The guy I called from apple today was clueless and told me he didn't know how to do it, and then told me the wrong thing!I bought the storage under the impression that it was a useful product, but it wasn't doing what I thought it was supposed to do! View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing Mail 5.2, on OS 10.7.3, and have icloud paid storage ($40 plan; 25 gb total storage). Using icloud mail server, the server times out when I'm sending emails with attachments. Any attachment of 20-something kb gets me an outgoing message action bar with the horizontal blue meter slowly counting out the kb per second until it times about about 60 seconds later and I get a mail message telling me "Cannot send message using the server... icloud. Sending the message content to the server failed."Â
What is going on? I'm making an assumption that icloud server is limiting this. (I should say my internet service provider is verizon, and I know that they limit the kb I can send electronically. When I tried to send a simple 33 kb email w/ attachment I did get a different message saying verizon wouldn't let me send because it was over their data limit of 25kb per email.) My belief was that if I was using the FREE icloud I was limited to some smal kb, but I'm a paying customer. Doesn't this get me something like 250 kb of data sending? Â
I need to be able to send reasonable amounts of data from my computer by email. (Note, I've compressed the files - which only saved 2 kb.)

On Youtube there used to be a Subscription bar that would have all the recent video's by the people you have subscribed to in and you could skip to the next video in your subscription etc. Now it seems to have gone for me though and I don't see any way for skipping to the next video in your subscription without going back and clicking on subscriptions then choosing the video. Is it the same for everybody else or has anyone still got the subscription bar there?

They'll pay most of that for the time being BUT in this economy and speeds getting faster almost every year, I'd be stuck with it. MOST I'd want to go is a year(carrier doesn't matter we get $50/mo. but goes to a person not a business) in case there's any changes in staff and being stuck paying it or having a 5 G or something a year in and pay to break it off.Basically it's to show off to clients how ads work at our company and how they can see there's other clients of ours have work for them that they can submit bids on. Usage is very light. Not a replacement for my broadband only on the road type of things. Questions:1. Is there reliable pre-paid 3G usb modems out there?2. Is there a cheaper way of doing this say, change out my sim card to the device from my Iphone? I recently set up Apple Mail with a new account, this new account is an IMAP account for school. The school has a bunch of public folders set up and I really don't want those public e-mails to be contributing to my "new mail" count or downloading to my computer AT ALL.
I searched the Mail help menu and it says that you can control which folders you can subscribe to by going into the "Get Account Info..." menu. However, when I got to the "Subscriptions" tab, none of the folders load. It's just an empty list.
If I cancel my Audible subscription, can I still listen to my books? Or will they be DRM'ed so I can't?

Handbrake will only rip certain region ones, MacTheRipper gives me this DUMMY VOB warning and I'm just wasting my time. I don't think any of the free ones will actually be good because the movie industry is trying to make everything so hard. I guess the paid ones will be better since they probably have a special way of working around the DVD. So yes finally. I just can't be bothered anymore. I'll buy one. Conditions:
1) Ones that can rip the EXTRAS & BONUS FEATURES (like bloopers and DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY) of the DVD as well as the movie itself
2) Good quality
3) Good price (not too over-priced)

I bought a song and was billed for it on iTunes. When I tried to play it, a pop-up said, "This computer is not authorized to play....Would you like to authorize it?" I signed in, clicked the authorize button, and it says, "This computer is already authorized" and the window closed. I still can't play the song. I read online to check with the computer administrator and the file --> song info. It is registered with my email address. All other songs I have bought play with no problems. I heard also I could reinstall iTunes, so I went online and installed iTunes 10.6. It is installed but nothing is changed.

Took my dead MacBook Pro (purchased April 29, 2008) to the Genius Bar because it would not start-up. They sent it out for repairs and ended up replacing the Logic Board stating the symptom was "NVIDIA Video Issue (multiple issues)". They charged me $310 plus tax. Would this fall under the "MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues" from url...I tried calling Apple Corporate and they said the logic board had a loose wire. Hmmm seems weird to me since the graphic chip is soldered on to the logic board. The invoice said the reapir was covered and showed the amount owed to me was $0. When I went to pick up the fixed laptop the associate helping me had to speak to her manager and there was some back and forth as to whether I owed anything.
