View 2 RepliesI set it as a .pdf, but its a .pages extension file, bc I couldn't attach as a .pages file. This is my term paper for this marking period and a conversion to a .doc file would help immensely. I am at my school and can't download any programs to convert.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm sure a few of us in this forum own a 360, have any of you managed to play any REAL HD content without purchasing the HD-DVD player or converting your .mkv's to .wmv's. I've noticed that if I download a 1080p trailer from apple.com/trailers in .mov format it works flawlessly, perfect image and audio. Is there a (quick) way to convert a .mkv to .mov and have it play perfectly with no hitch, on the 360. If trailers off apple.com can play there must be a workaround. Below I've posted a screen of the downloaded trailers info that I got off of apple tv.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use several Macs. One runs OS9.2.2 and I made a screen shot of a file that I can easily open and read in OS9. The "get info" on the file says: "SimpleText document" size "252 k," "Version n/a" I sent it to my new iMac running Lion but could not open it to see the file. It is a picture. How can I see or convert the screenshot file made on OS9.2.2 on my OSX Lion system?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI couldn't find anything useable on Google. I'd like to convert a pdf to a cbz format. But I'd prefer a single piece of software that could do it in one step. I'd be willing to use something that automatically breaks the pages of a pdf into separate images, then go from there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I'm at the library and I got a really important file in my e-mail from my teacher with some really important information. The only problem is it's a .pages file and there are no macs around for miles. Can anyone convert this file for me? The library won't allow me to install any file converters on their computers so that won't be happening. If you are able to, send me your email address and I will forward the file, and you can just email it back to me.

I cannot get the files to open with the latest OpenOffice or TextEdit. I've been doing some research into how to convert them and came across a product called MacLinkPlus from Data Viz, but I cannot find it on there site and assume that it may have been discontinued. My forum searches here have yielded no results. Hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently, I have been trying to convert a movie I took to an iPod playable format. It is already .mp4, but iTunes will not add it to my library. When I try to convert it in Handbrake, the audio is just a constant drone, but video is fine. It will open in Quicktime, but I get an error when I try to convert the file through Quicktime.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any *free* applications that will convert QuickTime video to a Windows friendly format. One of the insurance companies I do work with will not let their adjusters install any other software on their laptops and they are PC's. I frequently send them videos so I will need to convert them. I will pay, if necessary, for a program that will accomplish this but I was hoping there might be something out there that is free.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to get my Fraps video files on my Windows 7 machine compressed into a format that will allow them to work with Final Cut Pro X on my mac.
Here is some information about the file I am trying to compress (acquired using MediaInfo):

Format : AVI

I have tried using MPEG Streamclip on my Windows machine to convert it to an .mp4 file, but that just gave me an audio file with no video. I then tried using Handbreak on my Windows 7 machine to do the same thing, but the resulting file was not even recognized by Final Cut Pro X.

I need someone to take pity in my soul and convert a .pages file to PDF for me. I believe my email address is visible on the forums. Full story: A good friend of mine, who unfortunately is not very computer-savvy, has asked me to print a poster at a printing shop near my workplace. Since it's no hassle at all for me to stop by for 5 minutes on my way into work, I gladly accepted.
This poster was made using Apple Pages. However, he didn't think enough to export it to PDF, and I've now come to find that the printing shop can't open .pages files. Since I can't reach my friend right now
I mainly am editing little clips that are 18 seconds - 2min each and putting around 25 of them together into a video with a bunch of special effects in them. I get these clips from a game called "runescape". Here is a video of something that I am trying to do, keep in mind I want it much better though. Please look at the first part of the video with the red lines coming out of the name.

1. video editing applications:
Adobe after effects vs Final cut pro 7 (I have adobe after effects right now, I don't have final cut yet)
2. movie converting:
my screen capture software is IShowU, it saves the files as a .mov, I have heard that you need .avi or .mp4 to edit videos. I have a program called "Xilisoft Video Converter".
1. Add videos to the list
2. I select "AVI - Audio-Video Interleaved as the profile (output)
3. I select a custom quality of 9999
Every movie converter I use lowers the quality of my video which is really, the method I use in the program I said above this is as close as I can get to the original video.
I am looking for an application that converts comic book files (cbr) to a image files. I have done a bit of searching and turned up with nothing useful.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have many videos that I have downloaded, ripped, and captured overtime. Some of which I would like to be able to burn to a DVD for personal use or to give to family and friends. My problem comes when trying to burn a certain video file formats to a DVD, one especially that will playback on a standard DVD player. The types of files I am interested in converting to DVD-playable are: .m2ts, .avi, .mp4, .mpeg, .mkv. Again, I would like to convert these movies, then burn them to a DVD to easily watch them on my home theater system's DVD player. So I beg the question, "Is this all possible?", "What file formats are commonly used to play from DVDs on a DVD player?" and "Are there any freeware based applications to get this job done?"

My Macbook pro just got sick! It now doesn't turn on, and the Apple Store says it will only be ready on Friday. I have a project to hand in tomorrow. The nice guy at the shop sent me the PAGES file I need, but now all I have access to is Microsoft Word. So, I am appealing to someone who has iWork to convert this PAGES file into .doc format, so I can try and hand it in tomorrow.
