Sep 9, 2010I just downloaded Safari Version 5.0.1 (5533.17.8) and now when I try to visit a trusted work site I am blocked by a suspected malware warning. If I click ignore and then try to re-open the site the malware warning returns. If I use firefox I am able to log in without a problem. Any way to get rid of this warning?

Feb 20, 2009I began having freezes unrelated to any new software or behaviors. The hardware check showed no problems with the hardware or memory, so I cleaned out the inside of the computer, used Disk utility, AppleJack, Mac Janitor and reset p ram (all said it was OK, then the freeze came back), and finally zeroed the hard drive and reinstalled OSX.
It was stable for a few weeks then the freeze happened again followed by repeated kernel panics. I went thru all the steps above again but finished with an archive and install and created a new user admin account. Until this point the freezes and KP were on all three user profiles. But now this new user admin is fully functional while the others are still messed up.

Mar 30, 2009I just tried to add a partition to my external HDD (which I use for Time Machine). I used Disk Utility to add a partition of 100GB (leaving an extra 200GB for the Time Machine partition).This process took about 30 seconds and when both partitions re-mounted they were both empty. I went back into Disk Utility and deleted the second partition I just added and resized the Time Machine partition back to using 100% of the HDD.
