Apr 30, 2007Is there a way to print non consecutive pages at one time via OSX?? Usually, I go to Preview and print them one at a time.

Dec 6, 2010I have had difficulty in attaching my HP Photosmart C5580 printer to my new MacBookPro (OSX 10.6) through my Netgear WGPS606 print server. After much searching I found previous posts here which advised me to add the Gutenprint driver 5.2.6 which I did. That finally DID successfully attach the printer through the server.
However, there is a lag of many seconds (sometimes minutes) between the SEND command and the starting of the printer. Is this the new normal that I need to expect or is there a fix?

May 19, 2007I have a panorama picture that I would like to print out. The print menu lets you put multiple pictures on one page but not one picture across multiple pages. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this without manually cropping the picture up into one page pieces.

Jan 17, 2009In a 300 to 400 page document that contains 60 to 70 pages of diagrams, is there any way to designate which pages will print. Sometimes, I need to print out only the diagrams. I don't really want to type in 70 separate page numbers in the "page range" section of the print window.
If I can't do this in Word 2008, is there some other program that I can do this in?

Feb 19, 2009I have labels sheets (Avery) that I want to print on.
In Word, i just choose File, New, Labels, and am given a choice of label types. I fill in the tabs and job done.
Does anyone know how to do this in Pages? I know how to create a table, but, isn't there an easier way to do this?
Plus, can I edit the current business cards template so that I can use it to create the labels?
Currently, I am using Pages for all my word processing stuff, with the exception of printing labels and envelopes.

Safari :: How To Print (save) Pages As PDF
Mar 4, 2012I´m running Lion, we´re getting better acquainted. However, with Safari I´m having problems when I try to save a web page as a PDF using the Print-Save PDF options. It tells me the file cannot be saved. I try duplicating, exporting, etc, and the only solution I´ve found is to email the document, which, when attatched to the email arrives as a PDF with no problem whatsoever. This is silly (close to dancing infront of my MacBook Pro with a black chicken spitting rum in all directions).

Nov 16, 2007I've been disappointed that the preview in the Leopard print dialog does not update if you select to have multiple pages per sheet. I often do this to conserve paper when I'm printing lecture notes. With Leopard, I'm often doing this blind and get things out of order. Has anyone got this to work? I seem to think that one of programs--either preview or Acrobat--provided this functionality in Tiger.

Each day for years I have printed a puzzle from the NY Times and scale it to a preferred size by the sequence <<command-print / page set-up / scale / enter>> then print>> in the Print panel. 10.6.8 does not scale the page; it prints at 100%.Â
I have seen the discussion recommending "tab out of the Scale box" and tried it but entering <<tab>> has no effect.Â

May 15, 2012Upon 3 fast consecutive caps my keyboard changes layout automatically and there is no way I can change it back other than taking the batteries away and later putting them back. It is really annoying, especially because the backspace changes to forward space and the arrow keys have different functions. The keyboard has new batteries, changing language does not work, OS is 10.6.8 with all updates.

Jun 26, 2012Firefox has this option on OSX (each frame on separate page), but safari seems to lack such an option. I need to print multiple frames (invoices from zencart) each on separate pages. When I try to print with Safari it will either try and print the selected frame, or it will print all the frames as it's laid out on the page (all printed on one page). Am I missing this option somewhere? Is there an extension I can try (already tried print plus to no avail)?

Jun 28, 2014I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â

Mar 8, 2009Here is what I've got�two MacBooks at the office running wirelessly via Time Capsule/Airport. One of the MacBooks has been plugged in via USB to an HP printer (my manager uses that one).
I've been printing wirelessly to an Epson printer. I told my manager that she could also use the Epson and she gave it a try�it worked fine. However, ever since then I have not been able to print to the Epson!?
I tried deleting the driver from the print utility and adding it back on to no avail. Any ideas as to what happened or what I can do to solve the problem?

Jun 21, 2009Just got my Time Capsule today and had absolutely no problems getting it all set up with my MBP. Created a new wireless network with my AirPort Express in the other room and now I can print wirelessly off two different printers. What a breeze!
Trying to get our two XP machines to recognize the printers? Forget it.
Both XP laptops recognize the Time Capsule with no problems. I can log on to both, and basically it works like its supposed to. But I can't get the XP machines to see the two printers. Frankly, the Apple support pages weren't much help. I tried to create a port with the specific IP address on the AirEx. And I also redownloaded the two HP drivers.

Jun 1, 2009so I am try to fix a macbook that was updated to 10.5.7 it appears there is an issue with finder, files or folders can't be move (nothing is locked), spotlight icon and time are gone from the menu bar, no programs will print. I have tried restarting, repairing permissions, removing safari beta 4 (downgraded back to 3) with no luck. Trying the combo update is my next thought?
