My safari application wont update my computer keeps displaying that all the applications are up to date and then when I try downloading safari 5 from apple.com I am told in the set up box my computer(volume) does not meet the requirements. I have MAC OS X Snow leopard version 10.6.3 on a Mac book pro 13" 2009 mid year 2.26 Ghz intel core 2 duo
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated safari (and now I did OSX, and its still slow) and performance is slow, unpredictable and randomly dies. The network is perfect though and this issue does not happen in transmission.
View 2 Replies View RelatedToday a new auto-update came up and I ran it - it included a tweak to 10.7.3 as well as Safari and a few others. My Safari (5.2) got completely trashed. Will not even open any more - all it does is crash immediately upon launch. I have a Time Machine backup from about 40 minutes earlier I can recover from if needed. Meanwhile I'm lucky I have a MacBook Pro as well, and am able to get online while I am completely restoring Lion from a patchstick.
I'll post the crash report (I copied and saved it) once I get back up.Incidentally, I've been getting a lot of crashes in Mail as well. Always when the computer is asleep. Anyone else having these problems - or have a solution?

I cannot get Safari to update from v3.0.4 to v3.1.2 on OS 10.5.5 and I have no idea why. I get the message that says I need 10.5.2 or newer but I'm already 10.5.5. I downloaded the update from apple and I have no clue.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just updated Safari to 3.2.1 and it has gone crazy. It only loads a little of the page and then stops. What is wrong?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed the Safari update three times already and it is still suggesting the update. Is anyone else having this problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem when trying to update through Software Update. My Mac does not find the 10.5.7 update. And not the new Safari 4. I have tried to manually install these, but then it says its not possible to install on this volume. There is space and the computer is only 1,5 year old.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just received that. Bought my imac in february. I wonder what the update is about. How do I find out?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem for a while, I've taken it to the Genius bar, but still no love.
The problem: Safari pretty much works fine, except for a couple of websites, like Apple's One-to-One page and Netflix.
When I attempt to sign in on 1-to-1, an error message tells me to update Safari 3.0 and install it. The same happens with netflix - instant watch.
My Mac is fully update with Snow Leopard and the latest Safari (v 4.0.5). To make it even more weird, I get the same message when using FireFox.

He had a hard time accessing certain websites, which now that I'm caught up on info about eMacs might due to them no longer being supported by the latest flash and java. The first thing I noticed when he brough it to me is that safari was no longer installed, he tried to update it, ended up trashing it.I tried running the software update to see if it would reinstall that way, no dice. Ended up on oldapps.com and tried reinstalling safari 1.3.2, which I think is that latest version this version of OS X will support. No dice here either, so I ended up going back all the way to safari 1.2(v125), which is the only install that actually worked, initially tried going back to 1.0. The problem is now I can't update this version any further, running software update never finds any updates available and trying any other versions from old apps doesn't work.

How do I update safari
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am farily new to macs in general and am confused about one thing. In windows, you can always update the browser regardless of your windows version. OS X 10.2.8 is not all that old but I cannot update safari to 2.0.4 like in 10.4.7. Is support for 10.2.8 discontinued? Am I forced to use firefox if I want an up to date browser? BTW, this is on an old Beige G3 so 10.2.8 is the highest OS.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my MacBook Pro (1st generation, Mac Os X 10.4.11, 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, 512 Mo 667 MHz DDR2, bought in Feb 2006). Since the update of safari 4.0, I had a lot of problems with my Mac. First Safari kept closing all the websites I was visiting and after that I couldn't open safari again until I reboot my mac again. This changed with the new update 4.02 (I now have Safari 4.0.3). But the big problem is that I can't open some softwares anymore. Such as Office 2004, some games and the most important ChemDraw Ultra 12. Each time, the icon jumps in the Dock and then disappears. I tried to repair my harddrive but everything was alright. I don't know what to do anymore. I never had a single issue with my computer before. I have to give back a chemical report at the end of the week for my studies and I can't use ChemDraw!
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo we all are on 5.0.2 version on Safari, or should I say most of us. Well we have been on Safari 5.0.2 for some time now and I want to see Apple continuing to improve Safari but they have been slowing down with these updates to Safari. Safari updates are the most exciting updates for me because I browse the web everyday so speed improvements and features are always a plus.
View 3 Replies View Relatedhas anyone else noticed that the new safari update has made the program slower when loading pages? notably, the end of the page takes a second or two to load (whereas before it was much much quicker), and it will beachball for a sec as it finishes?
View 19 Replies View RelatedI'm running 10.4.11, and each time I run the software updater, go through all the stages...download, install, restart etc... I open the software updater again, and the update is there again waiting to be installed!
This update is that recent Safari 4 one. I've repaired permissions and tried again, but had the same result. Any ideas for a perplexed mac user?
Just being optimistic. When will they take this thing out of Beta?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI ran Software Update to install the update to Safari (4.0.5), and after it installed, it went into the portion where it needs to restart the computer. Where it installs after the OS shuts down, the update FAILED, and the computer restarted. After restart, Safari and Mail will NOT open, they go straight to the crash report prompt. Airport is connected, but opening Chrome will not get online. I'm led to believe the update corrupted something, because everything errors out, and I can't get anything done.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't remember my login names. For example, when I goto facebook and start typing my username, nothing comes up. Whats wrong with it ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI did the update through software update, and I saw a lot of people having errors with that, but i did not get the cui error, my only issue is safari stopped loading any webpages.
If I try to enter an address in the bar and hit enter, it just beachballs, and than nothing happens, before it used to just keep trying to load it.
I than downloaded the combo updater, opened the dmg, and installed over it, restarted and same issue
Prior to the combo update I repaired any file permissions as well. How do I get safari to work properly again? I even uninstalled the clicktoflash extension.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did an update on Safari a few days ago, and ever since I'm having trouble getting pages to load. It will load some of the information on the pages but not all of it, the pictures are the main part it won't load, and it just fills them in with a question mark. The current Safari I have is 5.1.7.
