OS X :: Playing Halo And Video On An IMac G3?
Apr 27, 2010Ok... so probably asking for a miracle, but would there be any way to play halo for mac on my iMac G3?
Specs:
500Mhz G3 750
640 MB ram
16MB Vram
20GB HDD.
Mac OS 10.4.11
I know the game requires 32MB Vram, but i'm hoping theres a way around this.
Also, i had panther on before, and i could play videos off the HDD fine, but since i upgraded to tiger, it plays lousy. and yes i've tried VLC. should i downgrade back to panther if i want to watch videos?

"Mac formatted images will not be accepted."
If im using a mac with photoshop cd3 to burn my images how can I avoid this? Very basic question i know... but i want to make sure I dont goof this up because I have never had this request before.
OS X :: Reset Password - Neither Current Nor Old One Accepted
Oct 15, 2009Gave my old G4 iBook, running Tiger, to a friend. Situation is:
1) She brings the iBook over, saying she can't install a new driver because it's stopped recognizing the password.
2) I confirmed this, and using the install disk, I successfully re-set the password for that machine's one and only account.
3) Now she says that the machine asks for her keychain password "every time I try to do anything, in any application" - and she says that neither the current password, nor the old one is accepted.
I've read similar threads, and I know I have to re-set one or more keychains. Which one(s)? How can I do this?

Jan 26, 2009Technically this isn't my problem but my cousin's problem. He has a Macbook Pro and recently had to reinstall Mac OS X, from what I understand he used time machine to restore his files, settings, account, etc. And apparently now on login his password to his account is not accepted. He stated that he did not change the password from what it was before the reinstall of his OS.

Mar 10, 2012Well, I'm trying to buy a MacBook Pro online, the $100 software and the 3 year guarantee and it says that my credit card information isn't accepted. I called the credit card company 5 times and they said everything is fine. I retyped all the necessary information 3 times. Still the same result: credit card is not accepted. However, the $100 software is purchased but not the MacBook Pro nor the 3 year guarantee. This is extremely weird as to why one is purchased but not the others.

Jun 14, 2007Did anyone else notice the app Jobs used when he demoed Core Animation? I'm going to assume it was a custom app for internal use only but I was suitably impressed with it. If Apple doesn't release it in some form can someone else write it or something pretty similar? That thing was awesome.

Sep 6, 2009We have had a Mac Mini for a long time and are very happy with it. However, we have had a recurring problem with playing DVDs or CDs. Sometimes ago it started rejecting any disc. However repeated insertions of some particular discs would occasionally be accepted. We finally added an external DVD to the set up but would like to sort out the problem if we can.
Today I tried to upload one of our music CDs into ITunes and tried the internal player. It recognised the disc as a music disc but would only upload it a 1x where the extenl will copy at up to 6-7 times. We have just this week upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard - however, the problem existed with Tiger for the last 6 months or so.

Nov 30, 2014My son is using my old macbook pro 13-inch and he went to login using the correct security info but keeps getting denied. and clicking the question mark only leads to the computer recommending the very same password that he is using with no other options to request a change password option. the computer may still be running mountain lion, though possibly mavericks. definitely not yosemite.

Dec 31, 2005I recently installed, and shortly after, removed a demo for Internet Cleanup. Having done so, however, a popup message appears when I fire up my eMac: "Network SpyAlert Protection Expired! The installed demonstration version of Internet Cleanup has expired. To purchase the demo, run the Internet Cleanup application for details".
It's a minor nuisance, but annoying nonetheless. I've searched for possible suspected plists and logs, but can't seem to find whatever needs to be deleted to rid my Mac of this popup. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove this fragment of the program?

In a behind the scenes video covering the making of the motion cover that was sent to planet5D, Alexx Henry and partner Andrew Gant describe how they were able to "put motion into print" in ways never seen before.
The living art interactive motion spread was shot with Red Digital's latest RED ONE camera and new Mysterium-X sensor, allowing them to capture the energy of a still-life action shoot with the motion of a blockbuster film. In addition to action spreads, this enables them to "present a story" to readers before the final frame of their motion covers.
The production team shot all of their living models on a green screen at a high frame rate and slowed them down, so when the action stops, the textual article can appear. After constructing their own 3D environment, they composited the photography and did all the camera moves.The end result is a motion spread that sends readers on a journey, introducing them to each article while giving them time to read or the freedom to move on at their own pace.
"As photographers, we can build off the foundations that work really well in print, because in the end, we aren't making moving pictures," Henry says. "That's what movies do. We're creating pictures that move.

Upon install and trying to launch iWork or iLife I'm getting prompted for my serial number, and of course the discs do not require a number.Do i have to call Apple or is this a common, easy fix?

Oct 26, 2010i've been using Logic Express 9 for a few months now and started today messing about with the included demo project "The Numbers Game".Unfortunately, I accidentally hit save on a change and now have fundamentally affected the demo.
If I do a re-install of Logic Express 9 will this wipe out or affect my other projects in any way? I really don't want to lose any of the work I've done so far, but would really like to have back the original demo project as a learning tool.
