Deciding on whether or not to use iCal or my Google Calendar. I like the look and feel of the ical overall, but it seems nice that the google calendar will sync over the air with my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since Icloud, everytime I enter an event it doubles, or triples the event. This occurs even with all but one of the calendar types checked. I would love to just delete those other types of calendar because I dont need 5 types of calendars. Things were working great until Icloud dammit Steve lol

I have duplicates in my ical that show multiple entries on for each entry and birthday calendar. Everything that I've read is not working thus far.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe main issue is that in iTunes>Devices>Info>Sync Calendars, I see of Local calendars listed and also iCloud calendars listed (they show a portion of the address (CalDAV?) that they use to sync), and the issue is that I have DUPLICATE iCloud calendar entries here and I would love to remove them.
Here is my setup:
MBP with Lion and iPhone 3G with all updates.
All of my calendars sync with iCloud (I also have an iPad, but not issue with it.) and there are no duplicate calendars or events in iCloud on the web, so this is fine.I sync my iCloud/iCal calendars to my iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2.1) via iTunes and this is going well, so no problems here, either. I would just like to remove the duplicate iCloud calendars from iTunes under the Info pane so as to simplify life and my understanding. Also, there are other apps (like TimeTable) that go and read the master list of calendars. So, on this app, I see ALL of the calendars by name without being able to distinguish them any other way.how I can climb inside of iTunes and remove the duplicate iCloud calendar entries?

I installed Lion on my iMac and on the next day registered for iCloud. Immediately all data in iCal disappeared. Calendar was empty in iCloud also. Have tried to recover data through Time Machine, but unsuccessful.

When I hide a Google calendar from the calendar list online, the calendar continues to show up on Mac OS X Mavericks Calendar. How can I get that calendar to not show up in Apple's Calendar without completely deleting it from my Google account?
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I add a new entry to my mac calendar it automatically sets 2 reminders, 30min before via notification and 30min before via mail. I don't want these settings, so every time I add a new entry I have to manually delete both reminders. That is really annoying if you create 20+ entries every day...Â
I couldn't find any settings about new entries?
I've recently changed service provider for my exchange (now using 2010 on PC and and outlook for Mac2011). I had been using 2003 and my iphone synched fine and also updated the server when I deleted emails. Now I have several issues. When I upgrade the software on my iphone it duplicates contacts and some calendar appointments. Also whilst emails I delete on my Macbook air update the server, my iphone isn't updated and also if I delete things on my iphone they don't delete on either machine. (This use to be fine on earlier software and before I had the Macbook). My iphone wants me to update to iOS 5.1.1 but both of the last times I've updated the software it duplicates appointments and deletes a whole load of contacts off the server. Am wondering whether it's because despite settings changing it is holding history of the old account.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs a newbie to the site, I am hoping I will be able to find some wonderful advice from somewhere as I am encountering a problem with Google calendar which has been happening since last week.
I have 10.5.4 running Safari 3.1, which should all work with Google Calendar, but it loads up the page through my usual account and password, but then gets stuck 4/5ths of the way into loading. This means I can't access any data within the calendar, so I can neither add nor modify existing data within the calendar.
I also have a PC here and that can access the calendar fine, using Internet Explorer.
In addition to this problem, for the same amount of time I have also been encountering frequent error messages on frequently-visited sites like Facebook saying that the page "could not be loaded as the server was not responding". Really odd. I have checked with my service provider and have assurances that my bband is 6+Mbps, so it's not that.
I have 3 macs all running the same OSX and all encountering this same problem.
Any ideas? I have emptied the cache, deleted the cookies (they are still enabled). Does anyone know if Safari 3.1 is now out of date and no longer workable with this app? If so, Google are fibbing on their help page!
How the blazes do you you get rid of MULTIPLE entries in ical? I have read many answers and printed off a few to follow them but invariably i get to a point where I am unable to take the next step! I back track and and unable to find a fault of where I went wrong!! Then I have to ask myself WHY? Why on earth am I having to go to such extreme lengths to get rid of the unwanted entries?Come on now Apple it is you who should be providing the simple logic answer to this?I decided to give up? just ignore the other entries it easier than going frantic trying (and anyway I am frightened I may throw the macbook in my temper)

Does anyone know of one that actually works? I've tried a couple and after pasting in the XML location of my calendar, they don't do anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI set up the syncing through CalDav but in iCal it creates a new calendar (which is the Google Calendar). Would I have to delete my original calendar called "Home" and just make the Google Calendar (in iCal) my main calendar? Does it do a good job of syncing both ways? Also, if I do this, does it also sync through MobileMe?
I've followed the tutorials online to sync my Google Calendar with my iCal.The problem however, is that, after doing so, only the calendars that are in Google Calendar are synced. What I mean is that lets say I create a calendar called Birthday in iCal. This would not appear in my Google Calendar! To fix this, I actually have to create the calendar in Google, then sync it!
On my mac(10.9.4) System Preference -> security & privacy, no app allowed to access my calendar.
On iPad(7.1.2) Settings -> security & privacy, only Penultimate, Skitch and Evernote are allowed to access my calendar.Â
It is weird that Gmail can notify me any event I put on my calendar.
How can I block it?

I have an ipad and a Mac for work and use icloud to sync ical. What is infuriating is that the ipad is only retaining details for the preceding month and wiping anything before that. Why is it happening and how do I stop it?
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy issue is that I am going to icloud.com (on my macbook pro) and inputting my appointments on the calander. When I put them on there it shows the correct time I've scheduled and all that. I look on my calendar on my iphone and sure enough all of my appointments are on there but....they are all scheduled for 3 hours later than they should be. For example, I schedule a client for a 2 pm appointment on icloud...It shows up on my iphone calendar that the client's appointment is at 5pm. I went back and looked at Icloud and all the appointments were still set for the correct time on there.. So I go and try to put in all of the correct times on my Iphone, i save them, take a look 5 minutes later and they are all back to being 3 hours off. What is going on here?!? By the way I'm running Mac OS x Version 10.6.8

Have no idea why this has happened, but basically I have been syncing using itunes manually via a cable, got the email from Apple to upgrade, went through the process, now its all on icloud, but I have noticed I have dupliate ical entries.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI went to my calendar (iCal) on my MacBook Air and all my appointments were gone! All that is displayed are all my Facebook friends' birthdays. I went to System Prefs > iCloud and saw that Calendar was unchecked. I checked it and it tried to sync for 30 seconds and then failed. The box was automatically unchecked. I tried this repeatedly. The calendar on my iPhone, which is also synced to my iCloud account looks fine. What happened to my calendar on my laptop and how do I get them back?

I'm wanting to ask if there is a good Mac App, maybe an all in one type app?
