Restoring not only the LastSession.plist, but also all its peers, from Time Machine does not seem to fix the issue. This being Apple, there must be an easy and systematic way to restore Safari to its exact pre-quit (or pre-crash) state?

I've been googling answered to solve this problem for hours, even called Microsoft & Apple for help but nothing. I just restarted my computer. Everything was normal. All bookmarks are there, I actually just added another bookmark. So then when the computer comes back on, I open safari & the bookmarks look empty. The only bookmarks are the ones that come with safari (Apple, Yahoo!, Google Maps, YouTube, Wikipedia, News, & Popular). All history is there from this whole week but NO Bookmarks! So I googled how to restore safari bookmarks. they tell me to look for the 'bookmarks.plist' file in safari folder.
I followed plenty of instructions like "File"> "Import Bookmarks" & tried to search for the file in (Users/yourUserName/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist) in safari but I cannot find that safari library folder folder. I tried (CUsersyournameAppDataRoamingApple Computer Safari) but I cant even find the "appdata" folder. So then apple tells me that you can only search for the bookmarks.plist folder on a mac computer. So that means I wasted the whole evening looking for those folders. Now since apple & microsoft basically tell me im on my own. I am becoming really desperate. I have hundreds of very important bookmarks saved that have a bunch of job listings & apartments that I really really need.
I just love the firefox feature where you can just close firefox with all your tabs still up and they'll still be there when you open firefox again. Is there a way to do this for safari? Like an add-on or something?

I just had to install a new hard drive to my mid 2010 imac. I restored with time machine. I cannot find the original OS disc. Upon restoring it appears there is a problem with the webkit framework as Safari, App store, and Skype all freeze upon clicking on them and after bouncing, they never open. Chrome is working. What do I do?

How long should I be stuck on the screen "calculating space required to restore data"? I've been on this screen for about 20, 30 minutes. The "hash mark wheel" is spinning, but just not seeing anything new. Is this normal? My backed up data is ~100 GB.

I got my mini last Friday from cowboom (a Best Buy affiliate), and since it's a pre-owned, it only came with the power cable and HDMI to DV-I adapeter. For those that ordered these, a majority of the people posted that it did not come with an OS, but the Internet Restore option fixed the trick. So I powered it on and got the flashing folder with the question mark. No OS. I did the Internet recovery and ran it through all the way to the the reinstall Lion screen. When asking what drive to install it on, there were no drives. I closed the installer and ran the disk utility and the only available drive was some basic drive that had a capacity less than 2GB. No other drives. I booted from my Lion that's on USB, but there's no drive to install it on. Any suggestions? I checked the warranty and the warranty cannot be verified. Some buyers said they had warranty from 8 months and up. One said his warranty showed starting from the day he restored his mac. I'm guessing because it was never registered I made an appointment tomorrow to take it to apple but is there something that can help avoid the trip?

Others, will not install, it will be stuck at installing. And Safari may lose response after a while. I initially noticed that if I try to install YouTube5 which I downloaded myself, Safari will immediately lose response.
Tried solutions:
- Reset Safari
- Run OnyX
- Repair disk permissions
- Deleting all the extensions; extensions I installed before will install, others won't
- Deleting Clicktoflash and Glims
I was wondering if it was possible to tell Safari to look in multiple or different keychains for login credentials. I have x509 certificates that I want to put in a different keychain from the default "login" one, but when I surf to a webpage that requires that certificate, Safari doesn't seem to want to use it.

I put off doing the software update on Safari... I just HAD a feeling something would go wrong and I didn't have time to mess with it if it did.
So today I ran and update. And it messed up.
Now Safari will "open"... it looks like it is open and I have access to all the menus. But a Safari window will not open.
I am surprised that I haven't seen others with this problem. I have tried deleting the cache and deleting the preferences file. Neither seem to have made ANY difference.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. And I am feeling like I'm missing a body part. I need my Safari back!

In an attempt to mount an external hard drive onto my iMac, I attempted to put in the original install disk (10.4.7) and re-installed my OS. I was upgraded to Leopard but now I accidentally re-installed Tiger. When re-installing it told me that Leopard would be saved under "Previous System" or something like that. I've looked for this folder or a way to restore my system but nothing has worked. I was not using Time Machine. All of my applications (such as Final Cut) are still there, but "cannot be opened on this OS".
