I tried updating it and all, i've also tried repairing the disk but it still crash when i go to youtube. firefox does it as well. i tried downloading google chrom but unfortunately it's not compatible with 10.4. the following is the report in safari crash.

Lately I've been having a lot of trouble watching flash videos.
I've tried emptying the cache, resetting Safari, repairing permissions, restarting my MBP and rebooting the router. Nothing works.
Basically, the videos play when they feel like it.
I press play and nothing happens. Videos just do not load.
Having an issue with Safari loading youtube videos. When a video is buffering Safari becomes very choppy or unresponsive until the video is fully loaded. Only Safari slows down no lag in the os or an excessive amount of CPU usage. Tested in Firefox to make sure it wasn't my internet connection and the video loaded and played fine without any hiccups. I updated my flash player and Safari to 5.1.5 just to see if that would solve anything and tried clearing the cache.

Safari crashes pretty much all the time now. Usually when loading embedded youtube videos or going to a pimped myspace page. It crashes at least 5 times a day and is getting old?

Every time i try to stream videos rather it be on a "tube-site" or not they "buffer" or are interrupted because of slow loading. I have already emptied the cache and reset safari a number of time and it dosnt help. This issue seems to be getting worse with time, as when i first got it it was fine of course.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am encountering the problems 9 out of 10 times when I am watching a video on youtube in fullscreen. The problem seems to be when I use fullscreen.... It also crashes when on other sites watching videos, but I use youtube daily.. After it crashes, I need to quit safari first and then restart safari for internet to work again, otherwise I need to wait 1 till a few minutes for it gets to my homepage and internet works again.
I tried reinstalling safari, reinstalling flashplayer and resetting safari, but with no luck. Don't know if it will do any good, but I am on the first MB aluminum unibody, using Safari 5.0.1 (6533.17.8) and I think flashplayer 10.6
I wanted to add the error, but it is to long. If someone want to look at it, I am happy to send it through email or whatever is handy....

I am on an older computer system OX 10.4.11 and safari has made my computer unusable it crashes everytime I try to do anything especially when I try to watch a youtube movie and/or even try to open a youtube account. I have tried to suggestions on the forum i.e. clean up cache, reset safari, clean up cookies, etc., etc. but my computer still crashes with Safari. I tried to upload the 4.1.3 which I understand is the newest version my computer can take and reboot my computer but again safari crashes and I cannot get into youtube.Â

Over the past two or three weeks, my Safari has bogged down. It will load most Web pages just fine, but YouTube, Google and Facebook just won't launch. I managed to use it to download Firefox and it's working great. Safari is still a no-go.

Safari has been crashing for me every time I open it. It's mostly on sites like YouTube, which leads me to believe that it's a flash problem. When I open the page it just freezes up and the pinwheel just keeps spinning and spinning. I noticed these problems on my MacBook after I upgraded to Snow Leopard, and now they are arising again on my recently purchased Mac Pro (also running SL). I'm running latest version of SL, Safari, and Flash.

Safari doesn't reload fast and crashes / hangs frequently. Youtube takes a long time to load and when it's up, the visuals, audio are jerky. Vimeo hardly loads up. This machine is only about a month old and it acts up sluggishly. Some other programs running are slow too.

I am Having some issues with Safari (I am using 4.0.5), if I open up a website the screen stays white like it normally does for a sec to load a web page but the loading icon keeps spinning and spinning and spinning....... until I click the "X" stop icon and reload the web page. As soon as I click the reload icon the webpage loads up instantly, it is getting really annoying and would be great if anyone has a fix. This doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen frequently and then be fine for a few web pages and then start up again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I'm new in this forum and I've got a HUGE problem with Youtube and my iBook G4 that started recently.
Whenever I enter to Youtube and start loading any video, the system crashes, not only Safari but any application that is open at the time.
I've uninstalled and installed Flash Player, updated the system and Safari as well as tried using another browser (Firefox) with no results.
When I disable Javascript from Safari the system does not crash and another thing I noticed is that I can watch embedded videos on other pages but not directly on Youtube.
I've tried to copy something from my NAS to the Mac and had to quit in the middle of the process.
Now, when the Finder connects to the NAS it crashes (icons disappear from the desktop, same do finder windows and bar). Tried Relaunch, nothing happens.
Tried Reboot, at first everything is ok, then (couple of minutes later) I get the message that the connection to the NAS was interrupted and then nothing works anymore.
System is updated, caches are cleared, all periodic scripts have been run...

All of the sudden my web browser (doesn't matter which one i use, I've tried firefox 3.5.3, firefox 3.0.9 and latest safari) crashes every time i visit youtube. As soon as I enter the site, the beach ball shows up and I have to force quit the browser. I have the latest version of flash. I'm not really sure what could be causing this and was wondering if anybody has had a similar problem and knows a fix.
View 2 Replies View Relatedrunning OS X 10.5.8 on a MacBook Pro. Lately my mac has been buggy, and I'm not sure why. When a decent amount of information is processed by any given application, it crashes. These crashes have included Mail, Safari, Photoshop, Foxfire, etc.. even the entire computer has shut down. Using the reset option does not help. I ran Repair Disk Permissions and it always fails. I get messages like "The Underlying Task Reported Failure on Exit". I wanted to try to run repair disk through the install disk but I cannot access it. I have Disk 1 in (Maybe I'm supposed to use 2?).
When booting I tried pressing 'C' and would eventually would get the "must restart" gray screen. I then tried pressing "Option" instead, selected the Disk drive, but the loading screen with the apple just kept going for about 20 minutes and I finally gave up and restarted. There were no longer any disk attempt whirring sounds.
I have a macbook pro running 10.4 on it, and ever since I've restarted my computer yesterday (it was starting to slow down a bit, but its better now), every time I try to load any kind of streaming video on any browser, it crashes. Not hang, but your average annoying run-of-the-mill "crash reporter" crash. I've cleaned up all my caches, private data, etc., same for the system, I've checked for viruses, I've reinstalled the browsers, and the flash player and a few other things I can't remember right now. One thing that has occurred to me is that this has occurred no matter what browser or company that created the browser software (like mozilla). Could there be a plugin thats interfering with the software?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn two different computers, Safari will occassionally (although it's getting more frequent), not load a page. I'll click on a link or a bookmark, it will put the address in the toolbar and the progress bar goes across, but it will stay on the current page. I'll reload the page and get the same effect (correct address, progress bar goes across, previous page) The toolbar has the new address, but the page will be the old page. Â
Quiting Safari resets it and it automatically goes to the new page upon reopening. Is there a way to keep Safari from doing this?

Trying to open Pandora.com using Safari, the site comes up and runs and runs, but never brings up the signin page instead it comes up with a help page. I tried the suggestion on the help page, but this does no good, mostly settings, and making sure the browsers are at the latest versions. If I go through Develope and select User Agent > Internet Explorer v7 or v8 in Safari, Pandora loads and runs correctly.  But there is more, I tried this with FireFox v12 and Google Chrome v18.0.1025... they both failed just like Safari. MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo - 8GB memory - 500GB Hard Drive & Mac OS X 10.7.3 on a MacBook Pro and Safari v5.1.5?

Safari 5.0.6 won't load Facebook onto my Mac G5. It will load all other sites and if I log onto Facebook from another computer it works fine. Facebook has worked fine until about 5 days ago.
