Final Cut Pro X :: Title Not Updating In Export
Aug 29, 2014A client asked me to remove a word from a title (I'm using the Lens Flare title). I removed the word, let it render, and playing back in FCPX, sure enough the word is not there - but when I export it using Share > 720p, the word is back! Three times I've exported the project and each time the word is still there.

Final Cut Pro X :: Fading In Title Over Clip In Primary Story Line
Jun 25, 2014I'm having some difficulty adding a dissolve transition to a title that is connected to a clip in the primary storyline. I've tried leaving it as a connected clip, I've tried putting it in a secondary storyline, I've tried using both the dissolve transition and ramping the opacity, but no matter what I do or how long I make the dissolve, it only seems to last about 5 frames.I'm coming to FCPX as a veteran of FCP studio, and this was something I did quite regularly and quite easily. I'm using the most recent version of FCPX.Â

Dec 7, 2014So I found the lost project in FCPX. It has a music tract, text and video. When I pulled the project down for editing, I am able to separate the music from the video, but the text bubbles do not appear above the video allowing me to change the misspelled words that need editing.I've searched all of my backup drives for the original footage in case I have to re-edit the whole thing, but I'm unable to find the original footage. Every event in my libraries appears as a finished project.

Mar 18, 2012Today, with no major changes at all (or downloads), The screen on my MBP no longer shows the files, folders, and aliases I had set up. Only the Hardrive and Idisk Icons. Everything else is GONE? I rebooted, I relaunched, reviewed preferences. Nothing. I also repaired permissions and rebooted.
If I use Finder and drill to the desktop, I definitely SEE all the files aliases, etc. But the don't show up on my screen?

Software :: Final Cut Express Exports Text Poorly?
May 29, 2008I have just began using Final Cut Express. My video contains red text with a black outline created using outline text on FCE. It looks fine when watching the video in the canvas, but when I export it to a quicktime file, the text is blurry and hard to read. I have tried varying line widths and softnesses but to no avail. Another video I have made has white text with a black outline. It is easier to read, but still blurry. What can I do to fix this? Are there settings for export? iMovie has export settings and I am surprised to have not seen any for FCE, considering FCE is more advanced.

Aug 30, 2014I'm working in Numbers and creating text boxes. In the past there were always little square "handles" which I could use to control the shape of the box. These no longer exist. Their are just little squares in the center of the two vertical sides of the box so that I can only control the size horizontally, but not vertically.How do I now change the size of the box vertically? Why is it that simple chores always become so difficult with Apple?

Jun 8, 2009i also can't click on anything on the desktop, the only thing that is there and works are the words on the top, stopping at help. Also after every word i write, a pop up says 'alert cannot contact spell checker,' When i open safari i also cannot get it back to finder, and i can't search anything on the computer because after the second letter the screen flashes.
It started this morning i tried to write something in stickies and the computer went crazy to a blue screen and the loading circle started spinning around so i shut it down, when i loaded it up i had all these problems.
I have iBook g4 from 2005. What should i do, i don't know anything about computers. I tried searching online i tried to use killall Dock in terminal it didn't work, it said no matching processes were found.

