Safari keeps crashing when I watch video's on youtube.,
One day I had to look for a web page that only supporst firefox or explorer, I do not like other browser but safari, so I had to install that **** firefox, once I checcked that page, (an official page for governement) I uninstalled firefox, I do not like it and I rather my safari, suddenly I cannot watch video on youtube using my safari browser, some videos I can watch and a lot of them I cannot, videos that I have watched before, I checked my other mac wich is like a twin of mine only less ram and It works perfect on youtube.

It must be some ad blocker or something, but I can't view videos. I can't seem to find what's causing it. I can go to YouTube and watch a video, but when someone posts a link, I am unable to make it play. I'll get a site with a black rectangle where the video is supposed to be. Happens on links from tweets too. Safari and Firefox both. I tried the Flash uninstall/reinstall/disc permission/restart routine twice.

I'm using a macbook pro with Lion. I used youtube to listen to songs and watch videos till about a week ago. But now The site opens, but when I click on a video to play, they say that 'An error has occurred'. How can I make it work again?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I recently moved EVERYTHING from my old Mac desktop to my new one. When I record a video and then click to watch it, the recording screen will go black and the little color wheel will show up and long story short, I havent been able to watch any videos for a few days (for the first couple hours after the stuff on my old imac -> new imac, I could watch videos perfectly fine. Maybe its because I am currently updating iPhoto and its taking a veryyyy long time.) But...with my old iMac, I had about 10 slides of extra photobooth effects. It slowed down photobooth TREMENDOUSLY but I didnt know how to uninstall them.Unfortunately, those same effects have moved over to my new mac and its driving me nuts. I thought that was the culprit and tried uninstalling them. I cant do Library>Compositions>erase because when I do so, theres nothing there to delete!

Safari wont allow me to watch majority of the videos on youtube. Why is this?
Also is there anything i can do to download flash? It won't let me do that either.

I am having problems with Safari when I go to watch StatTracker which is used for fantasy football, the program uses Flash so I downloaded Flash player 9. But after having Stat Tracker open for about 30 seconds it crashes. I verified my persimissions and then repaired them thinking that would solve my problem. It didn't. So I was just wondering what should I do? Should I go and uninstall Flash Player 9? If I have to do that where is it located I can't find it in my application folder.

I would prefer NOT to need to download and/or use Flash as I have read and heard that this can create security concerns on my mac. I am ABLE to play the same videos on my iPad though ( I know the iPad does not have Flash ) When I try to play the videos on my mac I get a message stating: But on my iPad, I AM able to play the SAME video.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy White MacBook 4,1 (summer 2008) has recently started to have big problems when I watch on-line video from within a browser. What happens is:
-Launch browser (same behaviour with Firefox, Safari, Opera)
-Watch video
-Video behaviour gets jumpy
-Spinning pizza wheel arrives
-Browser crashes
I have tried a reinstalling Snow Leopard, disabling the browser add-ons, running the browsers in safe mode and I get the same pattern of results. I guess it is a hardware fault but I do not know how to identify the fault. System Profiler tells me my RAM status is "OK" and there are no obvious faults anywhere else in system profiler.
Every time I visit Youtubes home page my CPU locks up or safari crashes. It has been crashing a lot only over the last 3 days. This youtube thing has been going on for 1 day so far. I am on Leopard and everything is up to date.

When I go to YouTube to look at any video with Safari ( 5.1.7 ) on my iMac the video never loads up correctly. I try to pause the video to let it load up but the video won't pause right away. Then I get the spinning beach ball. The video will not play until the entire page is loaded and the video has to be loaded before it will play correctly. This has been going on for at least four or five months. Now if I use Firefox ( 4.0 ) there is no problem at all. I don't want to use Safari for everything and then use Firefox just to look at YouTube.

At first for the first 30 minutes all ok, then after a while the my whole computer and the audio jumps, safari is using 120% and finally the audio starts crackles and this includes all sound even itunes, the only way to stop it is to put my laptop to sleep .

I cannot get youtube to play on my iMac with OS 10.7.4 on safari or chrome additionally it will not play on any of my notebooks(MBP 15 2008w/ SL and a MBP 13 with Lion 10.7.4)removing and reinstalling chrome, flash. I've tried the switch from 32 to 64 to 32 bit and back.
