I can't install neither Security Update 2012-003 nor Flashback Removal Update. The installer says the software cannot be installed on my machine. I am on a G5 (PPC) iMac running OSX 10.5.8. What's going wrong? By the way, automatic software update did not find any updates for me. I had to download the updates manually from Apple's software support page.

after install, only get the spinning card- no startup. tried all startup key combinations and zapped PRAM. also ran disc utility and hardware check- hardware is fine all I get is nothing. noticed others reporting problems with the update on another thread, but my mac won't even start up. do not want to have to reinstall OS and 3rd party apps. any suggestions? would it help to take to apple store geniuses- can they somehow bypass the update and get it started up?

I am having problems with programs automatically shutting down when I try to open them. The problems are with ITunes and Skype. I know that Skype is an internet program, and this might be a problem, but I never had this happen before... EVER. iTunes only starts up half way, then it brings up an error box.
I had no problems until I updated in Feburary. Can I uninstall the last update and restore to the old one?

I want to re-install Snow Leopard, from DVD, and do a clean install to remove Yosemite.Â
When I boot with DVD, in the drive the DVD drive, and holding the Option key down the Mac sees and starts to boot from the DVD. Then it all goes quiet and nothing further happens.Â
I have a 2012 Mac Pro. I thought it would be just a case of using the Snow Leopard DVD and got a new DVD in post today. Â

I have problems since applying the latest security Update 2009-001 and Java 10.5 Update 3, I have 10.5.6 on the new unibody 2.4ghz and have completely lost the ability to connect to my wireless access point which is an apple airport extreme base station.
I can sometimes se the base station but cannot connect to it and sometimes cannot see it at all. I have three other apple computers at home all less then a year old running the same build of 10.5.6 but have not updated them and they all are fine.
This one was perfect untill I applied the update.
The machine I am having problems with is partitioned with windows 7 beta on it which has no problems connecting to the base station, which indicates that its not a hardware problem but more then likely the update which is causing the problem.
Is there a way to uninstall the last update or delete it? Any one with a similar problem or know how I can fix it, I have googled but cannot seem to find anyone with similar problems.

When I attempt the update, I get the following error:"The Update "Java for OS X 2012-003" can't be installed.The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs." This is on a new Mac Mini (purchased in April 2012) that has been kept updated with all other software updates. I have tried to do this update several times over the last several days with the same error.
