Is there any way to automatically change all the quotation marks in the document to the smart quotes? Or am I going to have to go through and manually change all of them? I've tried adjusting the proofreading settings to use smart quotes then proofing the document, but it's not correcting the quotation marks.

I'm trying to create a Smart Folder (OSX Mavericks) that selects files contained in a specific folder.
If I add a filter as "Document container" with any operator (starts with, contains, is, etc.) the search results is 0 files.

I'm looking for a program that will allow me to organize and tag a bank of phrases and quotes. Currently I am using Google notebook to do this It allows me to create a header for each section such as, "Pleasantries" and "Generic Phrases and I can tag each individual entry as I like. However, my list seems to have gotten too long for Google notebooks to accommodate it.

I have scanned a bunch of recipes to my Macbook Pro and they all went to the Preview. The only problem is I can't copy or paste the recipes because, I guess, they are not in document form. Hello everyone. No I AM NOT looking to mod the apple logo in my menu bar. My question is this: Why does my apple logo change color from time to time? I have seen it Red/Orange, blue, white/grey, and traditional black. Why is it doing this? I have never seen it before. No I haven't changed backgrounds/themes. It isn't all the time, infact I am not sure if it is related to any specific user intervention. I am just curious as to why it may be doing this. I've googled and only founds ways to hack it. NO I am not on hallucinogens. I thought it was related to the Apple Software update, indicating I had new updates, but this was disproven today when it was Red and I checked for updates.

My DNS servers changes automatically away from the routers setup and into a server in the affected ranges by DNSChanger virus. I have tried the following:Virus scan by ClamXav - no virusesFlush the DNS Cache as per suggestion in above threadHave run the DNSChanger Removal Tool - no infection indicatedRenew DHCP Lease - changes back to router address, but then changes back to infected range within a minute AUTOMATICALLY I have checked addresses on all routers / airports in my network and they seem stable with addresses outside the infected ranges.
The only thing, that seems to work is to load the open DNS servers as per the above thread, but I am concerned that using them is using a "crowded space" and would prefer the automatic allocation to be working without the computer defaulting back to the infected range. I logged into my macbook pro the other day and I noticed that my picture was blank (by blank I mean that silhouette icon that you have with new accounts). So i opened my addressbook and reset my picture. A few minutes later, I noticed that my profile picture was reset to blank again so I changed it again and waited. Right before my eyes, the picture changed back to the silhouette again.

how to embed an image with a link, or embed a Microsoft Word document with a hyperlink built within the document -- not as an attachment into my email -- but where it shows as the email content when opened! Does ANYONE know the secret? Can it be done, or not? My PC clients do it all the time easily. Then I want to be able to send the embedded image/document (not as an attachment, but visable within the email when opened) to many email contacts at once, BUT the individuals receiving them DO NOT SEE the other email contacts.

I can't play my songs/music files anymore in Itunes, they show an exclamation mark next to. I have my iTunes folders and files in an external hdd since i have no space in my internal hdd. I tried to follow an article where it says "restoring my music or download files, but it won't help since it also requires you to move back the files onto your mac and i don't have any space available.
