ITunes :: More Than 100 Films Disappeared?
Feb 22, 2012I bought more than 100 films then I have new Ipod classics and plug my IPod Classics in my hp laptop which said transfer and don't transfer then I click don't transfer and and it sync and dont know how alll the films I bought was dissapeared. how can I get my films back ?

Mar 31, 2009I'm not really great with technology and I was wondering would somebody be able to give me a step-by-step guide on how to put videos under one title (like an audiobook, if that's possible). My sister uploaded videos on youtube of her wedding/holidays etc and I have them on my iTunes (there are about 20 of them!) but in the movie library it all looks a mess! I was wondering is it possible to put all the movies under one title? I know I can just make a playlist or something but can be same be done in the movie library?

Oct 30, 2009All my media works well (songs, podcasts, new films), but my collection of old films which I ripped, don't seem to produce any sound. I ripped 2 new films, which produce sound so I am confused why the older films will not. Just installed the new iTunes update this morning.

May 16, 2012I've just bought Apple TV and seeing the way navigation works I've tried to change the genre in itunes to categorize my films. I can change the genre on some, but most of them I can't - the function is greyed out when I go to 'Get Info'.

Apr 7, 2012I'm have iTunes 10.6.1 and have just downloaded two HD movies from iTunes. They downloaded fine but when I went to play movies I get the following message "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes"! I can play the movie via QuickTime but not via iTunes. I am also unable to sync the movie to my iPad as it states during the sync that "this movie will not play on your iPad".

Dec 22, 2009When importing songs into iTunes, the software by default is set to copy the music files to the iTunes media folder and convert them to .m4a format. This, of course, results in having two copies of each song after the import is done. Before I disable this option I'd like to know what you think are the pros and cons of having this option enabled/disabled.

Each video TS file is a full length movie, but what I want from each movie is one short film which is part of the extras. So I want 2 short films on one DVD. Jun 18, 2008My DVD player software no longer functions on my Powerbook G3 Lombard (Bronze). I had a boot sector problem on my Powerbook and needed to do a wipe and reinstall. I have MacOS X 10.3 and MacOS 9.2.2 on my machine. I am aware that you can't use the 10.3 DVD player and so reinstalled 9.2.2 first. Unfortunately, I cannot find my original Powerbook system disc, so installed 9.2.2 from a G4 system disc I have. Now, the DVD player will not play DVD-Video discs in OS9.
This is a crucial function for me, as I like to watch films on it when I travel on the train. I need to find some software to reinstall from, or fix the hardware incompatibility in some other way (a patch or something). My hardware is: Macintosh Powerbook G3 "Lombard" (Bronze) 400MHz, 256MB RAM, 6GB HD, DVD-ROM. Nobody seems to have the DVD player program (1.3). They say you need 9.1 discs etcetera. I even tried one link that said download DVD player version 1.2 and a tome reader, but the tome reader download site wasn't functioning.

ITunes :: Copy Of Itunes Folder To Store On HD?
Mar 5, 2012Yesterday I made a copy of my itunes folder to store on my HD. I have until now stored all iphoto, music, vids folders on external drives in case something went wrong with my imac. Lesson learnt it happened to me as my external drive crashed and I lost it all. To solve the prob, I want copies on both external and the imac HD.
Now when I open itunes...everythign has gone. Its as if I have a brand new itunes oporating.( I did have the most up to date version before this all happned) I have redirected the path(in preferences) to the new location and checked it both ways with the old and new copies but now none work.
I also went to a randon song in the folder and tried to play it but it would not even play. It as if the path has gone

I bought another external hard drive and I want to copy my library onto that. My operating system is Vista. When I hook up the new hard drive can I just do the normal procedure that I used to put the library on the first external hard drive? Is it a totally different procedure?

Apr 28, 2009I have my iTunes on my MBP but want to be able to copy it to my Mac Pro. I copied the folder on my local directory/Music/iTunes. It contains many folders such as iTunes Library, iTunes Music Library.xml, etc. I copied that entire folder to my Mac Pro in the same location, local directory/Music/iTunes.
I then opened iTunes. All of my music was there but one issue I have is with Podcasts. I subscribe to many of them but have some set up to only keep one at a time, others to keep all podcasts that I have not listened to, etc. The problem is it just simply downloads all podcasts, not deleting any. It seems some of my preferences aren't being copied. Is there another location that I have to copy some type of prefs from?

Jun 28, 2012Trying to set up his mac with all the stuff on the family mac we've been sycing his iPod Touch to. Music and photos are no problem. I was surprised to learn that through home sharing I can simply copy iOS apps to his mac. I really didn't know this, and bring it up here to pinch myself and see if it is true that I can have the same iOS apps on more than one mac as long as they're all on the same iTunes account. Thing is, the apps only show up under home sharing on his mac in my user account (an administrator account) and not on his account (a non-administrator account). Is it because my account is a administrator account? The iTunes account is the same on both.

Mar 10, 2012My friend recorded a lecture using a microphone attached to his old-model iPod nano. I told him it would be easy to transfer to his computer, a Macbook Air. It was; he attached via USB cable, iTunes detected new voice memos, he said yes please copy the voice memos, and they were copied. Yes! He can now listen to the lecture on his MB Air. But... Now he wants me to listen to the lecture as I drive around with my iPhone 4. I thought this would be easy: attach my iPhone to his Air, open iTunes, and tell iTunes to put the lecture on my iPhone. But... It won't copy! When I try to drag the lecture from the main list in iTunes onto my iPhone in the source list, it always snaps back. There is no error message; it just "won't go". There are no copyright issues; it's a recording he made himself from a college lecture.
I thought maybe the issue was that the file was in WAV format. (I don't know if this is always the case, or if that was the format used natively for Voice Memos on his old-model iPod Nano.) I told iTunes to create an AAC version, which it promptly did. But that, too, will not drag-and-drop onto my iPhone. There are zillions of programs to copy from an iPhone or iPod onto a Mac, but how do I go the other way?
