I have created my first website using iweb and posted it to the free webs.com hosting site. Webs.com requires that the home page be named 'index.html'. So I changed the name of the iweb Welcome page to index.html. Not surprising, the "welcome" link on my navigation bar doesn't work.I can't figure out how to fix this. Suggestions?
View 3 RepliesI have only been "MAC" for five years now...from a PC of course. I LOVE IWEB, but noted this morning on one of my sites I have up ONLY on one page one of the navigation links is not working. I went back into Mac and took the page and marked it NOT to be linked saved and went back and reinstated it in the link navigation bar, resaved it, republished it, ftp'd it up and cleared recent history... and still no luck.
artistsoftexas.org on the ARTIST page, I cannot get the link to actively work to Galleries/workshops. Works on all other pages.
Is it possible to have a secondary navigation bar to link off to a set of pages. For example on the main page I am going to have Topic 1 and when you click on topic one i want it to go to a page that gives a summary of topic one and also provides links to the sub sections of topic one. Is it possible and if so, how?
View 2 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is a Safari issue or Lion, but somehow, I have click on the toolbar and changed an original setting which means the URL displayed in the address bar does not reflect the pages I am navigating to. It comes up with the homepage and unless I manually type something new in, it stays the same URL. Even in google when I am changing webistes, etc. it still shows the same address- either homepage address or what I typed,

I experience this problem for 2 days now. The wi fi says it is connected and all the bars are full but id doesn't load a single page!
The internet i've got is vergin so normally is very fast.Downstairs where we have a desktop computer connected to the D-link is working as normal.
When I open the network diagnostics in mac it shows : wi fi is green , wi-fi settings is green, network settings is failed(red), ISP failed(red), Internet failed (red), server failed red.

i've not had a problem linking to my imac to my nokia e50 via bluetooth. it's after the update to OS10.5.6 that the bluetooth function doesn't work anymore.
each time, after selecting my cellphone as the bluetooth device to be browsed, I'll have to wait for at least 1 minute for the connection to be done.
after this, I'll still can't link my cellphone to my imac.

I have macbook pro And my mail has stopped working now. It worked fine a week ago . It doesn't check for new mails , even when I click on get new mail , there is no new mail. I tried to sign out and sign in again but that didn't work . View 1 Replies View RelatedI told myself not to do it. Don't update the Safari software to 4.0, you know how they always mess up these things. And yet, per accident I did. Of course Safari 4.0 doesn't work. Every time I open it, it shuts down. iChat also doesn't work anymore, and even the Dashboard shuts down every now and then. In addition, the computer feels incredibly slow. I can't download rapidshare links on iGetter anymore and everything just feels wrong. Countless threads have been opened on this matter with a variety of different problems for different people. Yet I have not read a proper solution. I have seen all kinds of technical solutions being offered but I'm not a computer wiz and I do not know the terms they use. I just want to go back to Safari 3.2 or at least the one before the 4.0 But I read that deleting Safari 4 and reinstalling 3.2 won't work because of a certain webkit that got installed with it, making it impossible to go back.

Mail.app will not download my work emails while I am at work, although it works fine when I am at home. The settings are exactly the same as for Thunderbird on my desktop, which works fine.

View 1 Replies View Related I am learning the keyboard and navigation. I have been heavily keyboard-oriented and prefer a keyboard shortcut when they are available. I have looked around for some but am unable to find them. It seems that some things just require the mouse.
An example would be navigating the mailboxes in Mail. Seems there is no keystroke to move up and down to select a mailbox, nor to "expand all" in the mailboxes pane. Instead each flippy triangle has to be clicked, which is quite tedious during my mail conversion process.
My Grand Son and a friend of his recently visited and somehow they changed the appearance of my display. At the top of the screen I used to have a bar that showed what website I was on and if I wanted to change web sites I just had to type in the new website I wanted. Now there is a grey stripe that only shows my favs and the forward and reverse arrows. Not very tech savvy so the terms may not be the correct ones, how to return to the previous settings.
View 14 Replies View RelatedSince updating Safari recently to 5.1.5, if I choose the Mail Link to This Page command, instead of opening Mail.app with a new email with the link pasted in, it launches Google Chrome and, in Chrome, goes to the email login page for Google webmail. If I choose the Mail Contents of This Page command, I get an error message stating: "Safari can't create an email message because Google Chrome.app doesn't support sending webpages from Safari. You can use the Mail application included with Mac OS X to send webpages." Safari is set as my default browser. This behavior started immediately after the 5.1.5 update.I use these commands pretty regularly and, through many version of mail.app and Safari, there has never been a glitch. Any ideas, folks? Or is this a bug introduced by 5.1.5 or some other recent Software Update? (Software updates are completely up to date and on 10.7.3.)

So I clicked the volume up button, and it doesn't change the level (there's a small "no" sign, the circle with the line through it, under where the volume level should be). In the menu bar, the volume control is now a light grey and I can't use it. Same with in system preferences. Any ideas on how to get volume to start working again or why it stopped?

I just upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. When I had the old Tiger software installed, I was able to zoom in and out on my screen by holding down the Control key while scrolling with my mouse.
But since I installed Leopard (not Snow Leopard, since I am using a G5 Tower PowerPC), this key combination no longer works.
This former screen zoom feature is important to me because I am a graphic designer with a neurological condition (tremors in my hands) that makes selecting fine points in graphic applications difficult unless I zoom in.
Note: using the normal graphics apps magnifying glass feature does not help me, because the select points still stay small, but using the old screen zoom method made the points larger and easier for me to select.
Every evening (almost) I loose my internet connection. Thought it was my provider, but hooked up with a cable and the connection is fine.
I do have a WD 1T USB drive attached for TM backups of my wifes MB, so I�m thinking it has to have something to do with this set up.
I god my MacBook Pro a couple of weeks ago, and I am very satisfied! I noticed that the Maven version is 2.2.0, and I wanted to update to 2.2.1. I tried to looked at some tutorials on how to do this, but something went wrong.
In the Terminal, if I write "mvn -v", I get "-bash: mvn: command not found". Normally, I would get some information on what version Maven is and some other things. The strange thing is that when i write "sudo mvn -v" I get what I should:
