On my mac(10.9.4) System Preference -> security & privacy, no app allowed to access my calendar.
On iPad(7.1.2) Settings -> security & privacy, only Penultimate, Skitch and Evernote are allowed to access my calendar.
It is weird that Gmail can notify me any event I put on my calendar.
How can I block it?

When I hide a Google calendar from the calendar list online, the calendar continues to show up on Mac OS X Mavericks Calendar. How can I get that calendar to not show up in Apple's Calendar without completely deleting it from my Google account?

As a newbie to the site, I am hoping I will be able to find some wonderful advice from somewhere as I am encountering a problem with Google calendar which has been happening since last week.
I have 10.5.4 running Safari 3.1, which should all work with Google Calendar, but it loads up the page through my usual account and password, but then gets stuck 4/5ths of the way into loading. This means I can't access any data within the calendar, so I can neither add nor modify existing data within the calendar.
I also have a PC here and that can access the calendar fine, using Internet Explorer.
In addition to this problem, for the same amount of time I have also been encountering frequent error messages on frequently-visited sites like Facebook saying that the page "could not be loaded as the server was not responding". Really odd. I have checked with my service provider and have assurances that my bband is 6+Mbps, so it's not that.
I have 3 macs all running the same OSX and all encountering this same problem.
Any ideas? I have emptied the cache, deleted the cookies (they are still enabled). Does anyone know if Safari 3.1 is now out of date and no longer workable with this app? If so, Google are fibbing on their help page!
Does anyone know of one that actually works? I've tried a couple and after pasting in the XML location of my calendar, they don't do anything.

Would I have to delete my original calendar called "Home" and just make the Google Calendar (in iCal) my main calendar? Does it do a good job of syncing both ways? Also, if I do this, does it also sync through MobileMe?
I've followed the tutorials online to sync my Google Calendar with my iCal.The problem however, is that, after doing so, only the calendars that are in Google Calendar are synced.What I mean is that lets say I create a calendar called Birthday in iCal. This would not appear in my Google Calendar! To fix this, I actually have to create the calendar in Google, then sync it!

I've been trying to import some iCal calendars into Google recently, and I keep getting notices that "Calendar is not available. Please try again in a few minutes." The problem is that I've been trying to do this for the past three nights off and on for a few hours while working on other things.
I've done everything right from the iCal end (File-->Export), so I can't figure out what the problem might be.If anyone could try the same thing or let me know what the issue might be, I would really appreciate it.
Anyone try it yet? It's integrated now, but I'm not sure if it's just simplifying setup or actually syncing with a new mechanism. Hopefully the latter, the way they suggested setting it up previously didn't work very well.

I know there is a $60 service that does this, but there must be a free way! I've had no luck searching Google for answers... Why I want to sync with GC is because I want my family to be able to see my calendars, but I don't like using GC, I much rather enjoy using iCal. From what I have read else where, it is possible for them to publish their events publicly, so that they are searchable and anyone can add them to their own Google calendar.
Would it then be possible for me to view their public Google calendar in iCal? If not, could I achieve the same out come by setting up my own intermediate Google Calendar, which took the clubs feed, and then use iCal to view that? I don't wish to share information back, just add their info to my own calendar automatically. So that if an event is added/deleted or changed, my calendar is automatically updated when I view it.
am having trouble trying to get my iCal to sync with my Google calendar. I want it so when i make changes to either ical or google calendar it automatically updates the other one. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

I've also tried with Firefox but the problem is still not solved.Actually, Safari (or Firefox) keeps charging the page but is unable to get it. I always see a blank page. It only happens with these two websites. Other sites are working perfectly.I've tried so many things like installing the flash, erasing cookies or cache, installing updates but nothing helped. When I enter an event in calendar, I name it and put the time right after the name. It then enters the time in the detail box that can be opened up regarding the event. What I want to do, however, is show the time in the calendar, right after the name, without opening up the detail box. If I open up the detail box and edit the name by adding the time, it will stay there. Is there a way for me to avoid this extra step and have the time show up right after the event name when I create the event?
