OS X V10.7 Lion :: Upgraded To 10.7.4 And Can't Use Lexmark C925 Connected On LAN
May 23, 2012
Last time I upgraded the system I had the same problem. My Lexmark C925 goes missing on the network. I seem to remember last time, all of a sudden it just started working so didn't think anymore of it!!
I've deleted the Printer in Preferences. When trying to reinstall the progress bar just whirls around forever. When I stop it the Lexmark isn't seen at all!
One time it said my Printer software was damaged and did I want it repaired. I said yes, but made no difference. Tried installing the latest Lexmark drivers myself (from Apple and Lexmark) to no avail. I've tried rebooting (Mac and printer). Is there an issue with Lexmarks drivers???
Here is the message I get when I load a page requiring Java: To open "Plugin Process" you need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the internet. But I am connected to the internet. The internet is working just fine. I had no problem until I upgraded to Lion today.
Apple on Tuesday afternoon released Lexmark Printer Driver Update 1.1 [71MB] which includes the latest drivers for Lexmark printers. This update is also available via Software Update but will only be visible if the printer is connected to your computer or a print queue has been created for an earlier version.
Since upgrading to Lion I have an extra page printing with every print job on my Optra E310 laser printer with cropped off USERID = "xxx", HOST ID = "xxx" and @PJL JOB NAME = "xxx". It seems to happen mainly in Apple applications, i.e. Mail, but has also happened in Acrobat Pro X. Admittedly, it's an old printer but according to Apple and Lexmark it is supported in Lion. I've tried every setting available but can't seem to eradicate the problem. Lexmark support, who were extremely unhelpful, kicked it straight back to Apple.
I have a problem using my Lexmarkt T620 printer with OS Lion.It prints everything as I want. But it adds at every printed job an additional page with only a few words on it and including information about the printed file. Something like ERID.I've never seen anything like this and I don't want to waste more paper when printing with my Lexmark.
I upgraded to Lion by download and I need to reformat my hard drive. How can I reinstall Lion without a disk? I have a Time Machine backup of my hard drive on an external drive.
I upgraded to Snow Leopard a few days ago, my Imac is from 2008, and today, I upgraded to Lion, and just when the computer rebooted, it got stuck in some form of reboot screen, dark, bunch of code. What do I do now? Do I need to turn it in?
I'm considering uprgrading my MacPro from Snow Leapord to Lion, but am concerned about some of the negative reviews I've read.My machine was purchased in 2008 and currently runs OSX 10.6.8, which runs all of my software with no flaws or incompatibilites.I'm a music composer with projects always in rotation.I compose with MOTU's Digital Performer and can't afford a lot of downtime as a result of a "bad" upgrade, hence my apprehension. My machine's specs are below:Model Identifier:[code] If anyone out there has upgraded a machine like mine to Lion with either positive or negative results.
I have a 2009 iMac that I have tried previously to upgrade to Lion. I remember that it was severly unsuccessful. I do not remember why.
Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac11,1 Processor Name:Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz Number Of Processors:1 Total Number Of Cores:4 L2 Cache (per core):256 KB L3 Cache: 8 MB Memory:8 GB Processor Interconnect Speed:4.8 GT/s Boot ROM Version:IM111.0034.B02 SMC Version (system):1.54f36
I do remember that I tried both an upgrade and a fresh install, but both were unsuccessful. Problem is that there are games and software that are coming out now that are only compatible with 10.7. It is time to get up to date, but either I get an dupgrade working or I buy a new iMac. Buying one just for the upgrade, seems a little counter customer centric.

Recently I upgraded Lion to 10.7.3. Since that time I have been having a lot of trouble with my internet connection. I keep losing the connect and have to go to diagnostics and turn it back on. Is anyone else having this problem?
I upgraded to Lion last week and now can open documents that are sent as attachments to e-mails? The file seems to download but when I try and open it I have this error message..... The document “BAAF__PAR_2008_Parts_A_-_C-4.doc” couldn’t be opened.
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion with Migration Assistant from separate disks inside my Mac Pro 1,1. It hangs systematically with "Less than a minute remaining" I have tried:
- Waiting 3 hours
- Unselecting Applications so just the user files are transferred
BUT always get the same result. What can I do to coax Migration Assistant to go all the way?

After we upgraded from 10.6.8 server to 10.7.4 server the wiki is not working. Is there a way to move the files over from the old wiki pages to the new one? how would I go about doing this? Everything else seems fine. It also seems that the whole web services is running really slow.
