Flash Player, checked all settings, still have the problem. It works fine on the Mac Book Pro, both computers are using the same version of MAC OS/X and Flash Player with the same settings. Obviously there is something different on the iMac but I'm unable to

I have Flash Player set to update automatically.Â
For the last month or so I've been getting pop up messages on my system that I have to update Flash Payer.Â
I click the link, download the installation dmg, double click the installer, 4/5ths of the way through it says it can't complete the operation. (I close all browsers etc. )Â
Google Chrome is running the latest version of Flash as it does it automatically (v14), but Safari and presumably anything else that uses Flash is running v13.
I wonder if this sounds familiar to you : I'm trying to install adobe flash player 11 on my iMac ( 10.7.3 ) but without success. Downloading is ok but installing is a problem, after starting the installing process it results not in the application but in the installing manager.

About a week ago, we accidentally installed what we think is a bad version of a flash player when attempting to register a rewards card. We un-installed the software as soon as we realized it was not the correct website for the rewards card. Since then, we are getting a flashing pop-up ad in the right column of the browser as well as a video window that pops-up from left bottom of browser and then multiple windows in Safari will just open.

DVD Player has been performing perfectly in Snow Leopard until this update to Mavericks.Â
I've tried resetting SMC/NVRAM. Reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Tried dumping the plist too. That did nothing. I've re-set SMC/NVRAM...done the Permissions using Disc Utility.Â
I can get a DVD to load selecting the Recovery Mode StartUp disk. Then I reboot and the DVD plays fine using the DVD controls. But ejecting and trying it again - it won't play. Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install flash player nine. I am using OS 10.2.8.
I download the .dmg file on to my hard drive. When I click the .dmg icon I get the box to install the flash player.
It reads 12 items to install. It get's to item number 4 and then it just gets stuck.
It shows that it's searching "untitled." But nothing is going on. It goes on for hours. I have tried this over 20 times with the same results.
I use Firefox & Safari. Anyone got an idea of what's wrong?
where does adobe flash player install? I know it is a plugin, but I do not always want to open a browser to view flash material, I want to link up a flash document on a teaching CD so that it will start when I click on the link.

I recently recieved the Flash Player Ugrade notice on my MacBook Pro rinning Lion and I accepted it and began the upgrade. Right in the middle of the upgrade, my nac crashed and I had to power down reboot. From that point on, the upgrade will not install and only gives a "installed failed".