Jul 31, 2005I have all my clips together and wanted to overlay a title on a still photo that I took from the video.
When I go to drag the title down to the video, the green + shows up, and I let go.
The title then just flies back up to the title menu and doesn't get added to the movie. What's wrong??
OS X :: Title Bar Roll-up Feature In OS9 For OSX?
Aug 22, 2008What happened to the title bar roll-up/minimize feature in OS9? Right-clicking or double clicking the title bar in OS9 would result in the window rolling up, showing only the title bar. It's great for reducing screen clutter while still keeping the windows on the desktop (not hidden into the dock).
It's no longer in OS X 10.5. I loved that, so much that I even installed a MS Windows version of the same feature. Is there a program or hack to achieve this in Leopard?
OS X :: How To Remove/Hide Title Bar?
Oct 10, 2009Does anyone know how to hide/remove the title bar (I believe that's what it's called, in other words the small gray bar with the close/minimize/maximize buttons on the top of every window in os x) of a window in 10.5? I've searched the internet and forums for the past hour and no luck.
My main problem is that I can't get chromify to look nice, but now that I've started thinking about it I realized that I never use the title bar; I just use command-w.
Intel Mac :: Printed Text Doesn't Match Size Of Onscreen Text
Jul 2, 2012Mac screen resolution is getting higher and higher, which is nice, but the downside is that we seem to have lost "what you see is what you get." I have set the default document size of Text-Edit to about the size of an 8 1/2 x 11 document, which fits easily on the screen. I have what appears to be a single page of text. It all easily fits in the document window. The headline fits across the width of the page. But when I choose Print, the print preview shows that the text is going to spill out onto two sheets of paper.  I exit out of the print document and reduce the text size so that it all prints out on one sheet of paper. The problem is, the size of the text onscreen is now TINY! It looks like it's about 6 point while the printed text looks like it's about 12 point! No WYSIWYG!  When I revert the document to the way it was originally, where it was going to print out on two sheets of paper, and then hold my printed document up next to the screen, the printed size matches the onscreen size almost perfectly, even though, if printed out at this size, the text would spill out onto two pages and be huge. In other words, 18 point size text prints out at about 12 points and 12 pt text prints out at about 6pts, so there's about a 6pt difference in how text looks onscreen and how it prints out. Again, No WYSIWYG! My older Macs had much lower-resolution screens, but text printed out at about the same apparent size on screen. I know the original Macs had 72dpi screens so that they would closely match the printed size of text, and I like the fact that monitors keep getting better, but is there a way around this problem of printed text not matching the size of onscreen text?

Applications :: How To Change Mp3 Title Tag Into File Name?
Oct 26, 2010I have hundreds of mp3 files that have unique file names in succession. i.e. mysong8001.mp3 and mysong8002.mp3 and mysong8101.mp3 where "80" and "81" are the year and "01" and "02" reflect the order of the files for a given year.
The person that created the files did not add any tags except for a Title. Unfortunately all of the files for 1980 have the Title "1980" and all of 1981 have the Title "1981". Once imported into iTunes, there is no way to distinguish the files or their order.
Is there a way to change the id3 tag info for the Title to be the same as the file name? So that in iTunes, the Title would be "mysong8001"?
I would prefer to change this for all files in a directory rather than me having to open each file's info and manually change it. That would take days to weeks to accomplish.
One other thing that would be nice is that as a group of files, that I could also change other tags as well that would be common to all of them like the "Artist", "Album", etc.
Any suggestion for an app (on a Mac) that would let me do this would be appreciated.

Here is an example:
Let's say I load www.google.com, it appears in the safari window as usual.
Suppose I begin to type a search in the google search field at the top right of the safari window (not the one on the google page)
if when doing this the sentence is long for the search, at some point randomly, the rest of the text will be entered this time in the google search text field on the google page! (which is the very next text field) So when I hit enter it makes google search half of my request...
Safari changed the text field I was into with no warning. I want to say I do not press tab at any moment. This is annoying really, and this does not appear anywhere else than in Safari. It seems the issue is not systematic, but appears quite often.
I have no universal access setting except "enable access for assistive device" I had to check this box upon installing a software in the past but I can't remember what it was.Â

Mar 1, 2009This is starting to cheese me off. iMovie '09 is acting pretty strange. It does not let you drag titles into the storyboard, unless they are at the very beginning. Is this some kind of bug.
I have used iMovie '08 for months without issue, but this is my first project in '09, and it won't let my drag a friggen title in!
I also noticed that the red playhead likes to freeze where it is at random times, it stops moving with the mouse. Clicking the mouse-pointer button in that middle toolbar has no effect.

Software :: Title Bar Color For Firefox(version 3.0)?
Oct 2, 2008I love osx leopard with just a few exceptions. I hate the ugly gray menu and title bar colors.
I found a utility to change the menu bar color (LeoColorBar) and was able to change the menu bar color to match my firefox theme, (Aeon Clouds 2.9.1).
It would be great to change the firefox title bar as well. Do you know of any utility or terminal command that would make this possible? I use the latest version of firefox, 3.0.3.
