I have an iPod Photo 60GB that's about 5 years old. It's worked fine with my MBP (see sig below) until today. When I plug it in, it appears on my desktop, iTunes launches, but it's not visible in iTunes. I've read a number of articles and followed the steps here: [URL]. But so far it still does not appear in iTunes - it just continues to appear on the desktop and iTunes continues to launch and that's it. I can, however, see all my data on it via Senuti, but that's the only thing so far that recognizes it. It plays fine and I have no problems accessing the data currently on it, I just can't add any more tunes or delete anything that is already on it.
I have an iPod Touch and it hasn't ever given me problems with syncing music until recently. Everytime I try to sync music onto it on itunes with my Mac computer (which is how I always do t) it won't let me. A message pops up that says "An unknown error has occured (13019)." Does anyone know what 13019 means? Is it a code for the type of error it is?
The last few days I've been experiencing a problem with my MBPr screen. I can "see" every pixel/pixel outline on the screen. It looks like I'm running a really low resolution but zoomed in. My screen has always been very clear and smooth, with no pixels visible. Is there something wrong with my screen/GPU? I can't be more specific, but I don't know how to explain it. It pretty much looks like the screen was put together by small building blocks. It is especially visible on white background. The pixels appear to have a black "outline".Â
I have an old macbook that has all my songs on, as well as my iPod. I have recently got an iMa which currently has no music on, how would I transfer the music from the iPod to the new iMac, or alternatively from the old Macbook to the iMac?
IÂ have just bought a MacBook air and am trying to copy the music files from my old windows pc onto the new pc. I have used drag+drop and by using the add to library instruction from the file drop down. I can see the folders and files in finder but they do not appear in inlayer under the music folder. This folder is empty but I have transferred purchased music from an ipod which is visible and playable. To confuse things further, all my applications have been moved over?
All my track file names and other details are visible in Itunes but none will play. single click on a track and an exclamation mark embeds at the front of the track name bar double click or click play and the error message I get says, "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? A search doesn't find it.Â
This applys to every track on itunes but music files in the music folder in Finder still play.

I'm using a 2008 iMac with OS 10.6.8, and iTunes 11.4. The U2 album "Songs Of Innocence" is supposedly to be found in the Purchased page on iTunes, but it's definitely not there. Is this something to do with the version of OS X that I'm running? How can I download the free album if I can't actually see it?
I have the new 1080p Apple TV and have converted videos using Hand Brake (with the old Apple TV preset). My problem is that when I drag these videos into my iTunes library on my Mac, they don't show up in the Movies or TV Shows sections, but then when I go to Computers -> Movies -> Unknown Genre on the Apple TV, the videos show up there. If I go back to iTunes on my Mac and go to Movies, that movie isn't showing up even if I turn on the Column Browser and look at the All section. Is it possible that I'm making videos that are compatible with the Apple TV but not iTunes? I don't get any error messages or any indication that the file got added to the library. The video in question is an M4V, with "H.264, AAC, AC3" listed under codecs in Finder's Get Info, 1280x720, 2,083 total bit rate. I'm on Lion and have everything up to date.
To complicate matters, a few months ago I moved my entire iTunes library to an external hard drive, and that is not backed up by Time Machine. But, the folder was there after I moved all the files. It just recently seemed to disappear. Is there a way to recover the playlists from the files on my hard drive right now, or do I need to recover an older version from Time Machine Backup? How can I get all the playlists to return?
Upgraded to ITunes 11.2.2, the latest, using 10.6.8 OS on an Imac and first I noticed no images in my Wishlist. Just a blank screen, with the ability to sort by name ,etc tab.  Now when I do a search for an artist or an album on the store, I get a blank screen also for results, i see the text for showing the options of Aps, Music, Movies, but no images of search results.
This upgrade sent out 5th/6th February 2010 has caused my family's iPods and my AppleTV to disconnect from the iTunes library and demand a return to factory settings for all units. Still have not got any of them to sync with the library or reload the back-up settings in the case of the iPods
I am running a MacBook Pro 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB memory
I have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.
Itunes fails to sync with my Ipod - a message appears stating that the Ipod has insufficient memory, when in fact there is 5.7 Gb available - I'm running OSX10.5 Leopard having recently upgraded from Tiger

My parents have an iMac and a 4g iPod. The iPod hasn't been used for a while, but still plays music and podcasts beautifully. The problem is, the iTunes Library isn't on the iMac anymore. When I try to sync, I can see the tunes in the iPod, but when I disconnect the cable, the songs don't appear in the iTunes library.
How do I get my parents' iPod to sync and update items through iTunes?
They use 10.5.8 on an iPod 4, using iTunes 10.6.1.

Can anyone tell me if its possible to transfer music from my ipod to new itunes library on new computer. My old laptop died and I hadnt backed up my itunes library. I still have all music I want on my ipod and have recovered my purchased content but cant sync ipod or will lose all the content. A lot of my old library had been transferred from cds and I dont want to go through all that process again.
I opened itunes today and all my music was gone for no reason. The files were still there, so I imported the itunes music folder. That would have worked, but most of my music is in .wav, so all the albums and artists got lost leaving a big jumble of songs. Everything is still intact on the ipod. Is it possible to restore the itunes library from the ipod or am I stuck re-ripping all my CDs?
I'm trying to transfer some songs from my friend's band onto my friend's iPod. However iTunes just opens up a window saying that I can either "Erase and Sync" or "Transfer Purchases From Another iPod". Is there a way to just open iTunes up and transfer my music to the other iPod?
Here's the scenario: I Let a friend borrow this iPod from me for about a year. She used Windows and her own music, and I'm pretty sure used "Manually Manage Music" to get the songs on it.
The iPod appears on my desktop, but only has one folder in it, which has one song in it...none of the other music can be found. It says "600 MB" is available, but it's a 4 gig iPod.
I want to try to restore it, but the iPod Mini won't appear in iTunes. I don't care about losing the music on the iPod, because it isn't my music. Do newer versions of iTunes recognize iPod Minis?
My brother reformatted my ipod in a windows computer and now it itunes won't recognize it on my macbook. In the finder window, the icon shows i inserted an external drive.
Trying to restore my 4gen ipod nano without i-tunes as the ipod shows up on the Mac but not in i-tunes. I-tunes opens up when ipod is plugged in. Tried all the usual fix-its... reset via settings on ipod, uninstalled and re-installed itunes, made sure Mac OS X software was up to date... is there any way i can restore it?
When I plug in my Ipod touch, Itunes does not recognize it as a device. I can get the Ipod to charge and be recognized as a camera for iphoto, but nothing from itunes. My apps, that I previously had on itunes and my ipod are also missing. I've already tried all the trouble shooting tips?
