For some strange reason when I open Apps or Finder windows within OSX 10.7.4 on my MBP the menu bar at the top of the screen disappears randomly then reappears again. I've attached an image.

I am running OS X 10.5. Suddenly today, everything on the screen magnified by about 10 or 15%. When I move the mouse, everything on the screen shifts as the mouse moves, so that I can end up seeing everything on the screen as if through a window. If I move the mouse down, the menu bar at the top of the screen disappears. With difficulty, I can still use the computer but obviously this is an unusable configuration. I have no idea what caused this and I don't have any idea how to fix it. After trying a number of things, I did a Clean Install (Archive and Install) of the OS but this did not help. The phenomenon occurs whether I am in an application or in Finder. Help!

My mid-2014 15" Macbook Pro randomly "loses" its retina display at the top menu (becomes pixel-y), where the battery, sound, and wifi logos are (on the top right side of the screen). A restart fixes the issue, but I want to know if this is an issue that can be fixed?Â

Using this drive, it will randomly disapear while running VM Fusion. There are no firmware updates for it.

When opening, changing and saving JPGs in Photoshop Elements 6, the thumbnail disappears and only a generic JPG icon shows. This happens randomly. I read that PSE6 is OK on Mavericks. I don't see the problem with GIMP or Lightzone, but I would like to be able to use PSE. Second, my mouse cursor randomly disappears from the screen from time to time.

When I'm using Safari, occasionally the menu bar just disappears. I'm running the latest version of Lion and the latest version of Safari. This is not a full screen app problem. I have multiple windows open. This happens all the time! Firefox is fine!

little word bug, that there is in the finder menu, when using the Danish language. First there is the grayed out "Ordn" that needs to be "Orden" and then there is the highligted "Ordn efter" that should be "Orden efter". Just wanted to le you know so you can make a better product. Â
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using a new iMac (OS 10.7.4) and was wondereing if it possible to stop my machine from constantly changing the input menu from "Britsh" to "U.S.". This is the item with the small national flag icon in the Finder menu.
Is there a way of removing one of these options permanently, in my case remove the U.S. option?

my "services" menu has disappeared as an option in finder. When I try to access it by right-clicking a finder item (folder or file), it's just plain missing. However if I look for it under the finder menu bar, the arrow beside service says 'building'. But I've been waiting for hours and it doesn't look like anything's happening.

Is it normal for the Finder to quit using the Cmd+ Q? I thought it needs to be force quit. But of late, sometimes, accidentally if I press Cmd+Q on a finder window, it quits, and does not relaunch either. So to speak, the Desktop disappears. I have to launch Downloads/Documents from the Dock to start the finder running once again. Doesn't seem Mac like. Something wrong, is it? And I recall this started happening after I ran an update for 10.6.1. It was running fine with 10.6.0

Most are the older versions of the applications. Does anyone know how to edit this list so only the current version of each application is shown? View 3 Replies View Relatedi just started using dropbox to sync my files. i tried uploading a 1GB file and it worked. however, while i was uploading it somehow 1.5 GB of RAM or so became used. i checked in activity monitor and it doesn't say what's using so much RAM in the list. nothing has changed in terms of memory usage in activity monitor, but 1.5GB of ram of is still being used.Â

So I found an Automator script that let me compress in the Rar format. I created the correct folders (~/Library/Workflows/Applications/Finder/) and went to see if I could compress just some folders but I have no "More.." contextual menu entry. In Leopard I had it. How am I supposed to use Automator workflows now? Am I alone in not having this entry? I have the 10.6.1 update installed.
