I have downloaded osx lion for the face time and it will not work. It says the server encounted an error please try again later. I have tried many times. Also I am looking for a user manual on how to use all the new things the the lion can do.

My facetime was working fine until recently it asked for a login and this time when I did login with my Apple id, it prompted for email verification. However it is not able to complete the verification and keeps giving the following error message : Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again.
I have checked the support forums and they all point towards preferences. Problem is that the preferences option for face time is grayed out and I am not able to use them.Â

How do you get ANY microphone to work in facetime with mac mini ? I have tried plug in mics on mic input, a bluetooth headset and there is no sound..I can hear and see other party, they can see but cant hear me. I wonder if with regards to accessing FaceTime on multiple devices. We have a number of Mac products (iPad, iPhones and Mac Book Pro) at our house, all connected to one wireless network. Some of these devices can log into FaceTime but others cannot (notably the MacBook pro), using the same Apple ID details. The error message I get is that I should check my network connection. However, the connection is fine, and other devices have no problems with connecting to Facetime.

how to get Facetime working again in Lion 10.7.40. I installed some AJA LHi video card drivers and now my webcam/Facetime/Skype won't load. The programs either crashes during load or, in the case of Skype, when I try to select the webcam in Preferences. I have uninstalled the AJA drivers but it doesn't change anything. I can create another user on the same system and Facetime works fine. I've tried contact AJA support but have heard nothing back in the last 48 hours. One thing of interest is that PhotoBooth works fine with the Logitech webcam.
