ICloud :: Setup It Onto Computers And Now Cannot Connect IPhone To Computers?
May 12, 2012
I set up the icloud on to my computers, now I cannot connect my iphone to my computers, I get a err message saying it is drawing to much power from my computers, whats up?I didn't have this problem before and it is on both my imac and my macbook.
I just switched to the cloud email service. Yesterday my mail worked on all 3 of the G5s I use. Today I can only get mail on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. It keeps asking for my password on the 3 G5 computers.I tried deleting and resigning in to icloud and I tried to change the email from mac mail to imac mail but it is still not working.
Info: Dual Processor G5, Mac OS X (10.3.9), Ram 1 GB, 2 HD
We are trying to set up a system where 4 computers are connected to a set of hard drives and connected through Ethernet. We'd like a fast speed. Which systems to get? Which cable is fastest? Is it hard to set up?
I am interested in using a Time Capsule to run Time Machine automatic backup for both computers in my house (Mac Mini and Macbook). Is this easy to setup for two computers? The manual says on page 1 that it can do multiple computers, but nowhere else in the manual to they mention how to set it up.
Congratulations on purchasing your Time Capsule. Read this guide to get started. The new Time Capsule offers you the simplicity of fully automated backup for your WiFi network. Using the Time Machine application in Mac OS X v10.5.2 Leopard or later, it's easy and automatic to back up all the computers on your network to a single Time Capsule.
I have a Macbook running Mac OS 10.4.11 which i believe is Tiger. I just purchased a refurb 2009 macmini which came with came with setup disc which includes snow leopard. Am I able to use that disc to install snow leopard on me macbook? If so how do i go about doing it.
The problem is I cannot connect to my dad's iMac 24" from my 15" MBP. I don't understand why - I am able to connect to my little brother's MBP (pre-unibody) and my dad is able to connect to MY computer just fine.
Contact iTunes Support at url..I have changed email addresses, changed passwords also renewed my card details, in short I've tried everything to rectify this but its not having any of it, can someone please make a suggestion that I can try I can't download a thing to any of my mac computers nor my iphone, my iphone is new and I can't use it for what I want to as i can't download anything even free stuff, so apart from creating a new apple i.d.
I have a time capsule and a MacBook Air for the last number of months. Both had been working perfectly and even when my neighbour came over with his MacBook, we could quite easily network between the two computers and connect the two to the internet via the time capsule... Furthermore my MacBook air backed up regularly to the time capsule using time machine without a problem.
Problem. I got a new iMac and uploaded an imprint of my MacBook account and data onto it from the time capsule. I now cannot connect the two computers to the time capsule simultaneously, cannot network between them or cannot have both connected to the internet at the same time.. Furthermore, neither will back up to the time capsule using time machine. Very frustrating, because I know that it is something very simple causing this, but I am new enough to Mac and cannot resolve.
I'm trying to connect my iMac to my macbook via ethernet, and my macbook recognizes my iMac, but my iMac doesn't recognize my macbook. This means that in my macbook network settings, the Ethernet icon is green, while in my iMac network settings, the Ethernet is yellow. Both say Status: Connected, but my iMac's ethernet is yellow for some reason. How do I get it to turn green and recognize my Macbook? I don't think this makes a difference, but my iMac is 10.6.8 and my macbook is 10.5.8.
After upgrading devices to iCloud from MobilMe. Back to My Mac is only working on some computers so I cannot see all connected computers as before. We have 1 office and 2 home offices, all 3 use Airport and have always been able to Screen Share, etc.
when i restore on macbook error 21 or 1611 pops up but on other computers like mac mini it restores both computers are up to date macbook is brand new please help wat should i do
I'm contemplating the move to iCloud from MobileMe. I need to be able to sync an older Mac Mini G4 running 10.5.8 too. It can't run Snow Leopard or Lion, so this one issue is holding me back from the iCloud transition - I would have to replace that computer to do so, which seems ridicluous. I'm concious that I need to make a decision before the June shutdown of Mobile Me and need to plan.
I have an iMac and a Macbook Pro.The MB Pro is connected to an OWC hard drive via eSATA.I would like to connect the iMac to it as well via FW 400 since the hard drive has a FW 400 connection. Will the iMac recognize it and can it write to it as well, regardless whether the Macbook Pro is on or not?
In the past, I could put an appointment on one computer and it would sync immediately with my 2 laptops, iPhone, and iPad. This is the reason I loved Mobile Me and paid for it for years. iCloud work fine for awhile, but now some of my appointments are not syncing. I have checked all of the settings and they are correct. I put an important appointment on my main laptop last night and it is not on any of the other devices; I then put it on my iPhone and it is not on my iMac at work. All of my software is up to date and current. I really depend on this feature.
