Importing CD - Titles:
Trying to get CD-informations I receive the error message "user not registered for online use".
How can I fix that ?

I recently downloaded and installed Office for mac 2011. Unfortunately, i had already had a different version of office for mac that contained a different name (my friend's) who had licensed the product and registered for it. Now that i paid and have office for mac 2011, i'd like the product to be installed, licensed and registered under my name. unfortunately, i don't know how to change the name that says it's still registered to, when it should be registered to me now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHave recently done a clean install of Lion onto a Mac Pro that was running Snow Leopard. Upgradede to 10.7.3  The Lion Mac sits on an office network of several macs running Snow Leopard and a Network Shared HDD.  In order to gain quick full access to the other computers we have been using "connect as" then inputting the macs registerred user administrator details, we were able us access to the full Mac and it's currently mounted hard drives. Since installing Lion I can see and fully access the network share which only uses guest access, see the Other macs in finder, add to their drop boxes but not connect as a registerred user to access one of the snow Leopard machines.  I get a pop up. Spinning wheel, and eventually a timeout. Can't even cancel this action as it comes up greyed out. Oddly the other macs can still log into the Lion machine. No joy so far toggling network preferrences and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a setting I have missed, So far have had not joy looking online or playing in seeing why it would now not be able to connect as before.Â

However, when I select a computer it tries to connect using my Apple ID by default. Is there a way to force it to use a registered account instead? When it connects via my Apple ID I can't log in to the virtual display (it locks up on the login screen)...

I received a mail from Apple with regards to change in settings of my iTunes or Apple ID on my Hotmail Account. So I clicked the change account and created a new Account using my Gmail ID. Little did I know, after successfull completion that the apps downloaded using my hotmail id would not be allowed to update using my ne registered gmail id.Â
So, I try to login using my old id (yes hotmail). Now the catch is I forgot the pass for this id. So I click 'forgot pass' and a msg comes send email notification. Now comes the main point! I'm not recieving a single mail from apple on my pass retrival?! Which means i cannot update my apps (including the paid one's) + I'm scared that my CC deatails will be miss-used on the old id!Â

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhile importing a Classical Music CD I was given two choices to pick fromfor the name and playlist. I chose one and it was wrong. I did not import it but rather ejected it and them remounted it to choose the right name and playlist however it no longer gives me a choice, it goes right to the previously chosem incorrect name and list.Â
I tried ejecting, quiting iTunes, restarting iTunes and reinserting but it still goes right to the previously chosen incorrect name and list. How do I rectify this? there must be some info to delete on my HD so it will give me the choice again.

Songs with long titles that belong to the same album are ordered side by side at a fixed width. I cannot view the song title without watching it scroll at the top. Or a way to "correct" this? I have many classical pieces that have long descriptive titles. Takes forever for the marquee to scroll!

I have two Macs, and on one I went through the arduous task of labelling a bunch of CD-R's I made ages ago in Itunes, and now I want to import those discs via different encoding into another computer, but don't want to have to re-enter all that info. When I put the discs into the original machine, the info is still assigned to the disc. I want to migrate that info to the other machine so I won't have to re-enter this stuff. I feel like I found this data at one point ages ago, but now I can't.

Ok, a few months ago, I posted a problem concerning songs from my ipod that, when played in my car through the car's integrated cable, would suddenly stop playing, even though the song's title and counter were still showing on the dashboard screen. This happened with a 3 year old ipod. After taking the car into the dealer, they found no problem. Subsequently, when driving a loaner or rental, the same thing would happen when the ipod was hooked up with a Belkin cable. So, I bought a new ipod. Guess what? It still happened, AND in other cars. So then I bought a new car (not for this reason; it was just time!), and it still happened, BUT...now it's doing it when I have my iphone bluetoothed!! The songs playing are coming from my iphone, which is connected to the car through bluetooth. So, my thoughts are leaning toward something wrong with my songs, in itunes. This happens inconsistently, and not necessarily with the same songs.Â
I've already spoken to 2 different people at Apple, spending hours on the phone.
I'm trying to buy more episodes for a show (Supernatural S9 if it makes any difference) and I try to click the SD button, but it doesn't change anything. I've only bought a few episodes of this show separately instead of a season pass because I've already seen several episodes, therefore I can't download them from cloud. the HD button next to the title and season of the show disappears after clicking the button, but nothing else changes. I tried signing out of my account and trying it on my sister's, and the switch between them worked perfectly fine? could this be an error with my account? I've tried restarting iTunes and my laptop, and nothing is changing.

For example, if I am:
[1] copying files between my MB and MBP or iMac over my airport network
[2] downloading a movie off iTunes, or
[3] ripping a backup copy of a DVD I own using Handbrake to view in iTunes
These are all tasks that may take a while -- as in, I que them up, then go do something else while the Macs work. Do I need to adjust my energy saver preferences to "never so that the Macs don't go to sleep while working? Or is there something that tells the Macs they are in the middle of a file transfer, iTunes download, or DVD rip, so that they don't fall asleep mid-stream?
How do I move all my iTunes stuff from one user to a different user (NOT to Shared) on the same iMac? I am the administrator.

When I press the "" key, it stops. I think my keyboard got some problems....do you think I can pick up the "" key myself for checking? Mine is a MacBook Unibody.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI like when Mac products "just work" -- except when they don't. In this case, I have a 2009 MacBook Pro and a mid-2007 iMac. I also have a 500 GB Time Capsule updated to the latest firmware. Not that it should matter, but I also have MobileMe. I've turned on the "wake on network" feature on the iMac. If I tell the iMac to stay awake, I can reach it fine (same as in Leopard). If it goes to sleep, it's unreachable. The way it's supposed to work, from what I'm reading, is that it's supposed to be accessible by advertising to the Time Capsule that there are services available (e.g. file sharing, screen sharing, etc). how can I be sure it's properly advertising this info to the Time Capsule?

Sometimes when I want to drag some files around it doesn't register I'm holding the trackpad down and it won't drag the file. Or it drags the file for a few pixels and release it by itself into the wrong folder. I have the same problem sometimes when I want to select some text, it only selects a piece of the text. Even if I work in Photoshop it doesn't always work great.
