Just today I received about 6 e-mails that when I went to open them all I got was a blank page. I tried to delete them but can not seem to do so. When I hit delete nothing happens. The e-mails are from at least two different senders, both known to me and frequent exchangers of e-mails. Any idea of what the problem may be and how to correct it?
View 2 RepliesI got three e-mails that didn't load right or something. When I try to load them they are just blank. They come back every time I open up mail and I can't get rid of them. Besides deleting them (which makes them just not be bold) I have tried moving them to different folders and marking them as junk and nothing will get them out of my inbox. Two of the e mails are from one of my mail accounts and the other one is from a separate account.
View 2 Replies View Related i have recently been having trouble opening .pdf files properly. they open but they are all blank pages. they open as blank files in "preview", it doesnt open at all using adobe digital additions and through microsoft word i get gibberish or i get pop ups that say "word cannot open this document. the document might be in use or might not be a valid word document" ive downloaded over 5 times and each time i try with all three options and i get the same thing.
i tried to pull it into iArchiver but that also didnt work.
the file ends with .pdf
also although several other documents have done the same thing i know something is not completely wrong with my .pdf thing or any of those applications because other pdf files do open.
i tried to give as much information right at the beginning so forgive me if its too long.
I have recently updated OSX from 10.4 to 10.5 via archive and install,
and I copied the old mails into a new user account.
However, in doing so, "mail"shows all mails twice and I cannot erase them anymore.
Is it possible to highlight text in Apple Mail for incoming mails and outgoing mails?

[I'm running a MBA under 10.7.3, with latest iTunes (10.5.3).] Symptoms: The Home Page is completely blank except for right panels (Quick Links, Top Charts) and iTunes Store footer; all other tabs on top do the same, except for App Store page, which is completely blank.Connection to Store is fine--iPhone syncs w/o a problem, and I can see my apps, music, updates, etc., can even access my Wish List.Updates download w/o problems, but if I try to view page for an app, only the top part of the page loads, down to "What's New in version xxx". Since the latest update i can't load any pages in safari. The apple start page only loads a shortened version of the main page and then if i click on anything else nothing shows up. When i go to different websites i can see the title at the top of the page and sometimes the page even flashes to what the content is before going blank or green or whatever the background color that site has set. If i go to preferences and uncheck "enable javascript" i can get pages to load but its almost useless as i can't do much without it enabled, such as use my gmail, etc. Any ideas what could be causing this? I've run the flashback tool and that virus is not found. I've removed all extensions and reset cookies, reset safari and still nothing. If i use firefox i have no issues whatsoever so i'm not sure why safari is having issues.

OS X thinks my disc (containing several files) is blank when it isn't. The disc was originally burned on a Windows machine however I used it on my MBP last night and it worked fine.However today I'm trying it on my iMac but with no luck. From searching the internet this seems to be a very common problem with no solution. Has anyone else found a way around it?

I've always used Mail and I like it. I have three addresses, one of the provider, the other two belongs to my personal domain. They've always worked fine.
Since two months they suddenly stopped to send e-mails. The error says there's a problem with smtp server. I tried to change smtp settings, I've edited mail settings, tried to set up another account and tried to download another app for mail: always the same problem. My mother, that has a mac too and an e-mail account with our provider, doesn't have any problem. So I tried to copy those settings on my MacBook Pro.. nothing.
I made a website today, [URL], and published it to the Internet but the movies on it don't show up on the pages. I used blank pages for all the movie pages and each one has a 320x240 quicktime and a 320x180 wmv. Can you put movies on blank pages or do you have to use the movies pages templates provided by iweb to play movies?

Whenever I try to save a file and open it later,the file is opened as a blank document. This occurs with both pages and .doc files. Sometimes I can save the text in the file by using command+A and dragging the text over into text edit. But this does not always work.Recently, when I open the application, the template chooser appears but is blank.

So, I have a new MBP. I bought a 500gb drive to swap out with the 250gb drive. I did make a time machine backup, I have formatted the 500gb drive to be bootable etc.
However, I was hoping to do a fresh install and pick and choose what I moved over from Time Machine. So with the blank drive in the MBP, I have tried 2 different OS X discs. 1 that came with the MBP, and the upgrade disc I bought for my MacBook (in case the discs somehow behave differently)
Holding down C on restart does nothing in most cases. Holding down Option tends to get my pointer on screen allowing me to select the DVD, then it goes off and sounds like the DVD is seeking/running, and the screen alternates from it's blue and black, like its doing reboots without loading. That has gone on for a long time with no new messages/errors/status/reason for me to believe anything is actually happening.
My question is this....what am I not doing right, or what can I do different, so that a blank HDD can load Leopard? I'd rather not clone or load off of time machine, just never loved the image I have, wanted a fresh start.
I have a MiniDVI to Component connector hooked up to my television. Now what do I do, I just have a blank television screen.

I need to open a few Pages files but I don't have Pages installed on this computer. I understand you can convert Pages files to .doc or .pdf within the application, but unfortunately I won't have access to the computer with the program installed for a while.
Is there some sort of (free) converter that can convert .pages files to .doc or .pdf or even .rtf?
Or even better, a document creator/viewer than can open .pages files?
I am unable to open Pages because it says "pages is being updated." But it doesn't finish updating and I can't seem to force quit and re-open the pages. The same message keeps appearing.

Running 10.10 and I'm getting all blank pages when I print through the system or say Preview. Brother MFC-4710, upgraded firmware and downloaded new drivers. What is weird though is if I open a PDF from Chrome and printer directly from Chrome, it prints fine.
I've tried it on two laptops and both have the problem.
Is there anyway to sync the Mac Mail app and Yahoo! SBC Global server with each other? Like on the iPad, you can move files and such, and it syncs with the server. Can I do the same with my imac?

I recently upgraded to Lion and purchased/installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro (I was using Acrobat 7.0 with Snow Leopard). The only way to access these types of pages is by trying to download linked file (which sometimes doesn't work).

I have recently installed Snow Leopard (was using Leopard before) and this printer shows as supported in Snow Leopard.The problem I'm having, is that when I go to print a document from Microsoft Word (Office 2008) for Mac, all I get are blank pages. I printed something from Text Edit and it comes out fine, but files from Microsoft Word come out blank. Also, the "Test" pages come out fine as well.
