Is it possible to AUTO PRINT when opening a PDF with a specific file name?
I ask this as I always have to print invoices that are PDF's for my business that are saved as file name
orders.pdf
Is it possible to automate the system so whenever I open a PDF file titled orders.pdf that it prints everything on the pdf without me having to click print?
Just thought it might shave of a little bit of time each day and teach me something new on my iMac.

I have a folder full of PDF's that I need to print. I saved a custom printer preset that I need to use. It specifies two sided as well as stapling. When I try to batch print through the finder (select all and print, or drop into the desktop printer), it does not use the preset that I created and there's no prompt to change it. I've also tried opening them all in Preview, but Preview processes all the docs as one print job. I need each one processed separately to that stapling applies correctly. I've also tried other tips about opening the CUPS printer page and setting default options. The office finisher settings of my Xerox do not show up on that page.

How do I print a contact address to a specific label on a sheet? This is so I can use all the labels on an 8 label sheet.
Also can I print a sheet of the same contact address i.e. all8 labels the same.
I had this sorted in XP, but Mavericks is proving to be a different matter entirely.

My computer won't open a specific folder in my documents folder. It will let me open other folders but not his one. When I click to open it get a notice that Finder has unexpectedly quit.

Whenever I am on facebook or on the internet and I click to donload a file it downloads to my downloads folder but then the second it finished preview pops up with the picture open. How do i stop preview from doing this?

Bought a Mac pro last month. It can directly detect the printer and print. Suddenly it can't print and show the message driver can't find. From that day identify and issue was the spotlight didn't work. Immediately send the hardware to the nearest store. Store helper advise to format the machine. No choice I have to allow them do it. Before format I do raise out the printing matter, they are so confident and tell apple mac is auto detect. Unfortunatelly the printer matter wasn't resolve. Need advise on this matter. On the other hand, how to made an complaint about store bad service at the store. The outlets :- Switch outlet located at taiping branch. Perak . MAlaysia. Â

I have a G4, dual 450, 1G Ram running 10.4.11. Recently after downloading and opening an .rar file, a file named .DS_Store appeared on the desktop. I have since deleted the .rar file, but cannot delete the .DS file. It is appearing now in all of my programs, including my camera when I plug it in. I've tried ClamXav, MacScan, and DnsChangerRemovaltool, also What'sKeepingMe, but nothing can remove it. Info says it's a document, 16 KB, and it reads as date created the last time I turned the machine on. Can anyone tell me what this is and how I can get rid of it?

My HP photosmart printer has stopped responding. The pinwheel comes up and freezes the computer when ever I try and access the printer, or anything to do with the printer. I have also tried going in through system preferences and the I cannot even access it. The pinwheel again pops up. I have not added any software lately. I have tried to update my software both for the Mac and the printer. There are no updates available. I am using Mac 10.5.8?

Is there any way we can set a file type (ex: .phtml) to open with a software forever? Like until death do us part? I'm very sick of having to chose "Choose a software" blabla. I want my .phtml files to automatically open with Dreamweaver. I did check the "always open this file with this application" and it doesn't work.

The following error message appears when I attempt backup using TM;
"You do not have appropriate access privileges to save file ".0019e33d49f6" in folder "Time Machine Backups".To view or change access privileges, select the item in Finder and choose File > Get Info."
Spotlight can't locate this file, I've ran disk utility to verify and repair the internal drive, verified the external, no problems on both counts. I even tried allowing read & write privileges temporarily to everyone on both drives, but no luck.

Whenever I attempt to change the default program to open a file, it automatically reverts to whatever was selected previously. I work with a lot of .ai files and my default Illustrator version is set to Creative Cloud. CC crashes constantly on my machine, however CS6 runs smooth as silk. I'd like to be able to double click an .ai file and have it open in CS6, not CC. When I right click > Get Info > Open with and change it, it reverts as soon as I click "Change all..."Â

Is it possible to turn off the feature whereby OSX presents me with a play button in the middle of a sound file? Everytime I want to select a sound file to move or delete it, I move the mouse over the file, click, and the silly thing starts to play. Okay, I know I can click outside the play button, but it is an extra bother to have to precisely position my mouse to avoid playing the file, a bother I can do without.

I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â

I am not able to print my .pdf file. Firstly, I had the 8.1 ...adobe reader version. However when I tried to sent pdf file to print, adobe reader would quit immediately. Secondly, I deleted the old one and reinstalled adobe reader 9.1.3 (my mac has mac os 10.5.8) and still I am not able to print the .pdf file but this time adobe reader doesn't quit, I keep getting the message that the document could not be printed.

Years ago, I could print out a list of files in a folder from the finder window. Is there now a workaround utility to do that? I don't want to use screen shots, as the directory is too long and would require several screen shots.
