May 21, 2012I was attempting to fix a 210 error on my 10.5.8 OSX Server Wiki Calendar. I highlighted my 58 user accounts in Workgroup manager and selected Enable calendaring and the machine hung up. I had to force quit the Workgroup Manager and restarted the machine.I then tried to log into my administartor account and was unable to. We logged into another account and had to create a new admin account where I noticed the admin account that was created on install had been changed somehow to Admin, Sharing Only.

ICloud :: Switched From MobileMe But Losing Some Features?
Feb 16, 2012I just upgraded to iPhone 4S and switched from MobileMe to iCloud. I knew I was losing some features, but since the System Preferences…>iCloud pane (in Mac OS X 10.7.3) shows "Mail & Notes" (which I checked), I figured that notes will continue to sync. Except they do not. And, unlike the MobileMe PrefPane, there is no "Sync now" button to force synchronization. So, the notes on my iPhone and on my MBP are now out of sync. Then I thought to check on icloud.com… and find no way to access Notes there.So, are Notes supposed to be sync'ed or not?? Does anyone else have this problem? (I suspect I can connect the iPhone to iTunes, and force the transfer of info, but that would not merge them and I'm likely going to lose something

Jan 16, 2009I have Entourage 2008 and have since long enabled the sync feature to sync with ical and address book. I use Entourage mainly as sync engine and do my daily work in the standard MAC applications (mail, adressbook, ical).
Since a couple of days I noticed that events did not sync between Entourage and ical. I tried to disable and enable the sync option i Entourage to get it working again. Nothing happened.

Mar 13, 2012Mine is only a month old after being replaced due to a fault and now after the IOS 5.1 update it freezes when I try to unlock it and it has also frozen at the end of a call meaning I couldn't finish the call. I had to hold both buttons to reset it which doesn't always fix the freeze the first time.Also I have noticed that all my calendar notifications on the dashboard have gone too. No matter what I do with the notifications in the settings the calendar won't appear.

Aug 20, 2014Unfortunately the logic board of my (late 2011) MacBook Pro died. Luckily it was an old unibody model, so I could move my SSD to a similar (albeit older, mid-2009) model and booting up my installation went fine.Â
The only problem I am facing is that I seem to have lost all items in the Local Items keychain, this includes all my Apple Mail passwords and a lot of passwords I entered in Safari. These were very long passwords I generated to be automatically used when needed, for security.Â
It seems that the Local Items keychain is not a .keychain file, but a directory with a SQLite database which is used when iCloud Keychain is disabled. Apparently it just created a new directory with an empty Local Items keychain instead of using the existing one. The name of the directory seems to be an unique ID related to the hardware I'm using.Â
I have already tried to rename my old keychain directory to the UUID of the new one and rebooting, but then it simply renames the user.kb file to user.kb-invalid and starts out with an empty keychain again. I cannot imagine that you always lose all your passwords like this every time your hardware goes defective? I still have the data stored in the login.keychain file, but since I have used Mavericks it apparently does not store all passwords there anymore.Â

I managed to get rid of the lost+found items on the iMac, but the DROBO says "The operation can�t be completed because the item �dir_1558208� is in use." as well as the rest of the contents.

Can't Turn Off ICloud And F'd Up Calendar
Mar 4, 2012I have an iPhone with my Work calendar Synced with my work computer (outlook Calendar). Also, I have iMac 27" i5 with my Home calendar (iCal).This has worked fine and separetly for the last 3years.My home calenders allow me to organise my life with payments and is very important. My work calendar, well that speaks for it's self. I install iOS5 on iPhone and Lion on the iMac which unbekownence to me have iCloud syncing on and doing stuff that has totally corupted my iMac Home Calendar.My home calendar has my work calander mixed in with my home calendar and reminders popup every few minutes that I have already dissmissed.They won't stop popping up.The same one over and over and they go back a month or more.Additionally, when I try to add an event it sometimes puts it in very day instead of a monthly re-ocurring event and then it won't delete the event.I've tried to turn off iCloud, and it does all the right things and appears to turn off but then when I go back in it is on again.The Work Calendar (Windows 7 Office 2010) doesn't show any symptoms and has kept working as it should on my work computer as on the iPhone. Neither appear to be effected.I've tried all the delete files and reinsralls but iCal seems to just get more confused. It renames calendars and is totally out of control to the point of no return.I can't find any where which shows how to delete iCal and do a fresh install of iCal and not have iCloud sync.I have searched Google for months and months with no joy.What I need is to stop iCloud and it off permently as it appears to be a problem for how I use my apps. I do not want to use iCloud for calander or anything just yet.I need to get my original .ics backup in iCal that I have and working on it's own and with out the cloud or syncing.
