OS X V10.7 Lion :: 10.7.3 Can't Discover PCs In The Network
Feb 3, 2012need some ideas here, last night i successfully upgraded to 10.7.3, today however i noticed that i can't no longer discover my PCs in the network. i have a PC installed with windows 7, with one directory shared over the home network, i used to be able to access that shared directory in Finder -> Shared -> my PC's name.Â
now i can't find anything there in Finder -> Shared, except my time capsule.Â

I already restarted the printer along with the iMac and still it does not discover it.Â

Aug 20, 2014I own 2 iMacs. One uses a Magic Mouse, the other Magic Trackpad. I'd like to swap usage, but neither device will "discover" the new device to swap, and obviously I don't want to disconnect the existing one first because I'd lose control. The Bluetooth Preference panel just shows spinning wheel next to Device in the title, but never discovers the added device..

Oct 9, 2009I have a password set for the only account on my mac pro. My keyboard's batteries died before I turned on the machine. I replaced the batteries and now its stuck in discovery mode and I cant type in my password in order to log in. And I don't have a usb keyboard. What can I do? Other than go out and buy a usb kb. Dec 1, 2014I've added a Google Apps account to OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 few weeks ago to use it in Mail, but I removed it last week. I tried adding it back during the weekend, but I've been getting this error: "Mail couldn't discover the account settings for the Mail server domain"Â
This comes after I click "Set Up" and tick Mail only. I don't have 2 step verification enabled for that account and I didn't change any account settings since adding it last time.Â
Also, I can still see the account (as well as other Google account that's currently not added to OS X) in Accounts.plist located in: ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailDataÂ

Sep 14, 2010I often send photos to family/friends and would like to set up a group so I don't have to manually select a dozen addresses each time. However, many of my contacts have more than one email address and I would like to be able to specify which address photos get sent to. I can't work out if it's possible to set a default address to use.

Aug 28, 2009I backed up my AB as an AB archive before doing a clean install if SL. Now when I try to restore from it, 1 of 2 things happens: It freezes and I have to force quit. It won't open again until I log out, and then it imported multiple copies of all my groups and none of the contacts. It imports all my groups but none of my contacts. By the way, I tried to post this 4 times from Safari, but every time I typed 1 character in the title, it froze up on me, so I'm posting from my iPod. Why did everyone keep saying SL was so stable? So far it's been unusable for me!

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Getting Groups To Show Up In Mail?
Jun 3, 2012I have created a group in the Address Book. When I create a new mail and entered the name of the group, Mail shows only the name of the first person in the the To: field. How can I get it to send mail to the whole group?Â
A step by step:Â
In the Address Book I select Reagan, G Bush, Clinton, Bush II and Obama and go under File and select New Group and name it Enemies of the State.Â
I open Mail and create a new message. into the To: field I type Enemies of the State and hit Tab or Enter.Â
What shows up in my To: field is Reagan. No one else.Â
I go back and check the address book and there is certainly a group there. I click on Enemies of the State and it lists all the members of the group. Â

OS X Mavericks :: Can't Open Users And Groups Using 10.9.3
Jun 27, 2014I am trying to edit my login items as apparently from what I have been told that is the only way to get my Belkin n52te speed pad to work with OS X Mavericks, however when I click on Users&Groups in System Preferences I just keep getting "Preferences error: Could not load Users and Groups preference pane" I have tried rebooting, I have tried going into terminal and showing hidden files to see if there is a corrupted duplicate of the system preferences file.
None of the fixes I have found by Googling the issue to find posts about it have worked. As I said in the beginning I have a belkin n52te speed pad that I cannot change the keybindings for because Mavericks will not recognize the device as being plugged in. When I run the keybind editor program and from what I was able to find about that issue online it has to do with editing the login items to include a file from the installer and then rebooting and trying again. I could just hook into my windows PC since that actually works but its difficult to have to unplug the pad and hook it into my windows PC anytime I need to make any changes to the keymaps, so getting my mac to work.

-OD Master running 10.7.3
-clients running 10.7.3 as well..
-AD running windows 2008 server.
OD Master is bound to AD and i can see all the AD users and groups..the problem im facing is i cannot add AD users to OD groups under workgroup manager eveytime i add an AD user to the OD group, it shows as "NOT FOUND" and it shows aa weird ID "0433BF34-"

All my contacts are there and I know how to create groups but when I create a new contact and add them to All contacts the new contact doesn't end up in alphabetical order. Same when I add a contact in say Family.

Apr 12, 2012I have recently updated to iCloud - after trying for months and months to clear problems and more problems with my last year update to Lion..After my recent update to iCloud, several of my groups in the Address Book were duplicated. In the iPhone and iPad I cannot find any editing option for groups. But also in the computer, when I highlight the group and go to the Edit menu the option for deleting a group is gray and cannot be applied.Â

Jun 22, 2014Trying to set up calendar in Mavericks 10.9.3. The defaults are Blue = Home, Green = Work, Purple = Holidays and Grey = Birthdays.. until you uncheck some and they disappear.Â
all up and adding them ourselves.But when adding my own groups, I'd like them in different colors to make them stand out. However, they're all showing up as grey. I can't seem to find anywhere where I can set up my own colors.  I wish Apple weren't getting so controlling. I know many of you want everything to synch up but........not everyone uses the calendar for work or even wants to sync it with anything else. Â
The Calendar app used to be simple and easy and you could set it up however you wanted. Doesn't appear so now and very group the same grey color, isn't very useful! I'd get rid of "Home" too but it's the only thing that isn't grey besides Holidays-- since I eliminated "Work".  I don't know what "Home" is. Since "Holiday" is purple, I want "Medical Appts." in Red. I want other things in other colors.Â
