Every few minutes, my Mail rejects my Hotmail password and says "The Hotmail POP serverrejected the password for user ______". I looked it up on google and apparently hotmail may be set up to reject passwords or deny POP access if the polling rate is too fast... I'm not sure what's going on. I click "remember password in keychain" every time but it pops up every hour at least.

So the mail on my macbook just suddenly stopped being able to receive or send anything, everytime I open mail I get a pop up box saying:
The SMTP server [URL]rejected the password for user �schreiber16�
re-enter your password, or cancel.
So I enter my password but the box keeps popping up.
when it comes to this sort of stuff, and Google tells me that it may be something to do with my ISP.. but I'm at a loss how to fix it. I did a search and there have been others with the same problem as me, but most of them said the problem fixed itself, whereas mine hasn't after a couple of weeks.
I can access my email account through Safari - but I keep getting a user error in Mail and on my iPhone and iPad.

Why do i keep getting the following on my imac 27" when it does not happen on my ipad or macbook air? "The Yahoo! I canceled by mobile.me account and now I am getting this message when I open my mail. Enter password for account "smtp.me.com:xxx". SMTP server "smtp.me.com" rejected the password for user "xxx". I am wanting my emails that are read/deleted on my mail.app to be read/deleted on my iOS devices.
I am using Macbook Pro (OS Lion), unable to send/receive emails. I have reset all settings (no help). Problem is temporarily resolved by logging into webmail but then issue returns once Apple Mail app is shut down and then re-opened. Server tech support (Rogers/Yahoo) says that the mail client keeps sending the wrong password so the account gets locked out. I have changed the password and re-entered all the mail settings?

I'm currently locked out of my Power Mac G5. While trying to install the latest Java for Mac OS x 10.5 Update 6 from Software Update, my admin. password was rejected as invalid. When I try to change my password in Accounts, my old password is rejected. I've entered this password a thousand times, and, yeah, I'm slightly senile, but caps lock isn't on.

The SMTP server I use for sending email had been working fine up until about a week ago. Although no changes were made to my setup, now virtually every time I send an email, I get the pop-up "Cannot send message using server xxxx".
When click on "Try with selected server" (the same server), it will then usually send okay; sometimes it takes an additional attempt.
Is this some keychain issue or something?
I've deleted the SMTP server and re-entered all the info, but it's still happening.
The SMTP server is the one from my ISP, so they should be okay with it.
Since when I created an hotmail account on my iMac all the emails have been downloaded into the machine, but I can't consult them online from another PC. How can I keep using my hotmail with the Mac keeping the emails on the server?

having an issue with Mail. Iv had it set up to receive my hotmail emails however after i upgraded to leopard it wont remember the password. ill type in the correct one and even check "remember this in keychain" yet 2 minutes - a few days later it will ask for it again.

1. Create some pst file (or alike) that can be uploaded to Hotmail.
2. Find some setting that will sync the emails back to hotmail.
