OS X V10.7 Lion :: Apple Mail Out Of Office Rule Is Sending Auto-replies To All Emails Not Just Newly Received Emails?
Jun 18, 2012Apple mail out of office rule is sending auto replies to all emails not just newly received emails--HELP! I set up the rule according to another apple support thread and instead of only sending the reply to new mail received, it was sent to all messages I believe that were in my INBOX, I only had a few but several people that hadn't sent me emails since I set up the rule, received the OUT OF OFFICE reply.Here is the procedure I followed for the out of office rule-[URL]I just used my email account which is a business account- not an ECU account but these rules according to the apple thread apply for all emails.

Jan 3, 2011While trying to back up emails I seem to have lost them. Following the HELP page in Mail (Mac OS X program) I moved the MAIL folder from LIBRARY to the desktop. I failed to press OPTION while I was doing this, as the HELP page advised. So now, in Mail the identifiers of the messages are there, but the messages aren't and an error message appears saying that the emails have not been downloaded from the server, that I need to be online, etc. I am on line, have done "get mail", all of the obvious things.
I've tried to locate the original MAIL folder with Spotlight.

Apr 28, 2012Had not cleaned up my inbox prior to switching. Now it is impossible. I delete a message, go to trash and delete it there. Next time I open my computer it is back as unread. Never ever had a problem getting rid of emails prior to switching to iCloud. What do I need to do to get a delete to stick?

Recently I found I cannot send emails from my hotmail account. Windows live says to upgrade my browser safari. Downloaded the safari new version. Then I found it is not compatible with my operating system OS X 10.5.5. What shall I do? I don' like the way they change software. There should be some solution. Can I buy new operating system? If it says Hardware is not compatible then money go into waste.

I have never sent these emails, and I dont know the address they were addressed to, I ignored it thinking it would just stop. This morning I can't get my email due to being locked out for security reasons. I was directed to change my password and now alot of emails are showing up with no subject dated 12/31/69. There must be 50 of them, but my inbox only says I have 13 new emails! What the heck is going on? Has my cloud been hacked.

However, I have just downloaded and attempted to install safari 3 but it says I've already got a newer version on the dive... so I uninstalled ALL safari application and emptied the trash and it still says that there is a version on the drive.

Mar 13, 2012I'm running mail 5.2 on 10.7.3 with imap. I'm having problems with emails not showing up. Or they show up when people send them and then dissapear. They are not being combined in the multiple email from the same user, the new feature of mac mail. They are just not showing up. I can go to my server and see them sitting there. The specific emails today were sent 6 days ago.
Also the folder I created for these emails were not showing up either, even though it was created on the server. This is also after hitting syncronize.
Third, emails from the past for some folders nore not showing up at all. I can go into folders I have with emails from a month to a year ago and they are competely blank even tough I know there are emails in those folders.

Apr 24, 2008I started my Mac mail application today (set to connect to my gmail accounts through IMAP), and all my mail that was in my inbox is GONE. I don't know if my gmail accounts were hacked or if their implementation of "Priority Inbox" just trashed all my messages older than 35 days. I've changed my password and disabled Priority Inbox. Feb 15, 2008So I hit customize toolbar to get rid of a button on my Safari toolbar. The window didn't pop up like it was supposed to, so I tried clicking around, and clicked the address bar and it disappeared.
Now even after a restart, I can't get the customize toolbar dialog to come up, therefore I can't get my address bar back.
This is on 10.5.2 by the way.
