Wondering why i cant toggle app windows after i reinstalled osx10.5 with cmd-<?
i use this command all the time and know it wont work, any one smart who knows the answer to this issue?
If I have two windows of Safari open at the same time, how do I toggle between the two?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI have checked multiple support sites, and all indicate the same shortcut. I even tried "adding" the shortcut in the "Application Shortcuts" screen in Preferences.

I have Vista (yeah, yeah, it sucks. Really. Just testing the Ati card) on my brand new iMac 24 and the audio quality is VERY low. Worst than the macbook speakers. The strange thing is that in MacOSX the quality is good and even in Vista with earphones. I reinstalled the Realtek HD drivers but it didn't change anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed Windows 98 SE in the VMWare Fusion Beta (latest update), and it seems to work very well, except the fact, that whenever I ask it to install the tools, no setup windows pops up, as it says there will in the help file. I also tried Google, but noone else seems to have the same problem.
It really is a big problem, as I can't have a resolution above 640x480 and more than 16 colors, which prevents me from running my retro games like RCT and Theme Hospital.
I've successfully installed XP on a partition thanks to advise from MikeSantos but windows does not recognize the numeric keypad on my apple keyboard nor will it recognize a pc keyboard that i plug into the Usb port.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so were you able to reconcile the problem?
Simple question...I would like to use the same sort of layout there is on a mac for certain keys...like accents etc when using windows. You know how you can click alt-e to make an accent mark or control-shift-2 for the ? sign etc. I'm too used to it this way to use the old PC US layout. Is there a way to do this on the windows side?

My HP Scanjet 3970 has never been to happy with my Mac running snow leopard. But it has always worked in the end. But now maybe because its OSX 10.6.4 it just wont recognize the scanner is there.
Anyone know of a way around this? I can't even remember what I did last time, I know it tok days but I got there in the end! I don't use the scanner much, and this one is perfectly good, so I really don't want to have to get another one.
I am setting up a studio of 40 new Macs and can't find anything relating to setting up the Leopard firewall. All users will have Standard (mobile) accounts on Active Directory domains, and will be using the Adobe CS4/VMFusion with XP/Office 2007. If I have the firewall on 'Set access for specific services and applications' will it block the applications and prompt for an admin password?

I've gone into the Print & Fax Pref's to add a printer, but there are no printers listed?
I've also looked on the Epson printer drivers to download and there doesn't seem to be any to support any OS later than 9?

I can no longer run iPhoto by clicking on the app icon, open images in it, or access the photos in it in any other way. Since upgrading OS my iMovie has also been upgraded to v11. I don't knoiw if this is a factor.

I would like a simple way to enable a keyboard shortcut to toggle bluetooth on and off; one feature I enjoy having turned on is the option under Universal Access to disable the trackpad if an external mouse is connected. This is great when I'm at my desk, but if I move my MacBook Pro to another room it doesn't necessarily disconnect the bluetooth mouse and thus I have to go back to my desk to shut the mouse off in order to get my trackpad back again.
So a quick simple tool, like maybe fn+B or cmd+B or whatever, would be awesome.
I tried recording an Automator macro but it can't discern whether bluetooth is on already or not, plus there was a huge lag time of five seconds each time I triggered it (on top of it stealing window focus).
I need to be able to toggle my primary display between two monitors connected to my Mac Mini. I know that this is normally done by the following:Display Preference Pane -> Arrangement -> Drag the menu bar to the monitor your want as primary I'm looking for a hotkey or keyboard shortcut to toggle this more quickly. My graphics apps have to bind to the primary, but I also need to send full-screen output to the primary display, thus blocking the menu bar and dock.

I installed 300 fonts on my MBP and now all my web fonts are so messed up I can barely make out what some websites say. Is there a way to fix this or just dump the fonts and re-install them?

Finally got around to reinstall Ubuntu 9.10 x64 natively on my MBP, since I accidentally deleted the partition that was already on there. Anyway, got it all perfectly working, then I played around with the 3D cube. I was freaking blown away how neat it was! Does anyone know of something like it for Mac OS X? I searched, but couldn't find anything.
