Messages work great between my iPhone 4 and my MacBook on OS X, except when I send a picture message from my laptop. These don't sync to my iPhone conversations.

On my Mac, ALL of my emails have been marked as "read." However, while my AOL account syncs fine, my Gmail account's messages must be "read" individually on both ends.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to have all of my music and pictures available to me on my 64 GB iPad but I can no longer keep these growing libraries of music and pictures on the hard drive of my MacBook Air because I've run out of space. External HardDrives are an option, but will it allow me to sync and keep the current data on my iPad along with future music and pictures? Are there any other alternatives that are much more ideal for this situation?

I recently got a new MacBook Air and was wondering if it is possible to get all of my old messages sent via iMessage to sync to the Messages app (I have been using an iPhone for years). All of the new messages I have sent show up both on my phone and on the Messages app, but none of the old messages or conversation threads with people I haven't messaged since getting my new computer show up.
I frequently need to reference old information in messages so not being able to view old messages (for example it would be good if on the Message app on my MacBook I was able to see the messages I sent to someone a week ago, back before I got my MacBook. But currently I can only see messages sent after ). Is there a way to get these old messages to sync to the Message app. It seems like this should happen automatically (as it does between my phone and iPad) but no such luck.
I have tried logging off and back on, I have double and triple checked that my AppleID and phone number are the same between the app and my phone, and once again, all new messages come through just fine. All i need to know is if it's possible to get all the old messages I've sent, which are clearly saved somewhere (since they sync between iPhone and iPad) to show up on my MacBook.

I have mail set up on my iPhone. Everything works perfectly...mail, calander, the lot! When I input the exact same settings into my macbook pro I keep getting error messages saying it cant be synced etc. Is there a way to sync the settings directly from the phone?

I used Macthe Ripper to rip my sons chuggington dvd to my macbook pro, then i used handbrake to convert it, i managed to copy the converted file to my itunes library, but when i symc my iphone 3gs, it says it won't copy the file because it can't be played on my iphone.Several forums mention using the iphone/ipod touch preset when converting in Hnadbrake, now i may be a numpty, but i cant find this preset anywhere?! The closest thing i can see is an apple button/setting.when i selected apple and told it to play again, it said it would overwrite the prev converted verison. It took hours to convert the first time, if I do this, will it really work? Or will I waste another 3 hours?!

Just downloaded it right now and it's excellent! However, I notice a possible flaw in which whenever I receive a message from someone, it will notify me on both my Mac AND my iPhone! As you might imagine, it's pretty annoying given iMessages are flying through on my Mac. I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop iPhone notifications when messaging on Mac. I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I cannot get my IPhone 4S to sync with itunes without deleting more than half of my data. I have authorized the computer already and I went through and checked all the boxes for the information I wanted to sync - but the info will not transfer and about half of my Apps were removed from my phone (without being added to itunes on the computer) - I had to go back and reinstall the ones I lost to my phone.

I have a iPhone 3GS (iOS 5.1) which I bought at the same time as a MacBook Pro. Last week I upgraded the operating system on the laptop to OS 10.9.4 (Maverick). I recently had a computer crash and lost everything in my hard drive. The weirdest thing is that when I tried to back up with time machine, it erased my external hard drive instead...so now I have no back up.
