Every since I upgraded to SL, I'm now getting a scroll bar along the bottom of the page. Usually this would only happen if the text or picture is too wide for the page. But it's showing up on ebay and ESPN and other site where the content clearly fits on the page. That would be OK but it will shift position automatically and off-center the page and won't let me move it back

Why is my itunes page too long, I can't scroll to the bottom of the page?

Lion: there are sliders that allow us to scroll up and down a list in a column. the little arrows that were at the top or bottom of the scrolls ( in panther) that allowed slower, incremental, scrolling through lists are gone. Are they hidden or really gone? Also My itunes window is too long and I can't reach the bottom right corner to resize the window. what is the hidden trick to decrease the length of the window. Quitting and restarting hasn't done it...?

I'm using a wireless Mighty Mouse with a Mac Mini (the newest model) and am running 10.6.3.
The scroll wheel can scroll up just fine, but scrolling down, it literally only scrolls down a fraction of a pixel (if that's even possible) per finger flickr/scroll.
I opened the Mouse panel from System Preferences and adjusted the Scroll setting, but no luck.
Suddenly I can't scroll down using my aqua scroll bar. I can scroll up just fine. This is true whether I'm in Firefox, Safari, or any sort of document-making applications. System preferences is set to 'scroll horizontally and vertically.' It's not the end of the world, but it's klunky and annoying. Could someone please remind me of something very obvious that I'm obviously doing wrong?

I've tried using Bootcamp, Virtual Box, and Vmware Fusion to install XP and/or Vista Business and none of my installs have horizontal scroll. I've used all sorts of drivers from 2 onwards, updated all my Windows installs and nada.
Is this normal behavior? IMO, with all the reviews of Bootcamp/virtualization, there have been no mentions of the lack of horizontal scroll which IMO is a big detriment to the implementation of Windows. Without horizontal scroll, Apple has effectively crippled Windows to be unusable...
I have search this forum and the web for my answer with no luck. I have a 2007 15" Macbook Pro which has work flawlessly up until now. Yesterday, when I was done using my computer I put it in sleep mode as I usually do. When I went to use it today, I noticed I am no longer able to scroll down on anything using the 2 finger scroll on my trackpad as I usually do. I have since shut down and restarted my computer twice which did not fix the issue. Does anyone know why I can no longer scroll? I haven't downloaded any apps or anything recently that would affect this.

I have to say that switching to Lion has not been the joy I was led to believe. One of the most annoying of the many annoying quirks of Lion is that the right hand Scroll Bar no longer has Up/Down arrows, just a stupid and hard to see gray bar of varying length, and controlling it is a nightmare. Does anyone know anything about how to add Up/Down arrows to the scroll bars? Is there some setting. Apple, if you're listening, please restore this essential function to your OS. The lack of Up/Down arrows in the scroll bar makes Lion more like an alley cat.

Just got a new Mini with Mavericks. In setting it up I notice that applications like Preview and Safari, and probably others, do not have the scroll arrows at the top and bottom of the scroll bar. Is this something new with Mavericks, I've been using Snow Leopard for the past 5 years.

The OS and all other apps seem to be fine. I followed a tip on [URL] to reinstall the Logitech Control Center, but it didn't fix the problem. I plugged in my Mighty Mouse, but it won't scroll either. Maybe it's impossible but I heard I find the best pro users right here So my problem is: I have my big CD's collection imported into iTunes /Apple loseless codec/ - now I have my music in my hand /apple remote/ My wife has the same on the same mac - collection not remote In IT we have 2 playlists /her and mine music/ We can search for songs, bands, CD name etc. However, problem starts with the Front Row There is no possibility to have the same option, just scroll down a playlist? If I have 10 Cd's there's no problem - with 800 there is Hope, you know the trick or certain answer how to use FR in the same way as IT.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been using a KVM switch on a Asus notebook running windows 7 and an Acer E500 desktop PC running windows xp both connected to one external monitor . to switch between the Asus and the Acer it was just a case of tapping the external windows keyboard key ( Scroll Lock ) twice. now ive connected the KVM unit between the Asus notebook and my iMac , and one external monitor, now I find that there's no scroll lock key on my Mac external keyboard , so I cannot switch between the Asus notebook and the iMac , can any one please suggest what I have to do to be able to switch using my apple keyboard

Did apple just recently add two finger scroll to early non-scroll iBooks or was my iBook screwed up that it never showed up before? I was just in the system preferences last week and I'm 100% sure there were never any options for scrolling before. I'm happy it's there and it works, I'm just curious why it wasn't there before.
