I’m not able to take prints out from my MacBook (10.7.3) actually printer is shared on my windows based machine on the same network and I have added it to my MacBook and when giving print command every times it asks for user and password
whenever I try printing a PDF mailing label from the post or another parcel service containing a barcode on my wireless HP AIO printer, I get the printout as expected apart from the the label area which remains blank. could it be an issue in the latest HP drivers???
unable to view user login in OS X Lion 10.7.3 startup. I had made some changes in icloud settings & by mistake must have checked some option related to username & password. Also when i turn my macbook pro on, i can see the grey background with apple logo, however it does not show my image & login password space. thus i'm unable login to my system.
I have had none stop issues since installing lion and I desperately need someone's help. Since the installation my imac constantly loses connection with my bluetooth keyboard and mouse, random horizontal lines appear in Safari, and computer freezes whenever I open more than 3 programs.
I have a MacBook Air and am using Lion. I was on safari and all of the sudden I was unable to type in any field. I can see the toolbar but cannot type in it. It has now affected every application - i.e. in finder, I can see the search bar but cannot type in it. I have already tried force quit and made sure everything is updated.
I used a trick, long since lost I'm afraid, to tell the Finder to display the UNIX path name of the current directory at the top of the Finder window. For example, a finder window with my Documents folder selected(i.e. "in" the Documents folder) normally shows the special Documents folder icon and the name "Documents".What the trick would have it show instead is:
 "/Users/cprice53/Documents"Â
I've started over with a clean install of Lion (jury still out on the wisdom of this)so even if the setting would still work, I don't know how to make it. how to do this in Lion?
In my system preferences under Security/User Group settings my diabsle auto login is ticked - I am unable to untick thia box. The system shows I have the hihgest level access admin level and I should therefore be able to untick this box. How do I do this and will it ensure no-one can access my Mac without a login and rights?
Since updating to 10.7.4, I am unable to put anything in the trash without being prompted for the administrator password. This happens while signed in as administrator. How do I stop this needless step? It really slows down normal workflow.
My MacBook takes unusually long to start up and when I want to log into my account the password I have been using for a long time isn't regognized, so I cannot acces my desk! I can get into the accounts of my children - they do not use a password - but in their accounts Safari runs very slow and different. It looks like there might be mallware active?
I recently replaced my MacBook Pro's (13-inch, Mid 2012) default hard drive with a third party SSD. I'm not sure if this would have any affect on it, but I can't upgrade to OS X 10.7.4. I used Lion Recovery Disk Assistant to install Lion on the drive and to bring it up to 10.7.3, and when it was finished, I checked Software Update and there was no update for 10.7.4. I downloaded the update directly from the Apple website (both the client and the combo updates) and neither of them will allow me to update! I get a message in the Installer that says, "Mac OS Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet thre requirements for this update." Again, I'm not sure if this has to do with the third party SSD I installed or not. Other than the inability to update the OS, the SSD works wonderfully.

I got my new Office Mac, and I was hoping to install it. It said Firefox and Safari needed to close. Firefox was a snap (good job guys!), but Safari is doing HORRIBLE. It is not forcing to quit at all, and I don't want to restart or shut down (I bet it wouldn't work.) Now, according to THIS issue... I can't install my Mac Office 2011, and THAT on the other hand stinks, because I need it for school projects.

Purchased in 7/2011, just now got rosetta apps migrated. after waiting 8 hours for the download, the app gave an error and is no longer in my purchases list. I have a receipt. What do I do now?
I frequently copy 40-50GB files to external drives. Ever since upgrading to OSX Lion, I can only copy one file at a time. Any way to change this? Used to be able to copy the same file to multiple drives at once (using Firewire 800).
I use an iMac and recently upgraded to Lion OS. Everything was working fine, including Mail.
But the Hard Disk developed some hardware defect and I was forced to replace the hard disk with a new one. The service center added the new harddisk with OS 10.6.8 and now when I connect the old hard disk using USB connection (which is running 10.7) I am unable to find the Mail and Mail downloads folder in the library folder...
Is it because my machine is running on 10.6.8 and the hard disk is having 10.7?
I'm using OS X 10.7.3. I'm in System Preferences > Print & Scan. I click the + to add my Canon MX870, which is connected to my wireless network. I select it under "Nearby Printers". It says:Â
"Software for this printer is available from Apple. Would you like to download and install it?"Â
I click "Download and Install". When the progress bar reaches the end, it says:Â
"The software for this printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer's manufacturer for the latest software."Â
So. I download the latest driver from Canon (version 10.51.2.0) and install it. I go back to add the printer, and I get the same message.Â
I then download the latest printer software from Apple (version 2.8, which includes MX870 series drivers version 10.51.2.0) and install them. I go back to add the printer, and I get the same message.Â
So. Instead of selecting it under "Nearby Printers", I choose "Add other printer or scanner", which brings up the "Add Printer" dialog box. My printer shows up as a "Bonjour Multifunction". I select it and "Print Using" defaults to "MX870 series". It says "The selected printer software is available from Apple. Click Add to download it and add this printer."Â
So. I click "Add". It goes through the motions again, eventually bringing me back to this:Â
"The software for this printer is currently unavailable. Please contact the printer's manufacturer for the latest software."Â
All of the Bonjour settings are ON in the printer settings.Â
Using the Canon utilities still brings me to the "Add Printer" dialog box. How can I add this printer??
Always the same message " this application was not signed from know distributor and could destroy your computer" i can only install application from the app store..

Can I really not install Lion because my mac mini only has 1GB of RAM? This is very disappointing. I've just got myself an iPhone 4S, so effectively I can't use any of the iCloud features because my mac mini can't run Lion. And apparently there is no alternative.

I am unable to get Mac OS 10.7.3 with Safari 5.1.5 Lion to function. Anyone familiar with the probelem and solution?? i've tried a number of suggestions that have all failed.Â
Software update certificate expired on 3-23-2012. Unable to install iLife 11. The following message popup "iLife.pkg was signed with an invalid certificate."
When i create a new email in Mail and select underline everything works well but when i try to deselect underline it wont do that,i have a iMac i5 with OSX Lion
have a new macbook pro.... the track pad is being weird ... i can't click and drag something, and i can't select anything on drop down menus. I can do these things no problem with my pen and tablet, but not with the track pad. this is inconvenient to say the least.
I'm unable to send attachments using a either of my 2 Gmail IMAP accounts, one @gmail.com and the other is a business email (ie not a @gmail address). I can send them with no problem via my studio Mac Pro, but my MacBook Pro won't even attempt to send the attachment, with the email popping up saying it Cannot send message using the server.Â
At first I thought it was because I had Gmail's 2-step authenticaion but again, I've never had problems sending attachments from my Mac Pro. If I log on to my webmail, I can send with no problem on the laptop.Â
I've removed the account in Mail on my MBP and readded it to Mail with no joy. Does anyone know what could be causing it? I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out why! My MobileMe account can send attachments, though the Mail seems to constantly forget the MobileMe passwords which is also really annoying!Â
I seem to be unable to add PDF to my list of printers, as I have been able to do in the past. Is it no longer necessary to add a .PPD file to print directly to PDF from, say, Illustrator or InDesign?
