Jun 30, 2010I am a newbie with the iMac still. I have a couple of DVDs that I want to load onto my iPad. How should I go about doing this?

May 18, 2012Just paid for a movie on iTunes, (The Great Escape), but it won't play on my iMac or transfer to my iPad... what gives? When I try to play the movie I get error: "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."When I try to move it to my iPad I get the error: "The Great Escape (1963)" was not copied to the iPad (My iPad) because it cannot be played on this iPad." I have iTunes 10.6.1 (7) 64-bit on a brand new iMac 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i5 with OSX 10.7.4. I'm a little ticked that I can't see a movie I just paid $9.99 for.Â

Mar 10, 2012I rented a movie in iTunes and using the movies tab of my iPad, I clicked "Move" to move the movie over to the iPad. WHen I sync the device, it goes through the motions and after finishing, it moves the movie back over the iTunes side of the display. Effectively, not transferring the rented movie.I tried this same thing on my iPhone and got the same result.I'm using the latest version of iTunes and the iOS 5.1 on both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4.

Apr 26, 2012I have already rented several HD movies straight to my iPad (1) and never had a problem. Tonight however I decided to try a new thing and insted of renting straight to the iPad I tried to rent it in iMac first (iTunes) and than move it to the iPad (thought the download could be quicker and was right: it took some 15min to download an HD movie with the iMac when it normaly takes some 45min with the iPad on the same network).Â
The problem is, when I try to move the movie into the iPad and click "Apply", I get the message saying that "This movie can not play on this iPad".... I tried to do it directkly on the iPad (and paid for the movie again...) and it downloaded just fine... (though it took 45 minutes).Â

Apr 29, 2012I rented a movie on iTunes via my iPad.It loaded properly. I hit play and Air Play so it would connect to my Apple TV. I can now HEAR the movie, but I cannot see it (having said that, I see the movie, still, on my iPad screen....). Apple TV and AirPlay work fine with youtube videos and previously bought movies.

Nov 1, 2010I'm new to the whole Apple scene, been using (and still am using) Windows up to this point but now that I've saved up some cash I want to make the switch. Running a 4-year old Windows desktop and 1-year old Windows netbook right now, sick and tired of this!
I'm a photographer, so I need a computer that can edit photos and video and not just to browse. I spend 5 days a week at my University and the weekends at home, so there is a little issue with the mobility. I have over 30GB of music by the way. Budget allowing, I can get the [ MC511ZP/A - iMac 27"/2.8 ghz Intel Core i5 /4 GB/1 TB HD/ATI Radeon HD 5750 with 1 TB ] as an iMac, or the [ MC373LL/A - MBP 15" 2.66 Ghz i7/4 GB/ 500 GB HD/ 512 MB GDDR3 Intel HD ] if I were to get a Macbook Pro.
Given the circumstances, would it be more reasonable for me to get the MBP+iPad so that I could have a powerful computer I could easily move between my two houses while at the same time having a super-mobile tablet to use in school and for non-heavy duty computing activities, the MBP+iPod Touch which would be the same concept as the iPad but then I'd have to use the MBP for e-mailing and web browsing and just stick to having mobile music, or the 27" iMac which gives me the most bang for the buck and a really pretty screen while having the iPad as my mobile computer although it would mean I would have to go 2-3 days a week with only my iPad as a computer excepting long vacations when I would just take my iMac back to our family house?

May 23, 2012Messages I sent from my IMac using my Fuse email account don't show up in my sent messages on my IPad mail app and visa versa. I have icloud setup for both my IMac and IPad. My iphone behaves the same way as my ipad. Despite having iCloud enabled for mail on all three devices the sent mail does not sync or show up on any device except the one it was sent from. Is there a way to make the sent messages folder on all 3 devices show all the sent messages (for some recent timer period)?
