Does anyone know how to hide/remove the title bar (I believe that's what it's called, in other words the small gray bar with the close/minimize/maximize buttons on the top of every window in os x) of a window in 10.5? I've searched the internet and forums for the past hour and no luck.
My main problem is that I can't get chromify to look nice, but now that I've started thinking about it I realized that I never use the title bar; I just use command-w.
I am using the "White" template, and on my top page, the page title is right there in my webpage. How can I get rid of this? When I load the page with text edit, I get some crazy Apple page, so I don't seem to be able to edit the HTML directly. Honestly, I hope to find solutions to problems like these so that I can avoid HTML in the future.
What happened to the title bar roll-up/minimize feature in OS9? Right-clicking or double clicking the title bar in OS9 would result in the window rolling up, showing only the title bar. It's great for reducing screen clutter while still keeping the windows on the desktop (not hidden into the dock).
It's no longer in OS X 10.5. I loved that, so much that I even installed a MS Windows version of the same feature. Is there a program or hack to achieve this in Leopard?
Most of my educational DVD are in ISO format. As Handbrake sees it, each lecture on the disk is one title, and it converts one title to a destinationfile at a time.
How do I convert the entire disk (iso file) to one file in Handbrake?chris650
I have hundreds of mp3 files that have unique file names in succession. i.e. mysong8001.mp3 and mysong8002.mp3 and mysong8101.mp3 where "80" and "81" are the year and "01" and "02" reflect the order of the files for a given year.
The person that created the files did not add any tags except for a Title. Unfortunately all of the files for 1980 have the Title "1980" and all of 1981 have the Title "1981". Once imported into iTunes, there is no way to distinguish the files or their order.
Is there a way to change the id3 tag info for the Title to be the same as the file name? So that in iTunes, the Title would be "mysong8001"?
I would prefer to change this for all files in a directory rather than me having to open each file's info and manually change it. That would take days to weeks to accomplish.
One other thing that would be nice is that as a group of files, that I could also change other tags as well that would be common to all of them like the "Artist", "Album", etc.
Any suggestion for an app (on a Mac) that would let me do this would be appreciated.

A client asked me to remove a word from a title (I'm using the Lens Flare title). I removed the word, let it render, and playing back in FCPX, sure enough the word is not there - but when I export it using Share > 720p, the word is back! Three times I've exported the project and each time the word is still there.
This is starting to cheese me off. iMovie '09 is acting pretty strange. It does not let you drag titles into the storyboard, unless they are at the very beginning. Is this some kind of bug.
I have used iMovie '08 for months without issue, but this is my first project in '09, and it won't let my drag a friggen title in!
I also noticed that the red playhead likes to freeze where it is at random times, it stops moving with the mouse. Clicking the mouse-pointer button in that middle toolbar has no effect.
1) If i have multiple aplications open, is there a way i can automatically tile all the windows so i can multi task between them

3) Also for Entourage, i am able to recieve emails but not send anything, i have already done the settings as stated from earlier threads but still nothing.
I love osx leopard with just a few exceptions. I hate the ugly gray menu and title bar colors.
I found a utility to change the menu bar color (LeoColorBar) and was able to change the menu bar color to match my firefox theme, (Aeon Clouds 2.9.1).
It would be great to change the firefox title bar as well. Do you know of any utility or terminal command that would make this possible? I use the latest version of firefox, 3.0.3.
I am trying to upload some videos to the youtube channel, but need to change the titles that they were originally given. How can I retitle them or save them with a new title?Â
While importing a Classical Music CD I was given two choices to pick fromfor the name and playlist. I chose one and it was wrong. I did not import it but rather ejected it and them remounted it to choose the right name and playlist however it no longer gives me a choice, it goes right to the previously chosem incorrect name and list.Â
I tried ejecting, quiting iTunes, restarting iTunes and reinserting but it still goes right to the previously chosen incorrect name and list. How do I rectify this? there must be some info to delete on my HD so it will give me the choice again.
For the last two weeks, when using Safari, the top bar which shows the word Safari, File etc (can't remember what it is called) disappears unless I move my cursor up to it. I have checked Safari preferences and System preferences and can't figure out how to stop it from disappearing. I suspect it is a check box.Â
I have tried to check the "view" option to hide/show and neither solves the problem.Â

I have difficulty distinguishing between active windows and inactive windows because the title text for both is a shade of gray. How can I theme OS X Lion to use black text scrollbar, and controls for active windows; gray for inactive windows? I am tired of having to click on a window to ensure that it is active.
I am creating complex titles in FCE using the lower-third feature. How do I save these settings to use the exact same ones later? I don't want to start over and may not remember exactly what they were. They need to match through the video. It seems that I have done this before but can't remember and of course nothing in the documentation.

When I open my e-mail in the past the top half of the page was the title and the bottom half was the text of the e-mail, now all I get is the list of the title of the e-mail and not the text it is just one long page instead of being divided in two.
When using certain apps in fullscreen hovering the mouse over the top of the screen produces the menu bar, AND a title bar which is interfering with screen real estate.Â
How do I remove it?Â
The screenshot below is with a youtube video playing in fullscreen, and the menu bar popped down.
The title bar saying "Safari" and with the green button is the one I want removed. This title bar seems to pop down in Java and Flash apps, and it's particularly irritating when the pop-down steals screen real-estate (photoshop, bitwig, Flas-player, etc.). Ideally I would like to stop the menu bar from popping down as well but it doesn't seem possible.Â
I have bought a new iMac today and want to know how I can stop the title bar disappearing when I am in Safari? Have tried system preferences and no luck!
Songs with long titles that belong to the same album are ordered side by side at a fixed width. I cannot view the song title without watching it scroll at the top. Or a way to "correct" this? I have many classical pieces that have long descriptive titles. Takes forever for the marquee to scroll!
Have been trying to get in a special character [the tick mark] onto a text title on my current project. Had gone to the special character option under EDIT menu, and added the desired special character to the 'favourite' list, but after that I do not know how to move ahead.

I'm working on a series of short sports videos that will be playing on jumbotrons, and have been trying to create a Title template in motion, with intent to publish it to use it Final Cut Pro X. I started creating the first title, and then after Saving it and publishing it, I opened FCPX to add the title. The title tile under 'Titles' would appear in the correct category, and would show the tile, until I moved the scrubber over it. Upon scrubbing the new title, or placing it in the timeline and scrubbing it, it would show a RED T error. I was using a newly installed font, so I decided to try a brand new basic template with a basic font, and the same thing would happen. Â
FCPX and Motion 5 are both updated. I've done this before, but it was a couple of years ago.
I am using MTR r14d and I can rip Blades of Glory but the main title does not play and crashes Apple DVD Player and VLC. Any help or an update to MTR could be helpful. I just got MTR so I am still learning it. Is there a way to check for updates?
That pretty well some it up. I've looked and looked and it seems this is not an easy thing to do! I guess the Proper() function from Excel doesn't exist in applescript?
I have two Macs, and on one I went through the arduous task of labelling a bunch of CD-R's I made ages ago in Itunes, and now I want to import those discs via different encoding into another computer, but don't want to have to re-enter all that info. When I put the discs into the original machine, the info is still assigned to the disc. I want to migrate that info to the other machine so I won't have to re-enter this stuff. I feel like I found this data at one point ages ago, but now I can't.
