Jul 1, 2012I recorded mvi movies using my Canon Powershot camera a few years ago. They seemed to upload fine and show a thumbnail image, but won't play and won't download. With the iCloud switch coming, I'd really like to download the files.

MobileMe :: ICloud Not Have A Gallery Function?
Jun 26, 2012there is no replacement for MobileMe Gallery, and all of the albums that we have uploaded over the years will just go away. It is even more maddening as we have been paying customers for several years. I know we can redownload the pictures, but what the point? We uploaded the to share with loved ones. Â How can iCloud not have a gallery function? Why is there not a way to migrate photos in MobileMe Gallery to iCloud?

Jun 11, 2012I've been paying for my Mobile Me account and use My Gallery to store movies for business, but now I need to 'move' everything to my iCloud. I have several Apple devices: my Mac [OS 10.7.4], my iPhone and my iPad. All seem to have iCloud on them, but I can't access my movies in iCloud. However, I can still see them in My Gallery, which I presume will 'go away' soon. So I need a place to put them to be able to link customers to them. It takes forever to put one into my 'dropbox' app. I thought they would automatically transition to iCloud? But they don't seem to be doing that?

How To Save MobileMe Gallery Photos And Movies
Jun 12, 2012Each of my MobileMe Gallery albums have been synced to my Mac, I see all of them in my iPhoto v8.1.2 (Snow Leopard). I'm not clear if they will still be on my Mac when MobileMe expires on June 30 so I want to move the albums to Photos in my iPhoto. The instructions I found in Apple's Support area say once photos are downloaded I can drag & drop them to Photos in the left hand column to ensure they are in my main iPhoto library. I can't seem to make that happen. Tried clicking on one album and dragging it to Photos - didn't work. Tried selecting all photos in one album and dragging the group to Photos - didn't work. I'm sure this is basic stuff to most but I am still fairly new to Mac.  will the contacts & calendar in my iPhone & iPad continue to sync using iTunes after MobileMe expires? Presently not going to upgrade to iCloud or Lion.

May 6, 2009editing my iWeb page and the "mobileme gallery" widget isn't loading onto the page. It says that I can't display any albums or movies. I've read that it's because either I'm not connected to the internet (not true) or that I don't have any albums published to mobileme. This isn't true because I do have albums that are published. How do I decompress all of them to the same folder? On windows and winrar, you just select all of them, right click and choose decompress to aaa.
How can I do the same with a Mac? I don't mind having to use another software, except that Stuffit, the Unarchiver and Springy are all useless as they don't integrate with the finder context menu nor do they have that option anywhere.

Jan 31, 2009I'm currently running iMovie '09 on my Powerbook G4 and everything is running fine except the export to MobileMe gallery. When ever I create a movie and click the publish to MobileMe, it checks with MobileMe for a second then takes me to a sign-in or try free for 60 days even though I am signed-in in system preferences. Even when I logout and log back in the sys. prefs. it still doesn't recognize that I am logged in to MobileMe.
I'm thinking that when It "checks with MobileMe", it detects I am running on the "non supported" G4 processor and won't let me proceed to upload.

Apr 15, 2012I still have that darned "MobileMe" preference pane in my System Preferences. I've looked at Preference Panes in both my root and user Library folders, but can't find it there. Using Easy Find, I found 335 files with "mobileme" in the file name. When I selected all and tried to trash them, only 6 files would delete, leaving 329 mobileme files. How do I delete all these mobileme files - I certainly don't need them any longer yet they seem to be everywhere and they seemed to be locked or inaccessible even under an admin account.

May 31, 2012ive been using my mac to unzip zip arhcive files ive downloaded from the internet and for the past few months ive had to troubles at all. but more recently my mac wouldnt actuallty zip the files. so i started using a free application in the app store called stuffit expander. but now even stuffit expander wont unzip my files. what is happening? the stuffit expander just says it is unable to recognize the file type which makes no sense, and when i use the default unzip application already on my mac it just turns the zip file into a file with the extension .cpgz

Software :: Downloaded File Disappears / Unable To Find Downloaded Files
Apr 28, 2010About a month ago, a friend who had just purchased his first Mac emailed me and asked why his Dock DownLoad file disappeared. I had no idea why. He still hasn't been able to reestablish it.
Yesterday, I downloaded something and my Dock DownLoad file vanished. I have tried rebooting, using (useless) Help, Spotlight, Search, and several other things. NO JOY. NO DownLoad file.
1. Does anyone know where to find DownLoad or how to bring it back?
I have experienced several idiosyncrasies with Snow Leopard, but when I call Apple support, they are very nice, but haven't a clue as to why it's happening.
2. Another problem is that the Highlight gets anchored on something in Mail, Word, and some other Apps. When I click somewhere else, the whole area between the "anchor" and what I click on is lit up. Apple doesn't know what causes it. I have to go through multiple machinations to shake it loose. I don't know what it is that causes it or specifically how to "shake it loose". Neither does Apple.
3. When typing in Word or an editor, there are times when the type changes to UpperCase and won;t let go.
Another problem is that, at times, when I click on a file, it fills the screen. Apple is aware of this problem and is trying to find an answer. Nothing, to date.
Apple support can't tell me why the MacMail Inbox spinner disappeared or how to get it back.
There are times when I can't access the hidden Dock. After rebooting and trying other things, the Dock finally shows up but any additions that I have put on the Dock are no longer there.
When I put a DVD in the slot, for the first few seconds, it grinds but does smooth out.
I thought that SL was supposed to get rid of the "foibles". "What happened on the way to the Forum"?
Is anyone finding other SL idiosyncrasies? What are they?
If anyone can help with items 1., 2, and/or 3. I'd be grateful.
BTW, Apple says that items 2 and 3 MAY be caused by the wireless Magic Mouse and/or the wireless keyboard; however, when I use alternates, it still happens.

When I attempt to save a pdf file downloaded pdf file I get the message "The document '85book-eng.pdf' could not be exported as '85book-eng.pdf'." I have a MP running Lion. I get the same message whether I use Safari or Firefox.

May 10, 2012I am looking for web photo gallery software that will automate the creation of a web site. I searched the web, and could find anything that worked right. I tried the Photoshop option for this, but it does not make a nested site.I wanted to try the Dreamweaver option for this, but it is not available in CS6 now. I simply want to be able to drag a series of folders (full of images) into an empty home page, and have the software make an index.htm home page that contains links (using the folder names) to other new automatically created pages, which the software makes using the folder names, and which contain links to the images in those folders. Yes, I can build such a thing manually, but I want an automated way to do it, since I will have to do it again and again with different folder sets.Â
