May 30, 2012I don't know why my MacBook Pro is working so slowly. I wondered if I had somehow gotten MacDefender downloaded and realised it was malware. I couldn't find it in the Applications but I did find mdworker. I don't know what that is. Could it be related to MacDefender?

Sep 9, 2010I just downloaded Safari Version 5.0.1 (5533.17.8) and now when I try to visit a trusted work site I am blocked by a suspected malware warning. If I click ignore and then try to re-open the site the malware warning returns. If I use firefox I am able to log in without a problem. Any way to get rid of this warning?

Mar 19, 2012An email from an old friend contained an innocuous-looking link that led to a Mal/Badsrc-M virus landing on the hard drive, in the Firefox Library. It is not removable. In Trash, it leaves a copy where it was removed. In emptying Trash, it replicates intensively so that Trash cannot be emptied until the file is returned to where it was found. Then, Time Machine stays in "Preparing" mode and does not back up the drive. Online information via Sophos declares this virus to affect only Windows. I beg to differ.Â

I tried searching the forums but most of the answers I found said OS X is immune from them or did not apply at all. I was having problems with copy/paste not working correctly and other weird issues so I restarted my MacBook Air. Now when the computer starts, this ZipCloud window pops up. The last thing I installed was Dragon Dictation. Could that be the problem? Anyway, I just want to know how to get rid of this ZipCloud popup and anything else that got installed that I don't know about and don't want.Â

Mar 24, 2012I went a couple weeks ok with the Scanner and Image Capture. And then kaput, it doesn't work. I thought about it some and it seemed to stop working after I did Software Update on March 17th, 2012. In that update was a "Digital Camera Raw 3.1.0" update. Which makes me very suspicious. Here is the error I get when I open Image Capture: So, it recognizes the scanner but can't do anything in Image Capture or the with the scanner buttons. I ran Software Update again, just to see if there was a new updated scanner driver but nothing came up. I really want to avoid using the manufacturer's SW drivers etc.Â

The first time I ran the checker and just chose Keep. It then asked a similar question and I chose Keep again. Then it checked programs, etc. I rebooted and ran it again, and go the same message. This time, I just did not answer and the script time ran out.Â
What does this mean? Do I have malware??[URL]...Has anyone else used this Malware checker/remover??
