OS X Technologies :: JavaScript Wasn't Enabled - Unable To Watch The Video?
Apr 11, 2012
I was trying to watch a show on Slice.ca and it kept telling me that my JavaScript wasn't enabled and I was unable to watch the video. a few days before I was able to use the site perfectly, but after downloading the new Java update it wont work. When I go into my preferences on safari, it says that java-scrip is in fact enabled, so I'm not sure why the website isn't recognizing that it is enabled.
Why i cant watch youtube as youtube inform this "This video is unavailable with safety Mode enabled. To view this video, to need to disable safety mode" how can i turn off safety mode

Every time I try to open a specific website, it pulls up an error saying "This site requires the use of JavaScript. Please check your Internet settings.". Javascript is enabled on Safari, but still won't work. I've tried opening it in Firefox and Google Chrome... same thing! I tried to uninstall and reinstall, no luck.
I'm using a macbook pro with Lion. I used youtube to listen to songs and watch videos till about a week ago. But now The site opens, but when I click on a video to play, they say that 'An error has occurred'. How can I make it work again?
It must be some ad blocker or something, but I can't view videos. I can't seem to find what's causing it. I can go to YouTube and watch a video, but when someone posts a link, I am unable to make it play. I'll get a site with a black rectangle where the video is supposed to be. Happens on links from tweets too. Safari and Firefox both. I tried the Flash uninstall/reinstall/disc permission/restart routine twice.
I can't see my buddy on iChat, after he/she accepts my request for video chat. What could be the issue? I just started using iChat for the first time and now have the issue of not being able to see my buddy on video chat. My buddy states the same thing, not being able to see me. I check the "Video" tab on the tool bar, ensuring that all items (microphone, camera, etc.) were enabled, and they all were.
Ok so i installed new software onto my mac then it told me to restart so i did. When it ran up again it gave me the log in screen so I logged in and typed my password in. Then it just gives me the default background and a cursor. I can log in on my other two accounts but all of my data is on the account I cant log in on! I have got Filevault enabled if that could be the problem??
Ok so within the last day my internet sharing has been working fine, it just won't let incoming devices connect to it. I.E. my Ipod Touch sees my MacBook Pro, but doesn't get an IP I believe, same case with my iPhone because it tries to use the Wifi, but since it can't properly connect either, it switches to 3G. If I disable the Firewall, everything works as it should, so the Firewall is definitely the problem. What I am stuck on is how to configure it properly so that I can use internet sharing, while having the firewall enabled. I haven't even touched anything related to the Firewall in months, so the fact that this just randomly happened is beyond me. I have even made sure that the internet sharing program in the firewall list has the "Allow incoming connections" toggle selected. I haven't touched the box that says "Allow signed software to receive incoming connections," but that box has always been enabled for months. I can't remember now, but I think initially when I came up with the idea that Firewall was causing problems, I noticed that the internet sharing program in the firewall config list actually had the "Block incoming connections" toggle selected. I thought allowing incoming connections would surely fix this, but I guess not.
I bought my iMac a few months ago and still can't get to watch what I need to for my business. I breed and own Thoroughbred Race Horses and need to be able to watch races on the web. The people in the store said sure no problem but I still cannot. I have downloaded Flip4Mac which seems to have failed miserably plus Real Player, Quicktime etc.
Can someone do me a favor and tell me if they can watch this video?
I can't seem to watch video of any duration, now. Downloaded tv show and slowed to freeze, stills, with audio going forward. I used to be able to. Watching streaming video is also similar, though have the variable of the wireless to factor in. I have one of the original airs with regular hard drive. I turn off virtually every application, but still doesn't work!
I have been having my mbp for a while already. My brother recently send me a link to a live stream video, but I wasn't able to go in to watch. However, he was able to watch it on his PC. I wondered if anyone have experience that? and what can I do?
I am planning to build a home theater PC by using the Mac Mini, I am mainly going to be using it on stream video and BT. Will I be restricted to browse any website, to download and open movie/song files, or to watch live stream video?
I'm essentially looking for a an adapter between mini DisplayPort and RCA connectors. I'm using a 13 inch macbook pro to a TC with only the red, white, and yellow (RCA) connectors. Unfortunately I can not find the cable anywhere online.
I have an emac 700 mhz power pc g4 with 512 mb, running 10.4.11. I cannot watch any video or movies on line. When I play these movies the playback is slow, so the sound is faster than the movies. It looks like I am watching in slow motion. I have everything up to date on this computer.
i just bought this product. i have a dish network receiver, and only needed my imac 27 to be used as screen. i just connect Elgato Video Capture and installed the video capture software , this softare only give u a small video to view so i am looking for some other way i can watch TV thur Elgato Video Capture basically just a bigger windows thats about it ..after doing some research i found out i would be able to do that with EyeTV but its not compatible with Elgato Video Capture.
I've never had any success in watching videos posted on Apple's web site. All I ever get is a QuickTime icon, controls and what I assume is a loading bar flashing back and forth like Kitt's lightbar from Knight Rider! It will never start playing anything. I'm at work and on a Windows 7 x64 workstation. I've tried Firefox v13, IE9 and Safari v5.1.7 using QuickTime 7.7.1. Here is a screen shot of what I see..
I've just bought my first mac and loving it except one major problem. I'm using it as a media centre to play music, photos, movies etc and most importantly to watch catch up tv. Unfortunately I can't watch bbc iplayer, itv or channel four on demand. Each time I load a video it simply stalls at the beginning (except itv which just rotates through adverts). Now, I'm sure you need some info. I've installed the latest version of flash and it seems to be working, I'm using safari and this is a mac os x 10.5.8. I've been trying to fix it for over 3 hours now and I'm losing the lot.
I'd like to watch video from a Sony HDR camcorder on my MacBook Pro during the shoot. The camera has an HDMI output jack and I've got the HDMI converter that plugs into the Thunderbolt port. Is there any way to just watch it, using the MBP as a monitor?
It would really be great if the viewfinder mirrored to the MBP as well..
One day I had to look for a web page that only supporst firefox or explorer, I do not like other browser but safari, so I had to install that **** firefox, once I checcked that page, (an official page for governement) I uninstalled firefox, I do not like it and I rather my safari, suddenly I cannot watch video on youtube using my safari browser, some videos I can watch and a lot of them I cannot, videos that I have watched before, I checked my other mac wich is like a twin of mine only less ram and It works perfect on youtube.
Get the spinning color wheel when I try to watch video on [URL]. I can watch the initial advertisement, but when it is time for the video to play I get the spinning color wheel and eventually says Plug in Failed.
I continue to get a plug-in failure message whenever i try to watch a video. I get it on safari, Firefox, and chrome. I have tried updating my adobe flash player multiple times, but it never helps.
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
