Have made sure it's deleted from Contacts and made sure it's deleted from "Previous Recipients" list in Mail. But it still keeps reappearing ... obviously a secret cache file hidden somewhere?

OS X Yosemite :: Prevent Unwanted WiFi Network Joining?
Dec 10, 2014this evening, a neighbor's xfinity wireless network kept flashing what appeared to be web pages on my MBPro screen. They weren't attached to any browser I was running.
I'd close these pages (ads to join xfinity) but they'd keep coming back. Then I noticed that I'd been booted from my own wireless network, and xfinity was the active network!
It feels predatory, this behavior. How can I set up our Macs to prevent this ever happening again? When I join our wifi in our home, I don't want any other signal to elbow in, so to speak.
Or, if there's some kind of interruption in our wifi signal, I don't want some other network elbowing in.
However it happened, how can I set it up such that, if I didn't authorize a wifi network, it will be prevented from joining me to it?

Mar 12, 2009It used to be that when I selected a message in my IN box and pressed "delete," the message would end up in TRASH. Now when I press "delete," nothing happens. The message stares back at me without blinking.
Should I choose an alternate route: Mail > Message > Move To > Trash, again nothing happens.
How can I force my machine to delete unwanted email messages? I'm running Mail.app 1.3.11 on OSX 10.3.9.

Dec 5, 2014When I want to add both the name and location of a place for a Calendar event's location (say, the name and address of a restaurant), Calendar and/or its integration with Maps will auto-complete the address. But when it does, it removes the name, and only fills the address.
Almost every time I then try to manually enter the name, it still changes it to address-only when I save it.
Example:
What I want it to look like:
Restaurant Name
123 Address Rd
City, ST 00000
But what it auto-fills:
123 Address Rd
City, ST 00000
United States
How do I get it to stop auto-changing it, and to accept my changes the way I want them?

Dec 3, 2014I've run the disk utility verify disk several times and come up with an error (post title) indicating I have a corrupt HD and need to repair. I've rebooted with command R and run disk utility to repair the disk and it says everything is fine. Reboot to normal mode and verify continues to show the error.
Other info says the file system exit code is 8.

WHERE is this list saved? I now want to move to a new Mac, and I don't want to lose all my "almost saved" email addresses.
Software :: Email Addresses Now IMAP Instead Of POP
Oct 28, 2009I'm using mail 2.1.3 on a G4 powerbook running Mac os 10.4.11. I've switched mail servers today, and all my email addresses are now imap instead of pop. That meant I had to create new email accounts in mail, and as I did, I deleted the old ones, as I would no longer need them. Unfortunately, All of my email seems to have gone with all the old pop accounts. Did I just lose all my email??? I really need to get some of it back, its been a few months since I last backed up. I did have all of my accounts set to not delete trash for 30 days, so I'm hoping its still some where. Am I screwed? Why would Apple not warn me heavily before doing something BIG like deleting all of my email?
