OS X :: Downloaded The Safari New Version - Cannot Send Emails From My Hotmail Account
Nov 23, 2010Two years ago I switched over to Mac. Now I use only mac. But I don't like to change my email address from hotmail (I still have another gmail address as a standby account). Recently I found I cannot send emails from my hotmail account. Windows live says to upgrade my browser safari. Downloaded the safari new version. Then I found it is not compatible with my operating system OS X 10.5.5. What shall I do? I don' like the way they change software. There should be some solution. Can I buy new operating system? If it says Hardware is not compatible then money go into waste.

Jun 2, 2012I can send email fine from my mac client other than to anyone with a hotmail address... this just started recently as it was working fine and I haven't changed anything. The top ip address in the below error message is my ip. the other ip which is says messages cannot be sent from is not my ip.

Feb 2, 2010Since December, for some reason, I can no longer send attachments (i.e. Word docs) through my Hotmail account. I had been using Safari, but have also tried using Firefox without success. I can send attachments through my Yahoo account, but I prefer to use Hotmail as this is my main account.

Jun 26, 2014My website host says spam is being sent out from my computer over my private email account and I should scan my computer for virus or malware. Which app should I use? I checked my Macbook Air, iPad and iPhone and none show any emails being sent other than the few I have sent. Website host says they are coming from my computer and going through his server.Â

Nov 3, 2010This may be purely coincidence but within the first 2-3 days of shifting over to outlook 2011, none of my emails sent to user@hotmail.com are going through. I get a system mail admin return e-mail saying unable to deliver for 4 hours. Basically saying hotmail.com is not responding. I have never had this problem on mac mail or outlook for the PC. Is this coincidence or does Outlook 2011 get the blame?

Nov 6, 2010I just installed Mac Office 2011 and am having trouble connecting my hotmail account to Outlook. I go to add my hotmail account and everything seems to work, but it does not show up on the left side under inbox or anything. When I go back into settings, it shows the hotmail as my default account, but I can't see any of my messages. Also, periodically alerts pop up in the bottom right hand corner showing "new" messages, however they are really, really old emails from my hotmail account.
I can click on the alert and read the old message, but I can't find where those messages are on Outlook. I have successfully added my gmail account and my home university's account. One other thing to mention, when I delete the hotmail acct and try to add it again, it always adds "On my computer" under the inbox section. This "inbox" keeps popping up with old old emails. So I go into preferences/general and hide it.

Jul 4, 2012I have started using ‘mail’ for the first time, and have successfully imported 4 mailboxes into the program. I have two issues which I would be grateful for help with. I have browsed the forums used the ‘express lane’ through Apple, but to no avail: There is no ‘trash’ can. I have deleted several messages, but I don’t know where they have gone. When I check preferences, the tickbox to send items to the ‘trash’ can is ticked for each mailbox.Â
My work mailbox is successfully incorporated into ‘mail’, inclusive of mailbox subfolders, which are showing in the mailbox pane also. Lovely so far. My problem is that this has not happened for my imported ‘hotmail’ mailbox; my subfolders are not listed for this account.Â
