App Store :: How To Report An Invalid Support Address For A Crashing App Purchase

Jun 22, 2012

I recently bought Scribblenauts Remix, which for some reason is not working on my iPad 2.

I tried to go to the support page of the developer to either get some help, or to get my money refunded... but the link doesn't lead to the proper place and I'm unable to figure out:

A) How to get support from the developer anyway;

B) How to report this to Apple, so I can get my money refunded somehow.

MacBook Pro :: Program Crashes - Unable To Submit Report To Apple?

May 4, 2012

For the past year or more, every time that a program crashes while I'm working in it, it gives me a dialog box saying "Would you like to submit report details to Apple?" I click the button to submit the report and every time it returns with an error message saying "Submission failed - Unable to submit report".  Its not a big deal to me, but I always thought it might be helpful to Apple to receive the reports.  Always worked a in the years past, but not any more.

Intel Mac :: Computer Keeps Needing To Restart / Won't Allow To Submit Error Report To Apple

Mar 19, 2012

My IMAC keeps prompting me to restart after the screen turns grey. Essentially, after a few hours of use, the screen turns dark grey, filling in from the top to the bottom slowly. Once the screen has the dark grey hue, directions pop up in the middle of the screen for me to restart the computer. Once I restart it, the computer automatically generates an error box to report to apple. However, when I click the box to submit to apple, even if when the computer is connected and running well, it will not allow me to report it.

OS X :: Apple's Mac 10.6 Code Named "Snow Leopard" - Report

Jun 4, 2008

Apple is indeed well into the development of Mac OS X 10.6, which the company has internally code-named "Snow Leopard," according to ArsTechnica. Citing a person familiar with the situation, the technology website confirms several details of the next major Mac OS X upgrade first reported on Tuesday, including a scheduled release as soon as Macworld 2009 this coming January, and that it will not introduce any major new features.

Instead, Snow Leopard is said to focus heavily on performance optimization and security, a move that will in all likelihood widen the gap between Mac OS X and Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system in those areas. "Things like the MacBook Air, iPhone, iPod touch, and other mysterious devices that have yet to be announced need better performance for better battery life, and that's definitely something Apple wants to excel at in the years to come," wrote Ars' Jacqui Cheng. Unconfirmed is whether the software will be shown off or discussed at the company's annual developers conference next week. However, AppleInsider in recent weeks has been told to expect discussion of "another big cat" at the event................

MacBook Pro :: Apple Repair Didn't Fix Crashing?

May 30, 2012

I have a w7 dual-booted early 2010 macbook pro, and it has been exhibiting some really strange behavior for a while now. Basically, it crashes randomly. It doesn't give me the bluescreen in either mac or windows when this happens, it simply turns black, locks up, and often makes unpleasant sounds (anything from a clicking like a harddrive to bizzare sounding sound loops if I have been playing music). The weird thing is is that it doesn't seem to have a trigger. It can happen when I'm playing games, when I'm listening to music, or even when I have absolutely nothing running but Microsoft Word. It doesn't seem to have any dependancy on how long I have been using the computer, or even what time of day it is. It started out relatively infrequent--maybe once a month? But now it happens once a day, if not more.

I have still under my applecare agreement, and so I went ahead and sent it in to apple. They only had it for 24 hours before the sent it back with brand new memory... but this (maybe obviously?) didn't the problem at all--it crashed withen an hour of using it. I called apple back, and they said because sometimes it won't crash for many hours, they recommended I send it to an authorized repaire shop. I took it to the shop, and they wouldn't even look at it after I described my problem because, they said, "for problems like these, we never find solutions."

So now I'm stuck with a great laptop that runs BEAUTIFULLY.... except when it crashes. It's even still under applecare, but no one seems willing or capable of fixing it.

Does anyone have an advice? If apple can't find the problem, do I have grounds to ask for them to replace the whole MOBO, or even the whole computer? It's kind of a frustrating situation, because I bought applecare for this exact reason, but it doesn't seem to be doing me any good!

OS X :: Safari Keeps Crashing

Nov 5, 2010

I'm going to jump off a bridge if it keeps crashing on me like this. The worst part about it is that Safari doesn't have a feature that brings your tabs back if your browser crashes. Anywho, I tried reinstalling but I don't think that helped. I also tried clearing everything under preferences but that didn't seem to work. It's the most annoying when I'm watching YouTube videos in full screen and then once the video is over, I get that rainbow ball and next thing you know, Safari crashed. Does anyone know anything else I can do? I don't feel like switching back to Firefox. I love Firefox, but not as much on the Mac. And I think Chrome is just meh, I don't like Google that much since they're involved with almost everything.

MacBook Pro :: How Long Does Take Apple To Send Confirmation Email

Aug 7, 2009

I ordered a macbook pro and an iPod touch yesterday and didn't get a confirmation email so I cancelled.
I contacted the bank today and everything is in order so I ordered again and it's been 2 hours and I didn't get the confirmation email yet. Does it usually take this long? I've never bought on the online apple store before. I got the "thank you for your order" thing and everything so I'm sure they accepted the credit card. I'm not sure why the email is taking forever and it's getting me to be a little edgy.

My apple mail version 7.3 has never had any problems connecting with my gmail account, but recently whenever I try to send an email, it goes straight to the outbox and then a popup saying "Gmail cannot connect to the server" or something like that comes up. It asks me to enter my password, and I do and then it just pops up the same error again. I have tried changing my password and made sure I am entering it correctly but it just does not work. OS X :: New Safari (5.01) Constant Crashing?

Aug 13, 2010

Safari keeps crashing on open (it doesn't even start to open - just goes straight to crash report). It seems to be doing this since I upgraded to 5.01. I have posted the crash report below which is always the same - ie it crashes on thread 3 but I am unable to decipher why.

I repaired the permissions a number of times - and rebooted. This worked once and safari was up an running again. But the next time I came to open it it was broken again. I have even tried a reboot into safe mode which I believe rewrites all permissions rather than just repairing them - didn't work!

OS X :: Safari Crashing When Trying To Print A PDF

Oct 29, 2010

Using Safari 5.0.2 and crashing constantly when trying to print a PDF file out of the browser. I am using the Schubert-it PDF Viewer to view and print. Sometimes it crashes when I merely click on the print icon on the website or after the PDF file opens up in a separate window and click the print button on the separate window. It has also crashed using different printers.

Could someone take a look at this crash report log and see if anything looks weird. This just started happening, so I am not sure what I did.I have it attached as a doc file since it was too long.
