i had my ipod on logitech docking system and it was charging but now it is stuck on charge,,,even tried hooking it up in car & on mac but it didnt change any solutions
View 1 RepliesMost of the time I charge when I get to 99%, it stays that way even if I leave it charging at 99% for a good amount of time. Anyone have this problem? Should I just take out my charger at 99% or what do you think I should do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm very frustrated with my iPod Nano right now. It hasn't been charging or syncing to my MacBook or any other USB 1.0/2.30 computer in this house. The cable works fine, and I've tried it with other cables, too, so it's the iPod's fault, needless to say. When I plug it in, it only tuns the backlight on the screen. It doesn't sync or charge or charges extremely slow without any indication. When plugged into a wall charger, it charges just fine for some odd reason. I've reseted the iPod a million times and gone through the diagnostics menu a million times. I can't figure this out!

View 7 Replies View RelatedThen I can reboot work for half an hour until battery is like 50% then it shuts off again... then I can reboot again and work for some more time. I've checked with coconut battery and when the computer stops at 70% I still have like 1700 mAh...I've reset PRAM, power management, etc...
Of course my battery is old, but it should work until 00%... not stop at 70%. Before I spend like 100$ (that is what a macbook pro battery costs here in Mexico) I'm willing to try anything...
My girlfriend's 06 or 07 white macbook is starting to stop charging pretty often. Sometimes toying with the plug or turning it around fixes it, but then it will stop again. She tried it with my roommates plug which seemed to work fine.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI own a 5th Gen ipod (clickwheel) that i recently reset, but now it will not charge or sync with my itunes. when i connect it to my computer it shuts off saying, "no battery power remain connect ipod to power." then it goes to a screen that says "wait very low battery." i leave it still plugged into my mac and in a couple minutes the apple logo appears and then "do not disconnect." it appears to be connecting to my itunes and begins to sync, but then it shuts off due to "no battery power," repeating the entire cycle it did before.
How can i fix my ipod? i do not own a separate power charger for the ipod and unfortunately the nearest apple store is four hours away.I also don't understand why it won't charge while connected.
I have had an intermittent problem. Every so often (once a month), my iPhone will not connect to my computer, it does not charge, nor does it show up in iTunes. I checked out 3 different cables, and none work (cable problem eliminated), I tried 3 different iPods, none charged or showed up (iPhone and iPod problem eliminated). I tried both the front and the rear USB ports and nothing ever happens. As far as I recall, this problem just cures itself after a few days. Any idea what I need to have repaired to stop this maddening problem?

So I had my MacBook Pro charging, and it said it was on 59%. For some reason, it had been stuck at 59% for a while. I highlighted the power readout in the menu bar, and it said 20:00 until full. I unplugged the charging cable and plugged it back in, then it read 89% full and charging.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Late 2008 Unibody MacBook. I am thrilled! Yet I seem to be having the same charging issue MANY other people have had and have still not found a solution. Basically, as with everyone else, when I connected the Magsafe connector, it stays on finishing charge as if stuck there. I have left it for 2 full days and nights now with no luck. I have calibrated the battery and it is still doing it. The battery only shows 60 cycles and it's health it at 80%. I've even reset the SMC with no avail.

I calibrated my battery for the first time since Dec. When I plugged it in this morning, it took 3 hours to charge all the way, and now it's stuck on 99% full, 0:00 till completely charged, and I'm getting an error when I click on the battery in the menu bar that says "Service Battery". When I click on the error, it tells me that it may not be functioning properly and to take it to an authorized apple service retailer. Before I waste 2 hours by going to the Apple store and back, has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to fix it without having it looked at?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSomeone tripped over the wire of the MagSafe charger, and it came away from the macbook, but split the L-Shaped part in half, and left the magnetic end stuck inside the charging port, and the other part exposing the gold pins. Is there any way I can remove the magnetic part myself? Or should Apple be able to do it for me?

It's not a problem with the battery—when I put my battery in my friend's MacBook, it worked just fine. His battery, however, wouldn't charge either when it was in my computer. I have tried resetting the SMC several times, following the instructions exactly. I've reset the PRAM, run disk repair, and fixed disk permissions. I don't have the money to take it to a repairman—even if I did, I need my computer every day for work.

My Macbook pro is not charging. If I move the cord (specially at the Macbook charging port) it charges. But again if the cord is slightly disturbed then it doesn't charge. The problem got worse as my Mac randomly shuts down (especially when I remove the mag at the Macbook charging port). I dono what to do. Just upgraded to the iPhone OS 3.0 on my 1st gen iPod Touch and when I turn the volume up whilst it's in the iPod Hi-Fi, the volume dips when I've finished turning it up... When I push the volume up again the volume slider on the iPod touch then moves down to where it dipped.it's quite hard to explain! Basically, when I turn the volume up to 50%, the sound dips to 25%.... the slider still shows 50% until I press the volume up button and it would move the slider to 25%. (If I wanted to play my music at 50% I would have to turn it up to 75% and wait for it to dip to 50%!)I have reset the iPod touch and restored it but the problem still exists. OS 1.0 and 2.0 didn't have this problem. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a solution?

Since both of us were coming from work we had are valuables in the trunk. (we both placed are stuff in the trunk prior to arriving at the location). Well when we arrived back to the car we noticed the back passenger side window was smashed in and the trunk was empty. We weren't the only ones who were robbed in that lot, there was at least one other car that was broken into according to the hotel staff. The police seem to think it was a drug addicts looking for items to sell for drugs and that it is not a coincidence that it was during a Raptors game. The lot has no cameras due to construction being done, so for those in Toronto who frequent Leafs or Raptors games do not park there, it's a cheap alternative but not worth the risk.

I have the odd situation of the power indicator on top right of screen showing that the power adapter is plugged in, but the percentage indicator stating that the laptop is "not charging." I have been working on the computer for several hours and the laptop has only charged to about 27 percent according to the battery health application that is runningI have. It says the battery has gone through 281 cycles and is 2.4 years old. It suggests the battery should still charge to 92 percent of its potential. The battery is warm as is the power adapter cube, so something is happening. The little light on the end of the power cord is green but only two of the little green dots light up on the left edge of the computer.