When I was using my mobile.me account I was able to access my office computer from home but now nothing. I only see what's on my local network. I've tried signing in with my mobile.me account on all computers but nothing happens still not seeing the office computer. What changed?
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2), 2.5GHz Intel Core i5
I recently bought an iphone 4s. I have a macbook pro and have had itunes account for years.when i try to sign up to icloud using my current apple id, it says that apple id is already in use and to change my ID, but the ID is mine and i can sign in fine to itunes with it.
I bought SL for my home computer but want to install it also on my work computer since it is taking long for the IT people to decide when to move to SL.
Can I just take my CD and install it on my work computer? Will this cause any problems such as not able to download software updates and such?
Im trying to get on the pc here on my home network I cant seem to find it and my pc cant find me??? I have my office set up that works fine, but at home no luck... I dont remember how I set my mac up to see the office pc's but i dont think it was this much of a pain
I have been pondering building a LAN for a Computer System that is used for Photography Editing/Printing and Videography this will be for multiple MAC computers which will share a mass storage drive and accommodate a print server capable of addressing 6 Epson Stylus Pro printers with print expansion to 10 printers. The beginning network will consist of 2 iMACs, 3 MAC Pro's and 1 MAC Book. The Network server needs to be at least 2 TB with expansion capabilities. In addition, the Server must be able to address up to 8 MAC computers. I have been searching the WWW as well as various manufactures for information but after hours of searching and reading they all claim to be capable of doing what I desire. I am interested in feedback from MAC users who have experience in this area and have positive results. If you have built a similar system and can recommend the Hardware/Software that has functioned with your MAC equipment I would be interested in your results and recommendations. Finances are not an issue so going cheap is not my intent, speed, reliability and expandability are key factors.
I have an old imac swivel head g4 and am about to get a mac mini intel.
I use my computer mostly for watching movies and editing video with FCP.
Can I link the two together to shorten rendering time or get any benefit out of the two machines working together or should I sell the g4 for $20 and buy a dvd to watch on my new mini?
so i have all my music on one computer and on my iphone, but i want to know how to go to another computer and get songs off that one without losing my original library,
When I open finder and click network, I don't see my respective other Mac. The iMac doesn't show the Powerbook there, and the Powerbook doesn't show the iMac. Both machines list my XP machine though. I can go to "go connect to server" under finder and enter computer name or IP address, and it does connect to the other Mac. However, why isn't it just showing up under network? Yes, I do have file sharing on.
I have 3 computers: 1 Desktop Windows, 1 Macbook (alum), 1 Macbook Pro. I also have a PS3. Looking to setup network storage but not sure what my options are. I'm aware of network storage devices which backup and share, but can I setup the same thing with an extra hard drive in my PC? Or perhaps an external hard drive? I basically want a separate hard drive(s) to do mirror and incremental backups, as well as share music, pics, docs, etc. with all three computers and my PS3.
I have two Macs- a macbook pro and an imac and also a windows machine which are wireless and are running on an Airport Extreme network. I have a relatively large iTunes library of about 30GB. My question is that is there a way to keep all of my computers in sync automatically so that I dont have to go in and sync my music manually? Basically what I'm looking for is pretty much mobileme... but for iTunes.
I've reached my 5 computer limit of authorization. Problem is, I've only used two computers as I have been reinstalled Windows a few times this past year. Is there any way to get around this, or will it mean I won't be able to sync my phone correctly anymore?
I was browsing the net for a bit of info and I clicked on a link - all above board I am just searching for info on an old friend.a small window appeared from a site called antivirus.net (or something like that) saying I was in need of software or a scan or something. I clicked CANCEL and found myself on a site "mg7a.info" that looked like a Windows desktop with a scan running (this listed in my history as "my computer online scan").
I have two XP computers and an OS X computer sharing a NAS drive on the same network. All computer see one another and all computers can access the NAS drive. However, the problem I am having is that when I use the OS X computer to transfer photos from a memory card to the a folder on the NAS drive, the XP computers cannot see the (photo) files. The XP computers can see that particular folder, however they cannot add a file inside that folder. It sounds like a permissions issue, but I don't know where to start to try to fix the problem.
I am going on a gig for a company that has some systems that runs on Windows, I only have 128 GB on my computer, and with a few movies, pictures, Bento, MS Office, and a few utilities I only have 44 GBs available, I am afraid that if I install Parallels and Windows this computer will have almost no space for future files. Any idea of how much Parallels and Windows will occupy in terms of disk size? Any ideas of how to streamline OSX in order to leave more space available. I have used the search function, but I haven't found too many answers there.
