When I go into the finder and hit "Programs" the folder opens but no icons are shown, If I hit it a second time (via left menu in window) they are shown roght away.

Jul 7, 2010anybody using Netflix? I love their service, and I just discovered netflix app for Plex. It makes things even more awesome. I have connection speed at about 15M. I wonder if I should watch video streaming on safari or plex? Will there be any difference in quality? If anybody have tried both, please tell me your thoughts.

Feb 13, 2006Earlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)�same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.
OS X V10.7 Lion :: Disk Utility Shows Incorrect Free Space
Jun 11, 2012The Finder window shows that I have 302GB of harddrive space remaining, out of 500GB. The Activity Monitor and Disk Utility show I have 240GB space remaining, and my System Profiler shows I have 239GB remaining. I just deleted a bunch of old TV shows off of iTunes (about 40GB worth) to open up some space, but only the Finder changed (up to 302GB from 260GB) but the Activity Monitor, Disk Utility, and System Profiler haven't changed.Â
Now, I'll assume the Finder is showing the correct amount of space, but I'm wondering why the other utilites are showing the incorrent amount of space. I have a feeling maybe something was screwed up when I created a 50GB Windows 7 partition through Boot Camp a couple months ago.Â
I've attempted to Repair Disk through the Disk Utility and it says everything looks fine. Any solutions to this minor inconvenience? Or at least an answer as to why this is happening?

As it was in .SCR i had to use the image recovery software and got it done in .JPG.The file's preview is avaialbe only on the app i used to recover. After i stored the image file on desktop and tried to open it i get an error "It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize."   Â

May 14, 2012I did as suggested earler to uninstall and reinstall adobe flash player. It works and when I tried to view videos on Photography it could not play the videos. It seems that the plug-in is missing. I am having this problem with my Macbook Air.

Sep 8, 2010I just love my new MBP that came with Apple SSD in it. However, I have only 128GB SSD so I don't want to fill it up too quickly. Today, I deleted tons of old emails in the Mail app since I remember that doing so can free up some space in HDD in my iMac. Surprisingly, I found that after I deleted those emails and emptied the trash, the used space of SSD went from 40.45GB up to 40.51GB . That was not the end of the story because 10 minutes after that the used space came down to 40.48GB . I monitored the used space of SSD by istat pro, if that matters.

Aug 21, 2014My MacBook Pro 13", running on latest update, is showing a completely blue, plain blue, desktop background. It changed all by itself. When I tried to reset it by right clicking on the image I want on my desktop and selecting "Set Desktop Picture" nothing changes. When I go into my settings and try to change it that way, the image I want as my background shows as already being my background, yet my desktop is still blue. Tried rebooting already.

May 18, 2012I am unable to import TV shows or movies purchased from the iTunes store to the iTunes library on my Mac Book Pro. What I do, is have a main iTunes library on my desktop Mac, where all my purchases get stored. I will then use the Import process via Home Sharing to put them on my MBP for when I'm travelling or away from home. I tried this yesterday and the files were transferred from my desktop to my MBP but are not showing up in iTunes. I have also tried the 'Add to library' and 'drag and drop' method direct from the MBP library location, but still no joy. It would seem that this has only started since the recent OSX 10.7.4 update, but I can't be sure.....I haven't needed to do it for almost two months.
