Is it possible to have a secondary navigation bar to link off to a set of pages. For example on the main page I am going to have Topic 1 and when you click on topic one i want it to go to a page that gives a summary of topic one and also provides links to the sub sections of topic one. Is it possible and if so, how?
View 2 RepliesI have only been "MAC" for five years now...from a PC of course. I LOVE IWEB, but noted this morning on one of my sites I have up ONLY on one page one of the navigation links is not working. I went back into Mac and took the page and marked it NOT to be linked saved and went back and reinstated it in the link navigation bar, resaved it, republished it, ftp'd it up and cleared recent history... and still no luck.
artistsoftexas.org on the ARTIST page, I cannot get the link to actively work to Galleries/workshops. Works on all other pages.
I am getting close to desperate after trying "everything" to make the navigation menu active on the first page of a site I'm developing for my brother's band. No matter what I do, the navigation on [URL] doesn't work and I'm flabbergasted as to why this is happening. Or not happening, so to speak. The other pages [URL] work like a charm, at least when it comes to links.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which i have made many changes. Now when I open iWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto iWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto iweb?
I haven't setup time machine, I publish using Easy iWeb Publisher, I don't have have a Mobileme account
My old MB got attacked by some tea and died. So now i have a new unibody although the main thing that i have lost from my old MB is my iWeb pages.
I have mobile me, and have the site published to that. How can i download the site to my MB in iWeb format? Iv tried downloading them as HTML but iWeb can't open them.
I have a huge file I need to send a bunch of people, but its 150MB, so I was wondering about uploading the file to the FTP and giving a direct link for people to download?My webpage is up already so I know how to use iweb and and cyberduck, but I've yet to figure out to just upload it and send a direct link via FTP url?

I used blank pages for all the movie pages and each one has a 320x240 quicktime and a 320x180 wmv. Can you put movies on blank pages or do you have to use the movies pages templates provided by iweb to play movies?

So I changed the name of the iweb Welcome page to index.html. Not surprising, the "welcome" link on my navigation bar doesn't work.I can't figure out how to fix this. Suggestions?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wrote an email to the tech people on my domain service provider, Network Solutions, because I've yet to see my website load properly. I was directed to use web forwarding, and I set that up over the weekend. However, though I am hosted through MobileMe, my personal domain link takes me to a blank page. There had been an under construction page. if I am using web forwarding, should I remove the personal domain from my Mobile Me preferences? Could that be the reason it won't work?

When I'm on Facebook or any other site that people post links: I click on the link, a new Safari window opens, and after 15-20 seconds I get a "failed to open page" prompt that states:
"Safari can't open the page (link) because the server where this page is located isn't responding".
And yet, if I copy and paste the link to a new window it opens just fine.

Here's my situation:I created a site using iWeb '08. Many months passed and I wasn't doing anything with that particular site any longer, so I nuked the pages within iWeb and have since worked on new projects.Now I need to do some work on that old site again.I have all of the created content in a folder that had been stored on my server, but I have nary a clue how to get it all back into iWeb again.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwe are trying to hook up our TV as a secondary monitor (for hulu, netflix, etc) but it defaults as the primary monitor. We would like to keep the imac as the primary monitor, and have the TV as a secondary, but cannot figure out how to do it! The only way we can get the imac back to primary status is if we use mirror mode. Once we take it off mirror mode, the TV becomes the primary monitor again, and there appears to be no way of switching it in OSX display preferences.
I've done similar hookups with my laptop, and the TV defaults as the secondary monitor. Why isn't this happening with our iMac? Any ideas?
I've been having repeated kernel panics for a little over a week now. I've run disk utility, tech tools, the disk utility on the installation disk, remember ram test, installed a virus checker, reinstalled (archive/install) mac os x. I am not receiving any errors in the tests, but I am still having kernel panics. They always happen when I am on the internet, not immediately, but I'd say about 20 minutes or so into a session. I first started having the panics when I clicked on a link from someone's facebook page and a kernel panic immediately popped onto my screen. I've been having them ever since.

I've put a lot of work into customizing the theme, and iLife 09 is currently being shipped to me. In iWeb 09, can I still maintain and build on this site even though the theme is not included anymore? And, if not, is there a way that I can find the theme data in Finder and copy and paste that into the theme data files in iWeb 09?

Also is there a way of renaming the page name without effecting what is visible in the navigation bar?
iWork and iLife only let me secondary click once before I can no longer secondary click.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen copying a table from say a webpage or even a RTF file, Pages does not retain its table formatting. Instead it separates the rows and columns and puts them on separate lines.
See it for yourself, try copying one of the tables on this page into Pages [URL]
The only way I can get the table into Pages is to paste into NeoOffice (which retains the correct formating), save the file with the .doc extension then open in Pages.
I would like any application using full screen mode to do that on my secondary screen (a connected projector).
For example when I do a slideshow with Preview it does it on my laptop screen instead of on the projector. Same with iTunes.
I would like the visualizations to appear on the second screen. When watching a youtube-video, it'd be great to have the fullscreen appearing on the second screen while being able to keep on browsing on the first.
