Apr 19, 2012I have a little problem in that i wished to delete things from my time machine to make room (thats before i realised it did it anyway when it was full)the only way i found to do it was to empty to trash that was the only option that was given to me now it is in the trash it will not delete, i have read articles on here but they do not seem to work so wondered if anyone has managed to do this as i have over 23000 files in the trash that will not delete my local apple shop suggested deleting the time machine but the only option i get is to send to trash which i am reluctant to do

Jun 19, 2012When I bought my Macbook Pro on Thursday I also purchased Pages whilst in the Apple store in town. The assistant helped me start the installation whilst I was there and he told me that it would continue when I got home, even if i shut the laptop down there. So this is what I did, however, since I've been home, every time I click Install on Pages in the App Store a message comes up saying : "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later." Another thing I should mention is that I purchased Pages on a different Apple ID account when I was in the store, but I was told I only had to log in to that account from my Macbook Pro and I could easily download Pages.

OS X :: No Mail Or Trash Sounds Since 10.6 Install?
Sep 3, 2009Since upgrading my MBP to Snow Leopard over this weekend, I have lost some of my system sounds. Specifically, I don't have any sounds for sent mail or when you empty the trash.
I've scoured over several forums where this problem is highlighted, but none of their fixes have worked for me. For instance: I've checked my 'Sound' preference pane to make sure sound effects are on; I've restarted my machine; I've checked the hidden preferences using Tinker Tool; and, repaired permissions through Disk Utility.
Has anyone got any solutions to this problem? Is anyone else experienceing the same issue?

Mar 8, 2012I purchase Numbers because I have been unable to save my work. I install it and then when it goes to sleep or I turn off my computer it doesn't save my install and I have to reinstall the purchase all over again. Why? How can I fix this cause everyday I can't save my work....

Mar 14, 2012I can not update or install new apps. Some work though, some do not. For example I can update GarageBand and UberStrikeHD(2 random apps that I have an update available for) and I can not update LevelHelper and Trillian(also just 2 random apps I have an update available for).As for new apps ... Well, all that I tried they didn't download(ReadLater, CodeCollectorPro and RamOptimizer Lite, Apple Configurator are 4 of the apps I tried downloading). I get to enter my password, the app "goes" into the Launchpad, but the bar that should show the progress of the download gets filled instantly and the Appstore shows "Installed" instantly, while the Launchpad icon also shows the bar full instantly, but the app is obviously still greyed out since it didn't really download anything. Then after a few seconds I get an error:"The application could not be downloaded. The requested URL was not found on this server". Cancel or Retry, retrying doesn't work either.
I am using a broadband internet connection, but I tried it with several USB devices and I got the same result (also tried sharing the broadband connection from a macmini and connect to it through internet sharing, still didnt work)... And I do not have 10.7.3 installed, since it is a 2GB update and my broadband data plan is capped at 4GB, but I doubt it will fix anything, since in the past I got this error before, but I have no idea how it got fixed. I also tried every Apple provided support article.

Mar 24, 2012Garageband is not installing on my os x lion 10.7.3 it downloaded to mac mini just fine now it wont install everytime I click on the Garageband icon in launchpad it trys to download other parts of the program. I let it download 4 different times all the same size download and it is always the same. The program wont run.

Mar 14, 2012I have just purchased a game from the app store. The download was interupted. When i restarted the laptop I went to the purchases section of the app store to resume the download. The only option there now though is to install. If i click it the button dims for a few seconds then is bold again. Not setup sequence starts. Is there a way of restarting the download?

Jun 24, 2012So my iPod is all kinds of glitching. None of the apps are working. I press them and they open for a second and then close themselves out. Them I tried installing a new app, a free one, bit it's glitching. I go to the app store, search for Any game but when I press free, it does this weird thing where the free button moves and then all I can see I half the install button. I tried pressing the half-install button but it does nothing. I tried restarting the iPod nut it's the same thing once I turn it back on.

Mar 18, 2012I purchased Call of Duty Modern Warfare, a large 7gig download, the download was interrupted and I had to re-boot. In the App Store under Purchases it lists the purchase but not installed. When I click install, box changes momentarily but then nothing happens. There is no option to resume, or re-download. Perhaps the download was complete before the interruption but there is no indication anywhere under launch or in Finder. What are my options? Is this common? I am already regretting buying such a large program.

Jun 28, 2012I bought Sketch 2 from the App Store two days ago. After working less than an hour it froze and I had to restart my Mac. After that every attempt to start Sketch gives an immediate crash. I submitted the error report to Bohemian Coding (the author) but no reaction so far.I downloaded the trial version from their site: it seems to work but it lasts only 14 days. I asked Bohemian Coding for a license key but I got no reaction.
I tried to reinstall following the method described elsewhere in the support forum. Unfortunately, that leaves me with 1) Sketch deleted, 2) App Store still mentions it as "installed". No way to download it a second time. It disappeared from my "purchased" list in App Store.
