OS X V10.7 Lion :: All Application Using Video Indicating No Camera Connected
Apr 27, 2012
All applications using video on OSX 10.7.3 Mac pro send same message; There is no connected camera. How can that be? The camera is integrated into the Mac Pro.
Having this camera on my Mac, I am wondering if there is a program or reliable app that will make it into a video camera. I wanted to see if anyone enters my room at night while I am at work. Is there a program or app out there, one that is reliable?
Info: iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
I have a Mac Book Pro running OS X Lion. I cannot open .mpg video files created by my Panasonic Video camera. Neither iMovie nor Quicktime will open them. Final Cut Pro will not open them either.
I tried to capture the video camera (Sony Handycam 2007) on to my iMac and it wont open till I need to install the sofeware MPEG file so where can I easy to download the free software on internet?
My Dad has a 2006 17" iMac that is fully updated and it does have a camera built in as it should. My Dad also has a cannon all in one printer scanner copy machine hooked up to the computer. As of this moment, when I hit an application like Photo Booth or something else that uses the camera, the program says that no camera is connected.
I did a little detective work and found where someone hooked up an all in one HP device and the scanner took over the "port" that the iSight camera was supposed to be on. I don't know if this is the problem or not but it was all I could come up with. I am pretty Novice when it comes to computers and don't know how to tell what is on any port or how many ports their even are for that matter.
I have a MACBOOK PRO (new style) and i am trying to use the built in web cam. However, when I go into photo booth it tells me the camera is not connected. what it is that I am doing wrong? Also , when I go into photo booth the camera goes in and out...stating that camera is not connected.
Any time I open an application like Skype, Facetime, or Photobooth, it tells me my built-in camera is not connected.I've had this Macbook Pro since about October of 2011, and this problem didn't start until last month. Before that, it worked perfectly fine. I've restarted my computer several times with no luck, as well as restarted the applications themselves. I don't know what else to do! I don't want to pay to get it fixed if it's something I can easily fix myself. Should I try resetting my SMC?
I'm freaking out my imac is not connecting to any application with a camera i have honestly tried every thing i googled and did everything apple told me to do nothing has worked!
My brand new macbook pro was delivered from apple today. All works fine- aside from when I try to use facetime/photo booth it tells me that the camera is not connected. Why the in built camera is not working?
My brand new macbok pro arrived today, everything works fine apart from when i try to open FaceTime/photobooth and the message "camera cannot connect" is displayed, despite having an in-built camera.
I've got a Canon app which I use for tethering etc, but don't use for importing photos. But when I connect my camera via USB, this app (EOS Utility) automatically opens. There doesn't appear to be an option to change this in the app itself. Is there a central way in system preferences or elsewhere to change what happens when a camera is connected?
When i open photobooth or Facetime, or any other programe to use my inbuilt camera it comes up with "no camera connected".One day it was working, i had no accidents that i recall that would have caused this to happen and there are no other issues just this!
I'm looking for a network camera which can be connected directly to a modem.
A camera which can be controlled (pan/tilt) and viewed through a browser or on an iPad/iPhone. Preferably nightvision, motiondetection and auto upload to a ftp server upon detection.
I noticed 99% of the cameras don't support mac!?
I'm hoping to spend around $400, don't know if this is realistic.
Can anyone recommend a good camera and software to get the job done?
I keep getting "camera disconnected " in photo booth i leave the computer in sleep mode most of the time.I have to restart, for the camera to work again then it disconnects itself when photo booth has not been used for a while ?
I have a macbookpro. I use Aperture and Iphoto. When I connect any camera to the Mac it does not open it as a device in Iphoto, Aperture or in Finder. It use to work but just stopped. How do I load my pictures to either iPhoto or Aperture?
When I try to take a photo it says the camera is not connected. It used to work with these applications. I did all steps on Apple Support Page [URL] but it still doesn't work.
My Apple MacBook Air (OS X 10.9.3) is saying 'there is no connected camera' in both Photo Booth and FaceTime despite having a built-in integrated camera. The camera worked until I updated my laptop software I think. I have tried both the troubleshooting suggestions as given on the site and I have reset the SMC.
I have a Mac OSx ver 10.6.8 using Aperture ver 3.2.4. I recently tried downloading my pictures from my Pentax K-r. Could not import pictures. Since then I cannot eject the Pentax K-r icon and Aperture keeps trying to load assets even without the camera being connected to my Mac. How can I stop this from happening?
