Feb 27, 2012I am unable to retrieve new messages in mail on IMac. Went to mail preferences and checked account info which are the exact settings as of yesterday and matches the same preferences in my other IMac. I have my wifi connection working just can't get mail. What to do next? I did run Main Menu and Repair Disk permissions. Mail is working on my MacPro and other IMac.

Jul 1, 2012I have some people send text messages to my email, and until recently I could read them fine. Now they started showing up blank. When I view the messages on a windows machine I see a .txt attatchment that I can open, that has the message. Why am i unable to see that in Mail?

Feb 4, 2012I have a rule that copies an email to the ON MY MAC and then another that MOVES TO A FOLDER in Mobileme. They are in this order. The problem is when I quit Mail the Folder I am copying to is changed to the Mobileme folder so I end up with a duplicate. It doesn't change until Mail is quit. The other odd part, there one arragement like this that did savef at some point and works as expected.Â
I have tried having both of these rules combined into 1 and have the same results.

OS X V10.6 Snow Leopard :: Mac Mail Loses All Mail In Inbox Except For One Message
Apr 11, 2012One IMAP account is intermittently losing all mail in inbox except for one message. After doing opening program the receive wheel spins for a long time, but at this point there are only 170 emails in the inbox because we moved all the rest to the on my mac inbox to try to solve this porblem. There are two accounts, both from the same provider, but one of them takes a long time to receive new mail.  The wheel spins for a long time - each time it gets mail.Â
Several times after finishing receive cycle, all the mail that was in the inbox disappears, except for one. I was able to get the emails to retrn by going into settings>accounts> and changing a random setting and then changing it back the way it was. All settings appear to be correct and match the other other account that is working correctly.Â

OS X :: Snow Leopard Mail.app - Can't Get IMAP Mail?
Sep 23, 2009Since updating to Snow Leopard 10.6.1 Mail.app has been unable to retieve IMAP mail from my OS X Leopard 10.5.x server running the standard cyrusd. Does anybody have any clues? Mail just sits there syncing the mailbox forever, it never stops. If I turn on logging to file, it just continuously FETCHes from IMAP and never ends. It's driving me mad. My iphone can get the IMAP mail from the same server absolutely fine. I added the mail account to a new OS X Snow Leopard user account, and that also failed to get anywhere. So its not corrupted data on my MBP. It doesn't appear to be corrupted data on the OS X server either, as the iPhone works.

Apr 26, 2012I am running a Powerbook with OS 10.5.8 with mail 3.6. For no obvious reason, mail quit sending messages. It receives but does not send. I have reinstalled mail from the installation disc but it didn't resolve the problem. I doubt it was a factor but when the send function quit I was on a very slow dial-up connection. During this time when I was lucky enough to get connected, the connection would drop after a minute or two or it might last for several minutes. This happened repeatedly while I was trying to download received mail and a program.

May 2, 2010I'm running 10.6.3 Snow Leopard on my 2008 MBP. At first it worked great, but with an occasional beach ball. But it's gotten worse. Now i can't do anything if i have more than 3 pages of safari open, it just beach balls or freezes. If i have iMovie open and am working on a project, it beach balls every time i try to navigate the project (with 480 X 320 H.264 video!) Plus everything else freezes so much and then just spazzes out when the computer comes to. I don't have much stuff on here, only about 20 or so apps plus the stock apps (most i dont use that much but keep because i occasionally use it), plus like 40GB/185GB available on the partition.

Apr 22, 2012I have an old mac Book with OS X 10.5.8 running on it and I have a family DVD version of leopard that I have installed on my imac( that currently runs Lion(10.7.2) so it should install in my mac book. When I insert it into the macbook it whizzes for a bit and then spits out the dvd. Jun 10, 2012If I do not currently own a copy of bootcamp, how would I go about aqcuiring this piece of software? You see, I reently got my iMac back from an Apple Store, and after reinstalling the Operating system, and installing bootcamp, it simply wasn't there anymore, it appeared that the application simply got rid of itself, but it doesn't matter why I don't hve it, back to the point. Could I download it from an official site? Or would I have to go to the apple store and ask for a disk of it, or for them to install it. Or am I simply out of luck and would have to purchase an entirely new apple computer to acquire bootcamp?Â
