I wonder if this sounds familiar to you : I'm trying to install adobe flash player 11 on my iMac ( 10.7.3 ) but without success. Downloading is ok but installing is a problem, after starting the installing process it results not in the application but in the installing manager.

I recently recieved the Flash Player Ugrade notice on my MacBook Pro rinning Lion and I accepted it and began the upgrade. Right in the middle of the upgrade, my nac crashed and I had to power down reboot. From that point on, the upgrade will not install and only gives a "installed failed". I went to the Adobe site and used the uninstall tool for flash, still gives error on install of any version of flash. Â

A few weeks ago, I uninstalled Adobe flash player because I thought it was causing some problems. I'm trying to install it again, but as soon as it starts the installation process, it gets pauses at "Retrieving Install" and hangs at zero. I just purchased an iMac OS X version 10.7.3. My kids keep trying to play games but are prompted that they need to download Adobe Flash player. I follow the prompts for the latest version, but no luck. It says it's successfully installed. When I go to system preferences and click on the flash player, it says "plug in version 11.2.202.228 is installed" but when I click the "check now" box and it tells me to the Adobe websitem, under version information it says I have 9.0.124.0 installed? I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times to no avail.
