I cannot figure out for the flippen life of me how to resize pictures on my I-mac. I have snow leopard but only I-life 08. I was going to get I-life 09' but I decided to wait and see if they are going to come out with a I-life 10'.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get my photos out of iphoto in applications 179mb and put them into my iphoto library in pictures but I cant do it I have tried using import but iphoto in applications is not highlighted.
all my pictures out of applications and into my library.
Also when I try and connect my camera to import my pictures my computer keeps looking for my time capsule.
I want to procted pictures or the iphoto itself with a password so certain persons can't see my pictures. I know i can hide them, but is there any way to protect them any further? That way anyone who acesses my computer can't have them and i don't want to.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem sending pictures from my Samsung U800 to my iMac using the bluetooth connection.
I've gone through all the set up adding my phone and it has said that it is connected successfully and has a list of the folders on my phone but when I open the folders there is nothing in them.
Alternatively when I try to send the pictures from my phone to the iMac it instantly says 'Sending Failed'.
I needed to delete 2 pictures from ICloud, with 5.1 and higher this should have been as simple as right clicking and choosing deleteIt did not work, followed directions for resetting ICloud, it said existing pictures already saved on Imac would not be deleted, after reset just send pictures from your device back to Photo Stream, it deleted all pictures that I had in IPhoto that I had pushed to Photo Stream icloud, how can this happen and how do I get my pictures back.

Is there any way to move the existing pics on my iPhone to, my NEW iMac? I HAD a PC which, crapped out (hard disk failure). My problem is, if I let iTunes, sync, it will erase my pictures for which, there is NO backup. If I lose the pics on my iPhone 4, they are gone forever. Emailing them is not an option, there are 2000 of them.

Messages on my iMac won´t show Pictures that someone send to me, while my MacBook will show them perfectly. The Same goes for Videos.
While the MacBook and my iDevices show the Pictures inline my iMac only show the Filename next to the Spyglass-Icon.
Is there a way to fix this without loosing my recieved messages?

I used a new USB flash drive this morning to transfer my pictures to. It showed it was transferring them then the screen went blue and nothing responded. I shut down the computer and unplugged everything but now when I turn the computer back on it shows my home screen and I can see the mouse icon moving around but I am unable to 'click" on any of my programs and get a response.

Messages keeps switching the conversation view from "Show Names and Pictures" to just "Show Pictures". This is in the menu under: View > Messages > Show Names and Pictures. I have to change it multiple times a day, including every time I open the app from a closed state.
This is very confusing in group iMessage conversations where all the iMessages are coming from the same grey silhouette icon. The issue is only happening on my Mac mini. It's not happening on my MacBook Air. Both are running Mavericks 10.9.3...So I keep changing the setting here, but it somehow just switches back to Show Pictures only:
Basically the user is running 10.6.5 and has removed their Boot Camp partition, but is unable to grow their partition into the newly empty space.

On Windows in paint all you do is paste the picture and then resize it by dragging the corners, is there a way to do this on macs? I can't seem to find a way to do this in preview. And in Seashore I don't know how to do this unless I manually put in the scale size I want. I simply want to drag the corner of the picture to make it the size I want, how can I do this?
View 24 Replies View RelatedMy iTunes library is on an external drive, and I borrowed a macbook pro for this trip. The last time I opened iTunes was on my 24" iMac, so the window was pretty big. Now that I opened it on the macbook, with a 15" screen, the bottom is just not on the screen and I have no way to read the corner to scale it down. It stays like this even if I quit and restart.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI managed to make a window slightly bigger than the screen, and now I can't access the 'handle' in the lower right corner to return the window to normal size.
I was using screen sharing from another computer and some strange things were happening, and I ended up with my iTunes window a little bigger than the displayable area on the screen. If I move the window up as high as possible (so that it's up against the menu bar), the bottom edge is just hanging off the bottom of the screen, just far enough that I can't grab the resizing handle.

In Windows 7, the OS is able to resize the windows to where it splits the screen between the two open windows equally. I could have sworn OS X is able to do the same thing, but I can't remember. View 12 Replies View RelatedI was playing with the maximize button on a Finder window a few days ago and toggling it would yield a different size every time (guess I was amused by that). So it go into a state where the resize corner is out of reach always now. Clicking on the maximize button does not change the size at all and just remains there. I want to be able to resize Finder again. How do I do it? For reference, attached is the screenshot of my desktop with Finder window, so you can see what I mean. I am unable to find a way to get it to a stage where the full window can be shown and I can resize it.
