im trying to print out notes for college and i can either download them as pdf or power point files. i need to print them out with 6-8 thumbnails per piece of paper via thumbnails but i cant figure it out. how do i do this on a mac?
either using open office or acrobat.
I do not get any sound when I recieve an email with Power Point attachment, Slide show comes up ok but no sound.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI transferred a Powerpoint 2008 presentation using a USB memory stick from my new iMac (latest OSX) to an older iMac (OSX 10.4.11) but could not open the file either by double-click or from the Powerpoint 2004 application on that computer. The file icon as transferred is a Zip file and when I double-click iI get a window saying 'Archiving file ...' but it doesn't open. Neither do I get an unzipped icon to open. I confirmed that BOMArchivehelper is enabled and exists on the computer. What am I missing?

I've recently come back to apple mac's, however before my new G4 ibook, i had a few pc's set up on a network, i've still got them and i want to add my ibook to the network, i've got most of it working, however my laserjet 4M plus which has a print server installed in it, which works perfectly with the pc's doesn't want to work with my new ibook. My ibook is connected via airport to a linksys access point, and that to the router, which in the connected to the laserjet. I can Ping the router and it all seems fine, but getting it to print just isn't happening.

Access to these is really slow because it seems to want to create thumbnails every time I access that folder. I don't need thumbnails as all the files have a strict naming convention so I know what I want by name. Whatever view I use to load files (I'm using Photoshop CS5) (list, column, icons) it always tries to put a little thumbnail preview next to the file name. Is there something I can type into Terminal that will stop it doing this.

Here's what happens: I create a Keynote '08 document and export it as Power Point. If I either double-click or try to open from within PPT '08, I get a crash stating that PPT has encountered an error and needs to quit. This happens EVERY time with EVERY single exported presentation. Oddly, it never happened in PPT '04.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I have decided to convert from being a pc user to have a go with a mac as i have heard so much positive info about its OSX operating system.
I have many word files etc (obviosuly coming from a pc).

Which one if all of these will enable me to just plug in my usb stick and download all my word/ excel files and pictures without any issues and edit/ change/send again without any issues.
I finally updated my software, first had to use Leopard, and then upgrade to Lion, which I just finished doing. I was checking everything out to see what changed....and now I can no longer use my Microsoft products!

I can't figure out how to print multiple slides on a page. On Windows I would just select print preview and then select handouts... done. Now I have no idea how to do such a simple task. Apple did not have anything for this model listed under the popup menu selection "Select Printer Software". The driver for printer was written for classic so I can't install it from the CD.
Everything prints, but an extra page is also printed with the following message:

For some reason when I try to open them now, I get a Converting: Metafile progress bar that pops up and it keeps looping like its converting something, and there is something about the graphic filter too that comes up but the document never actually opens. I can open Excel and start a new document and such but when I try and open this particular template it does this. I need to print out some invoices for my customers.
